B of A -blacked me out while investigating and told me how serious this was. I met 6 times to try to get info on my life savings- each meeting took 2-6 hours usually on Friday afternoon, Did not ask just told me after I harassed them constantly meet at a b of a branch so i could reverify my identity with notarized id verif from another bank. started 11/10/2022 - January I told them I need money to pay bills, my reserves were running low. So they split the account, gave me $4300 and showed me $7200 was left -to catch them - I received a letter May 25th - I assumed it was the $7200 or more whatever they traced - this was all taken in 2 days - NO ONE THOUGHT maybe to check? I was blacked out of everything except the $4300 - The letter was a bill - took the remaining $1200 from my split to PAY THE OVERDRAWN total and want me to pay $444 still owed. The account they kept to collect was stated to me in a letter May 20th $7200 and change- I am screaming and not 1 time was I consulted or explained the plan and -n NOT ! TIME DID I SPEAK TO THE SAME PERSON, not once.Last part - I am 64 yrs old, make good money and am a 25 year member with a perfect record. Let me know if you are in my boat - I am coming hard now. I can prove everything I stated, it is acually worse.

I will donate $20 for every $100 I collect to rip off report

We recently used the Bank of America's Payment and Invoice services to receive payment from a client of our's for a time sensitive project. We were under the impression that this would be a pretty seamless process but we later discovered that the Bank of America is basically using a third party processing company with little to no customer support. After our customer paid our invoice we then received a date when we would receive our funds. When that date came we received a notification via email that the payment would be delayed. No worries, it was just delayed by 5 days. So here we are 5 days later and no ACH received from Bank of America. This payment is now 12 days late when the standard ACH only takes about 3 business at the most to reflect. We reached out to the Bank to voice our discomfort about how this process is going and Bank of America placed our bank account under review and 15 minutes later they closed our account with "no notice" at all. Mind you our customers' $16,000 payment to us is now in limbo. Before using this product we did a little research and learned that this product would benefit our company greatly by simplifying our payments by ACH, so it stunned us to find out they they are using a processing company with 2 stars on Trustpilot to process ACH's when Bank of America themselves can easily process ACH's. We feel like our account was closed maliciously and we have formally filed a complaint with the FTC, BBB, OCC, CFPB and anyone else who will help me bring down these "CROOKS"!!

We were supposed to receive a Wire Transfer on December 19, 2022 on our Bank of Montreal account and we have not received it yet. 221219BOFAUS3NFXXX188520506

We did receive a Federal Reserve Tracking Number that Bank of America sent us and it appears that Bank of America and Bank of Montreal are playing the blame game

I bought a new car in June, 2016. The payments on the car were $579.96 a month for 72 months. I paid the car off, sometimes making double payments, and made my last payment for payoff in January, 2022. When I called about what I needed to do to get the title since I moved and live in a different state, they said that I still needed to pay until September, 2022, for the total of the 72 payments to which I had agreed to do inwriting, and states such on the contract.

They said it did not matter if I paid the car off early or not, that the contract is the legal document and that I committed myself to pay exactly 72 monthly payments in the amount of $579.96. After explaining that I paid off the payoff amount indicated online, they did not seem to care. They said I could either pay the monthly payments until September or I would have the vehicle reposessed. I have never missed a payment and have always paid on time, every time.

They continued to argue that the contract is a legal document, and it is what it is. I told them I would get a lawyer, and that my bank statements show that I have, indeed, fulfilled the contract by paying the total amount of the payments required. They claim I failed to follow the contract by not paying each month according to schedule, and that I did not ask permission to pay the car off early.

They said 72 months is what was assigned, and that 72 monthly payments must be recieved. I think this is a rip-off. Can they really do this?

11/2021, I took out a balance transfer to save a lot of money. The transaction fee was paid and the transaction completed. The debit/cc itself had a zero balance.

12/2021, I paid $1,000 more than the 'minimum due' before the due date.

01/03/2022, again I paid $1,000 more than the 'minimum due' and before the due date.

01/20/2022, I had a charge to the debit/cc and paid it off in full 4 days later.

02/01/2022, again I paid $1,000 more than the 'minimum due' before the due date.

02/03/2022, I had a <$20.00 charge to debit/cc.

02/05/2022, I was charged $1.50 fee without cause, on a zero balance due.

02/18/2022, I reported to BOA of the $1.50 charge via phone. He read the agreement and stated the charge was not disputable and non-refundable. I asked what was the charge actually for, not under what circumstances to which I can be charged. He looked and could not find an answer.

He then put me on hold and reported this incident to another department. He then stated the other department also could not find a reason for the $1.50 charge as I always carried a zero balance, paid a mininimum of $1,000 more than the minimum amount due, and nothing to account for a $1.50 charge.

He informed me the other department agreed to refund the $1.50, to which I was refunded the next business day. Bank of America debit/cc are making mint off of others not reporting this baseless charge. I will be reporting this to other agencies to investigate.

Start Date:10/2008-Filed A complaint with:The Ohio Attorney General's Office, about the mortgage company=Countrywide=now Bank of America, and was trying to get some of the excessive interest that they charged me taken off of my remaining loan balance. However, they have refused to reduce my loan amount=but, instead it has been increased=due to the fact I was unable to make any payments since=10/2008, due to severe financial problems. So, I tried to do a loan-remodification with them under President Obama's new Homeowner's Affordability Plan=No Success!

Then, I got NACA=Neighborhood Assiatance Corporation of America involved, but Bank of America has a contract with them to write all NACA restructured loans with the property taxes & house insurance included in the monthly payments. Well, I finally got them to take that off, so they say it is, but, it is still on the loan proposal on my NACA file. And, I am still trying to get them to come down to the lowest interest rate that is offered to people like me in my situation from the Bank=which is 1.875%=fixed rate @ 30yrs.., and to reduce my total loan balance from all of the excessive interest, late fees, etc., and I recently discovered they are even charging me another escrow fee to have someone drive by my house once per month to see if it is empty, or occupied or not!

Explanation of complaint:

I noticed three fraudulent charges on my Bank of America Alaska Airlines Credit Card. These charges were made on September 13th, 2021 to SeatGeek Tickets in the amounts of $1561.56, $1392.30, and $973.60. I reported these charges as fraudulent to Bank of America. I received a letter from BoA dated 10-5-2021 stating that the claim had been resolved in my favor. Next, I received a letter dated 11-2-21 that stated that the merchant had “provided documentation confirming my receipt of the merchandise or service.” This is not possible.

I absolutely dispute that I ever made these purchases. I have no knowledge of them. I neither made these orders nor received anything from this company. So, I sent a letter to BoA requesting a copy of the documentation provided by SeatGeek Tickets. They replied with a letter dated 11-19-21 again stating that the merchant had provided documentation, but they did not provide me with any proof or copy of this documentation. I have hired a lawyer who has sent them a letter requesting the following:

Name and address of the purchaser Address or email address where the tickets were sent Relevant device information relating to the purchase Originating IP address Date and time stamp Device signatures Browser ID Country of origin Mac number

I have been a customer of BoA for decades. I have never made a purchase of thousands of dollar’s worth of tickets to anything. BoA should have flagged the purchases as anomalous, notified me, and backed me up against the criminals as I am their customer.

How it all started was I went online to open a checking account because my boyfriend had wanted me to open an account and get a card so that it would make things easier when I had to stop for gas and such...............I used to be a tow truck driver and I made really good money at it, that is until this all happened.

I continually put money in my account and all of a sudden all of these letters came piling in saying that I was overdrawn, and they had sent the checks back.

What in the world is happening I thought to myself, I tried to call them and they did not even want to talk to me, just blew me off by telling me that I needed to deposit money.

I even sent my deposit book to them..............all to no avail.

I think they should have to pick up all of these checks that are bouncing around out there in my name and I also think that they should have to pay me for my pain and suffering, I am not sure how to go about doing anything but if anyone has a plan, make sure you let me know.

I opened an business advantage account in lake forest at the branch on El Toro rd and the 5. i have had previous accounts with the bank with old information. I specifically said that I wanted to update the profile on file. The address on my account was opened with an old address. I have since corrected the address on file with the bank but my credit score dropped 50 points for no apparent reason (literally no reason listed on credit karma as well as nerdwallet and other credit monitoring services.)

I do not want an old address reported and when I asked the business banker on Bristol in South Coast Plaza, Santa Ana, CA to correct it for me he informed me I would need to contact the credit burues myself for these disputes. I am aware that a consistent address history is important and there are data aggregators that collect and ultimately report to Experian, Equifax and Transunion. This is a problem and I need it addressed as soon as possible.

When I spoke with someone from the Bank of America Small Business Customer Service & Contact the call took an hour and I was hung up on. the call took place at 4 PM on August 9th, 2021 and was abrubtly ended . complaint id 210909cr0044413

On June 16th, 2021, I had someone come into my place of work and steal my entire wallet. I found out on June 17th and filed a police claim with Seattle Police department #2021-910451. I found out that they had withdrawn $8,500 from my account at Bank of America. The withdrawals are as follows:

6/16/21 #000005703 WITHDRWL WESTLAKE PARK LO SEATTLE WA $500

6/16/21 #000005704 WITHDRWL WESTLAKE PARK LO SEATTLE WA $500

6/16/21 WA TLR cash withdrawal from CHK $5000.00

6/16/21 WA TLR cash withdrawal from CHK $2,500.00

The bank that they work at closes at 4 pm whereas I had work and did not leave until 4:30 pm. I work as a phlebotomist and am not able to show the tubes with the time and my initials on it due to HIPAA, but I have a time card showing when I left Northgate.

When I made the claim, I asked why I was never notified. I have no history of withdrawing this amount and this should have been flagged. I was told it was because they used my pin and was questioned extensively about it. I have it memorized, but it is the last four digits of my social security number, which I have since been told is easy to guess or hack into.

On June 25, I was told my claim got denied because they used my pin. Somehow it took 7 business days to realize the same thing we discussed the first day I knew it was stolen. BofA did not follow up by checking any of the cameras at the bank, nor ask me for proof that I was at work during the time of the transactions or any other reasonable measures.

To add insult to injury, BofA issued me the incorrect debit card twice.

I asked to reopen my claim and they denied it again on July 12. I called and they told me it was because they used my pin the first time. They then recommended me to get a subpoena for the bank videos. I asked them why I was supposed to do their job. I didn’t need a video of who withdrew my money as I saw the person who took my wallet (before finding out that it was taken). They told me I was unable to reopen my claim. Frustrated, I waited on the phone for two hours to talk to someone who could actually tell me something useful.

On July 20, I talked to two other people before getting a supervisor who informed me that my claim was filed incorrectly and in the wrong department. There were two $500 withdraws from my debit card, but the remaining $7,500 was through a teller, which apparently was a different department.

August 13 I called again to find that the wrong claim was still listed and a new claim had never been filed!! To reopen it, I had to repeat the same information I have said since the beginning. I was finally asked to send proof that I was at work during the time the transactions were completed. I sent it the same day through a fax.

I have called again today August 23 and they are still saying they are undergoing investigation. I need money to pay the bills. I am working while taking boards to get my medical license and this has been extremely emotionally distressing.

I started an ATM withdrawal but then canceled it because the amount wasn't going to be enough, and the bill denominations weren't available. I was charged by the bank for the $300.00 withdrawal. When I contested it, they DENIED it TWICE! I have been with BofA for decades, yet I am closing all of my accounts tomorrow (worth over $700K) because of this. CRAPPY customer service. I told them they could look at the ATM video and see that I just drove away. In fact within minutes, I did a counter withdrawal from a BofA branch 2 miles up the road (which I pointed out to them btw).

My great grandmother set up a family trust for us back in 1977. It was set for closure and complete distribution to the benificiaries (myself and a couple family members) in 2016. Since 2016, they have denied distribution and wracked up phantom lawer and court fees stating that it was all necessary. From a trust of $1.2 million, they have taken over $700 thousand.

While there is an understanding of some cost, this is absolutely outragous. Considering that they had the contracts and doctuments for this trust for over 30 years there is no reason they would trip over themselves because of "document error" and then charge our trust the fees for their own negligence.

I have in the last year or so been looking into the activities of Bank of America, and it is absolute shade.

Drilling into safety deposit boxes with the reason account information was lost, but it never was.

Stopping automatic payments from customers of their own credit line, so that they can then take the complete sum from the customers account, even though that may mean that individual or family cannot pay rent, bills, or buy food that month.

I am a homemaker, my husband is a disabled veteran. We make ends meet only because my husband volunteers at a local food bank, and it saves us just enough a month on food to make it by. I am posting this today because I am at a complete and total loss.

I recieved in the mail today a citation from the bank stating that if I do not fly myself from southern california to new york to be in court at 9am on the decided day to oppose the final decision, or pay for a lawyer to represent me to do those same things- it is considered that I agree to the banks decisions and it will go unchallanged. I have 28 days to do that.

This trust, my share of it, would allow me and my family to be able to move from our home that is too small for us. It wouldnt be very much, just a couple hundred thousand. To Bank of America that may be small cash, but apperantly its enough that they would prolong closure for 4 years just to find a way for us to be unable to oppose it. The very idea that a bank is stealing from myself and others is just outragous.

I feel that Bank of America has used the Covid-19 travel limits and the national insecurity as a final reason for this sudden and startling development. I was not even contacted via email from my "designated representative" before recieving this notice. I have been completely blindsided. They drug their heels and came up with any and every excuse, placing their faith on me and my families financial position during this time of crisis to be unable to fight this decision.

I am not very legal smart, and in this citation I recieved this morning many of the previous contract sections have been redacted. I know right from wrong, and this is very wrong. There is definately theft from Bank of America to their customers. It needs to be tracked down so that those responsible can be held accountable.

I would be willing to part with every penny of my share if that means making sure this never happens again, to anyone. It would be nice to have it, for myself and my family, but to me it would be an acceptable loss if only that means they are held accountable.

BEWARE OF BANK OF AMERICA THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. THEY HAVE NO "CUSTOMER SERVICE" SINCE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS. My mother is 96 years old. My mother had $120,000 invested with MBNA in CD's. They merged with Bank of America. I went to my local branch in Arbutus on East Drive, where they refused to provide me with any information, and told me I should "forget about it!"

I tried calling the bank's main office, but could not speak with a live person. I called the branch back and requested a corporate number. The assistant manager refused me my request and said the manager would call me the following week. Of course I never heard from either one of them again.

My documents indicate these investments. My mother and I are entitled to all the money she is entitled to, including of course any interest. They are a pitiful excuse of a bank, and after reading my reviews, I hope that others will not have to suffer similar consequences. Tony Raymond Baltimore, MD 410-247-0837 [email protected]

So, my daughter inlaw, decides to get credit in my name, take my checking account for spin, and then goes to jail for abuse, and this is how i found out, what she had done, to my credit and my account. She was prosicuted, in the end. Since August , I have been fighting BOFA, to refund the fraud charges, that clearly were not mine.

I live on 900.00 SSI a month, and my bills are the same monthly. with little to enjoy once bills are paid. So when she was paying her bills out of my account and also using my debit card for sainos online, you can imagine, what this has done to me. I have been very ill, and i have a provider who was handling this, but I see, we have gotten no where.

So I placed a call and calls myself, becasue i had seen they did give a credit but then reversed it. "it isn't enough I got robbed, and now my bank robs me too? I am still fighting it today, I have given them every document they asked for, including all police reports, and conviction papers, nd they denied me?

I have had it and I am going to take this to the highest- as well as write on every media site I can, unless they give me all of my 6000.00 back.

Like so many retirees. My 85 year mother had a bank of American Account to have Social Security checks auto deposited. Just before mother was admitted into hospice treatment, she notarized and granted me power of attorney to look after her little account. My mother passed on November 25th 2019.

On that date her bank account balance was $1,334 based on October & November social security deposits. Bank of America's estate Unit is ripping off my mothers account by $667 by claiming this money was returned to the Social Security Department. However, after requesting a final account closing statement, I’ve uncovered the fact that Bank of American has only returned the December, 2019 Social Security payment after Mom's death.

Bank of American insists that the November balance of $1334 was only $665. The main reason for making this issue public, one can only imagine how many families have or are experiencing this type of criminal treatment on their deceased social security retiree family members who passed with an open balance on their bank accounts. The ripoff could amount to multi-millions if Bank of American is doing the same across the country.

Bank of America keeps trying to steal my home even though I have paid my payment and having banking statements to prove they took the payment from my checking account! They keep trying to get my bankruptcy dismissed by lying to the court that I'm not paying my payments. But I gave my lawyer the past two years of my banking statements and they backed off so far!

But this is what really puts the rage and anger in me. They are making me pay for their attorney fees and court costs! They chose to pay the court costs by lying to the court that I haven't been making my payments! Out of all the money bank of America has! I have to pay their sorry attorney fees!

They stole $21,000 from me in 2013 and didn't apply it to my balance. Then they tried to foreclose on my home but I filed bankruptcy to stop them. But they have been harassing me ever since! Lying to my lawyer! Bank of America as getting in trouble. They pay fines but going back to their dirty evil ways! Bank of America purchased everyone's home loan so they could steal their homes!

Other homeowners say make sure to keep your payment records! They aren't kidding because they are dirty low down scum!

We have proof we were fully paid up in our payments, with the help of Senator Carper office we still lost our home. This was a Va loan.We can prove that BOA went to court claiming to be the owner when the notice we got was that the Va owned the house.

We brought the house with Countrywide. in 2012,We got notice that Boa had taken over the loan, OK. We sent our payments to Boa. In 2014 we requested a modification and was approved.BUT, we had to have a trial period. We made every payment. It took 8 months.

they sent us email saying congradulations ,you are approved. But the payments were $300.00 more. We were like , no way. we cannot afford that.So we decided to continue the payments we were making. Because we would not sign the final papers.

It was sent in as if we did. In our investigation we found out that they use our excrow to pay 3 different insurance companies, plus the one that we had,(that was never in default.) We had BOA employees come to our home claiming to be the Veterans Adminstration.

It was a rush for us to sign those papers. We would not.Every BOA across the country would call saying we had sign the papers. when we would tell them what was going on. It would pass to another BOA. In going to Senator Carpers office. We was told we can help.after almost a year, we know we were in trouble when their rep(MS Wescott) was hiding in her office,so she would not have to deal with us.I confronted her and she claimed that she was sorry.

(Beause I could prove that I saw her) After all the proof we had, even a tape with a BOA employee stating that we had fell in the cracks. (they said they were recording us,so we started to record them) Senator Carper office did nothing ,But work with BOA.

They want you to vote for them , but when needed, you are on your own. so yes in court. we lost our home. We had no idea that in court they used our Countrywide title papers. Put BOA on the letterhead as if we got the house from them.(to stupid to change the date) They got the idea from American Greed.(a tv program) A young man had did it to them claiming that he had money in their bank changing the letter head. It was a scam.

It worked until they got caught. So BOA picked up the idea, and passed it to their customers. This is a nightmare.. There was a time BOA was a great Bank. (I know, had a account with them in the 80s) Now they are a power house of greed. not all employees. Because I have dealt with some very kind employees.

Is it not illegal to claim that you are a federal employee for profit. My husband is a veteran and should not had to deal with this kind of greed from his country, YES , we need help. We walk by faith, not by sight

I'm writing this for my 80-year-old father-in-law (Raymond Jensen)

On September,22nd my sister-in-law passed away. It was very hard on Raymond as he and Tammy were very close. she made him the successor trustee upon her death.

Raymond has been forthcoming with all the information asked of him, he has sent all documents to Bank of America twice. The first time was a month and a half ago .( I know because I sent it with a tracking #, and it got there when the post office said it would.

Raymond is still waiting for that money!!

He just got a letter in the mail today stating that there would be more steps to take. I called the number on that paper to speak with the case manager. but Lillian wasn't in.

The guy on the phone said he would help me and proceeded to look up the case number. He then told me Tammy didn't have anything in an account, that she had a credit card but canceled it a long time ago. Well, you can imagine just how mad my father in law is and If they think we will just go away without a real investigation into this matter I got news for them. Yes, NEWS I will plaster it all over any news I can get to listen.

I sincerely hope this is just one big mistake and the idiot that I spoke with had no clue as to what he was talking about

This has been going on long enough and Raymond could really use that money right now.

On October 5, 2019, I went into my local branch with a check over $5,000 payable to me from a well-known, well-established bank. I specifically asked about funds availability as my husband and I have a hard October 15 deadline to make a payment. I would have taken that check anywhere else if I had been told about a NINE day hold on ALL funds. The bank associate made a phone call and said the funds would be released the next business day, which was interpreted as Tuesday (October 8).

On that day, the processing payment has turned into hold with ZERO availability until October 17, 2019.

This hold does not follow Regulation CC:

“If the total check deposits into one account on the same business day is over $5000, then $200 must available on the first business day, $600 on the second, $4800 on the 3rd, and the remainder must be available on the 7th business day.”

Regulation CC stipulates four types of holds that a bank may place on a check deposit at its discretion. And yes we understand that each has its own qualifications and it is legal for the bank to place any type where the requirements are met. It is my belief that Bank of America has arbitrarily instructed a type of hold placed that holds the most funds the longest that can be applied legally. Furthermore, I believe in doing, the bank is way outside the scope of this funds availability law and to date has not provided a legitimate reason for holding on to ALL of our check.

There is only one check processing region for the entire United States. Therefore, all checks are now local.

BOA associates will tell me the holds are placed "for security reasons" and "federal law requires (Reg CC) all banks to have holds: but again no specifics are given.

I believe this "deposit hold" is a shell for floating our money by using it investing in short term investments.

My husband and I have spoken to several associates on the phone to escalate properly. I finally spoke with marketing manager Dean A. It was such a bad experience that I it threatens this multi year relationship. Mr. A. acknowledged that he was using a loophole in Regulation CC based on speculative, rather that actual information, that the check I endorsed would not be paid. He also was just as confusing as the other associates who read the same script without any accountability or problem-solving authority.

The issuing bank had this to say:

"We do not place a hold. Your bank would have placed an hold on the funds. This is usually done for various reasons.

You should contact your financial institution as to the reason or reasons they placed an hold on the funds."

We are owed an explanation of why we cannot have any access to our funds, not what could happen under endless scenarios:

None of the so-called NSF exceptions apply, neither for the amounts or the length of time.

The depository bank has NO reason to doubt the check is good. (The paying bank already indicated the check funds were cleared.

The check was not postdated or stale dated and was NOT previously returned.

The manager (Mr. A) who refused to release the funds said: "We're saying we are potentially worried so we are going to review it for you No one in Bank of America is going to know the reason it's based on regulatory cc: we have to put it not in one component but under an umbrella. That means any of them are going to fit under one umbrella."

Large banks are using power and bureaucracy to violate consumer protections and hold account holder deposits hostage. Many of these banks have already been caught stealing from customers by assessed extended overdrawn balance charges that violate the National Bank Act’s usury limit. Now we have a growing new assault: the absolute, multi-day deposit hold on consumer check deposits.

Hiding behind imagined conspiracies and fraud, my own bank has delayed a legitimate lump sum payment check. For a bank that processes the accounts of millionaires, it seems egregious that a major retirement fund would be flagged for fraud.

I have banked here off and on since 1996. My husband has banked here since 2001. We cannot believe we are being treated this way. We need those funds to pay taxes and other bills and now the interest is piling up, and we were persuaded to open an account with a 10,000 minimum and now we have going to have penalties from that! The right thing to do would be to release our money at least under the rubric of Regulation CC.

Becket.com charged an expired card to keep my subscription going after I canceled it 5 times. I had a screen shot of the expired card and the months I canceled and BOA made this statement.. EVEN tho they charged an expired card by searching for expiration dates that would make it charge...

We cannot intervene in situations involving a merchant's return, refund, or cancellation policy.

As a consumer, you're offered a certain level of protection against business practices from

merchants that accept credit cards as a means of payment. Merchants may operate their

businesses independently and set return and refund policies that best suit their business needs.

Consumers have the opportunity to inquire about the merchant's refund policy before making a

purchase, to ensure that it will offer them the flexibility they need.

Thanks BOA for letting a company charge my card that was expired for an account I canceled. They just lost a 25 year customer and I am closing all my business accounts with them...Totals of over 5-15k per month I used and paid them on time every time for 25 years... Have a nice day , going with a company that will not allow fraudulent charges on an expired card..

Stay away from Bank of America

HELP ME: Bank of America is holding my money hostage!!!!

I deposited an insurance check for $2600 on May 3rd at the Media, Pa Bank of America. I was assured the funds would be available on Wednesday May 8th. My son had been saving for nearly twelve months to buy himself a car. I told him if he saved half I would give him the other half.

On Friday May 3rd we went and looked at a car and he fell in love with. That very day I recieved the check for $2,600 from my insurance company. My son made arrangements to pick the car up the following Friday, TODAY. On Wednesday May 8th I went to check my balance in my account and make sure everything is squared away for picking the car up on Friday morning.

At this time I was told my funds had a 15 business day hold on it!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS. I said what in the world would cause a 15-day Hold On a check written from an insurance company. I explained to the bank officials I was purchasing a car for my son and we were picking up the car on Friday morning. I demanded they clear my funds before Friday.

I didn't know or care what or why this happened. I just needed them to release those funds by Friday. I spoke to manager after manager after manager and everybody's going to check into it and get back to me by 4pm today. NOT 1 SINGLE MANAGER called me.

Fortunately the gentleman we are purchasing the car from said he would hold the car BUT he would only hold it till Monday night. BANK OF AMERICA RELEASE MY MONEY!!!!!! DO THE RIGHT THING AND FIX YOUR MISTAKE!!!!!! Can anyone make any suggestions on how I can get my money Monday morning???

I tried to cancel an overpriced membership at Lifetime fitness in person, but they told me that they didn't have anyone that could do that at the time even though it was 8 in the morning. I sent a certified letter to cancel the account, but just got a notice of the gym trying to charge me again.

I called Bank of America via the website number and got a Patrick in Tennessee. He was very rude, over talked me, and just kept reading from a script every time I asked him a question. I told him to get me a supervisor which he did.

Her name was Brianne, but just like Patrick, she refused to give me an operator number or anyway to identify them other than their first names. Makes it hard to make someone accountable when all you have is a first name huh?

Brianne proceeded to tell me that they WOULD NOT stop the payment and would only dispute it after it went through!!!!! What is the purpose of getting notified about a fraudulant pending payment if your bank won't stop it from going through!

I even suggested just canceling the credit card all together which they refused to do as well. For such a huge bank they're the worst I've ever done business with! Don't expect any help stopping any payments that shouldn't go through because they WILL NOT help you.

BANK OF AMERICA WARNING! I got a settlement check from my lawyer, and he wrote a check to me on his BOA account. It has been several days since release.

Last night he called the bank, and they verified that the check had CLEARED, yet they CONTINUE to HOLD FUNDS PER THEIR POLICY.

Chase bank VERIFIED that they are the ONLY BANK to not communicate and RELEASE FUNDS after checks have cleared.

I ATTEMPTED to contact them but as I was not an ACCOUNT HOLDER

I could not get past their COMPUERIZED SYSTEM to speak to a HUMAN.

By HOLDING FUNDS and NOT RELEASING THEM after funds have CLEARED, they have caused myself and my DISABLED WIFE, UNDUE PAIN AND SUFFERING.

CONTACT ME if you or someone you know has had this situation. I am going to the MEDIA, along with my DISABLED WIFE to expose this SCAM. we will be attempting to file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT for this DEVIOUS MATTER.

I was informed by CHASE bank that they are the ONLY bank that does not COMMUNIATE OR RELEASE FUNDS after the check clears.

My lawyer contacted them last night, and they informed them that the FUNDS CLEARED! They are just holding funds because they DONT CARE.

This will be posted ALL OVER social media, and sent to local news outlets.

THANK YOU very much, BOA

I have payroll and SSI deposited into my account. Well when you make a purchase online it goes as credit. Well the purchase was for 350$. I live in a hotel. So it was taken out of my account at one point. Well the following week when I was paid I paid another $350. The first one apparently bounced back to my account. Then a couple days later another $350 was taken out of my account. This now made my account negative. So I decided to take a 400$ loan from a lending a source, so I wouldn't stay in the negative and get hit by BOA overdraft fees. After doing this. They closed my account. They say they don't have to have a reason. Well. They are still sending me emails stating my cash back deals are almost expired. I had direct deposit of 154$ in my account on November 1st. I found out it was closed when I went to buy a coffee. I called them and they are now telling me, my account will not be final closed until December 10, 2018?! So, I have to wait a month for my money?! Weird. It's no wonder that they had a class action lawsuit. They are criminals in plain sight.

Bank of America makes it almost impossible to get through to them when you have a problem. Everytime you call they have some pre recorded excuse that all of thier customer service agents are busy no matter what time of day you call. Then after you wait for 30 to 60 mins on hold they will find some way to transfer you, hang up on you , or just won't help you. They are so bad that if you send a check through their banking system they will pull the money out of your account before the check has cashed. So if your check is never cashed Bank of America keeps your money and never informs you.

All I can say is stay away from Bank of America like the plague

After many letters to the CEO and others at BOA in Charlotte, NC, BOA appears to have a major problem understanding my written communication concerning several incidents at their Washington St Branch Office in Houston, Texas. I have only received two letters from them which failed to state the facts as I have reported them in my many letters. As of this date, BOA has refused to achknowledge my authority for my request to produce checks from our HOA account: even after producuing a signed document form the President of my HOA. When you add to my complaints that the totally rude, arrogant and calus attitude by employees and management of that BOA Branch Bank along with them purposely destroying my information that I left with them to use is unforgivable at best. Extremely poor management skills at BOA.

BOA , as I can see from another report here same company as the other report sided with the merchant in collecting illegal charges on my credit card. The skin cream company named, ( 2 names) Violet Rise Skin Cream and Waylight Skin Care sent me an email with an Amazon background logo. I had assumed they were with Amazon as a vendor. I was wrong. They offered skin cream called Biosilk age defying cream, just pay 4.95 shipping 14 days free trial. When i buy anything on the internet I use my Amex cc. For security reasons. Amex to me is the best but this company would not except Amex. So after i filled all the info to purchase I backed out of the screen and I figured that was that. No It Wasn't! 5 minutes after I left the screen I get a phone call from the representative of the cream company asking me if I was still interested in purchasing the cream. Unfortunately I said yes and gave him my Visa card #. I found out later that the phone number was undisclosed and didn't match the 866 # on the charges. The representative did not disclose the terms of conditions or ask my age. He took my cc # and double charged me for 2 products when I was only interested in one. They said they would send me an email with their info they never did ( how convenient).

I began receiving shipments that came in an undisclosed box no contact info no way to call the Co. to cancel the order. They shipped me 6 times and I returned all the boxes retun to sender. Two of the boxes I sent back through the post office. Apparently they only received back one box and the rest were lost by the post office. Hard to believe! So when i received the box with contact info for the Company i called them angry that they didn't send me contact info so I could cancel....As with the other previously reported complaint same Co. I'm sure. They said they were sorry and would credit my card for last shipped and discontinue shipping that never happened! Bank of America sided with the merchant first they credited my account then they uncredited my account. Amazing they sent me 3 letters with copies from the merchant explaining the reason I should still be charged. Amazing that BOA would do this to me. This was the very first time I used the card. How convenient for them.

I believe that BOA sold or gave my email address to these crooks knowingly and both BOA and the merchant are involved in a scheme to steal. BOA benefits from the interest and fee and the merchant from selling me the product at an inflated 300 percent compared to market price anywhere else. Plus they double charged my card and only sent me one item knowing full well that BOA wouldn't contest the charges.

Being a long-time customer with Bank of America, i would expect that they would honor my credit card disputes with disreputable companies, but they do not.

I reserved a rental car from Fox Rentals (through CarRentals.com) and right as i pushed Submit, i saw that the driver's name had to match the name on the credit card. Since i was reserving for my son-in-law, the names did not match, SO THE RESERVATION SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE THROUGH. I immediately contacted both Fox Rentals (who claimed no authority) and then Car Rentals, but they charged my card anyway, even though i canceled by email several times.

The other dispute was for a skin cream sample ($4.95) where the company said they would email me approval for auto renewal within 14 days. No email, but an $89 charge to my account, followed by another shipment and another $89 charge. I returned the skin cream, but the company did not refund the charges even though their Terms and Conditions state that "If EVER you are not satified with our products, just call and request a refund."

I am very disappointed in a bank that i have done business with for many decades and will be moving my funds to another more supportive bank that actually lets you response to their online messages to you and supports their own customers.

Shameful customer service.

After 40 years of a PERFECT BANKING RECORD with Bank of America, I made a complaint against a cruel, & bullying Bank Manager who has many, amny complaints against his violent banking decisions, yet, my 40 year history of aquiring contacts Internationally.......I was sent a letter of closing my account in 30 days, with no mercy, no explanation, and pleading to not close my accounts. I was given many stories on the phone, but the swift cruelty of my demise and the destruction of my business & personal accounts being closed as a "RISK".....was more than I could take.

The bank is standing with this PETER GABRA in Torrance California, who turned down my 19 year old sons new bank account, & did this obscene behavior in the presence of many people at the main Del Amo branch, by tearing my sons new account paperwork, that took over an hour to fill out, and even more preparation by sending us to the DMV for identification of my son, only to destroy everything in such a bully manor. This same manager, Peter Gabra, saw my public posts of this behavior, and made a great effort to approach me with every teller, then whispering in their ears right in front of me, so the tellers would not work with me whatsoever. THis manager is a bully, and a cruel, ruthless manager who has a god complex.

He always has a smug expression, and does what he can to upset you. I have never been treated b y anyone in the business community in my 40 years as a professional businessman. There is no speaking to anyone. I have read so many complaints against this same man. I have business contacts all over the world, that pay royalties to me for selling records, so I need time to find and contact these people with payments. In the meantime, Bank of America refuses to help me, in anyway, and ruthlessly has everyone on telephones to blow me off. They never did this to me when I had lucrative business accounts since 1981, with my record label. This continued with my record business.

They made money on my bank balances, yet paid nothing in interest to me. Now, they are finished with me, after one arguement by telephone in October 19, 2017. My accounts all close in January 16, 2018. It gives me no time to transfer to another bank. Bank of America is also doing other activity to hurt me. I am hoping to find an attoney for a class action suit. I am being told what other legal legs I have to stand on to report BOA to Bureau of consumer protection, and other Governmental protection agaencies against these Fraudulent banks. This is truly the sneakiest bank I have ever heard of, that came out of nowhere. This is all new, bullying customers. Shame on BOA.

I will try not to ramble on but going to try to explain the best I can. It all started when a man came to my door with a very big packet of paperwork stating I was several months behind in my mortgage from Bank of America. Well, of course I told him he had the wrong address because my loan was with Taylor Bean and Whitaker. He informed me I was wrong and I was facing foreclosure from BOA? I took the paperwork and immediately called BOA to figure it out. I was told I was 4600.00 behind in my payments which was about 6 months. So I sent them the information that I HAD been making my payments to TBW with no notice of their bankruptcy. So...my money was being held due to the TBW bankruptcy so when BOA took over the loan I was 6 months behind? I was told I had to come up with the 4600.00 or they were going to have to foreclose on my home! In the process of coming up with the money I had already paid to TBW the sheriff shows up with foreclosure papers! I was mortified to say the least! I had to borrow the money from my 70 year old parents! After months of trying to save my home I started recieving all of my money back every few months from TBW? So... To make a long story short Bank of America ruined my credit showing me being 90 days past due? All I asked them to do is remove it from my credit report and they refused. I talked to another lady that had to file bankruptcy over this. Beware of Bank of America!

  • Nov 30, 2017

I deposited a check drawn on a local bank. The check was paid by the other parties account the same

night it was deposited. I have copies showing it was paid. A few days after the check was already paid

Bank Of America debited my account for the amount of the check AFTER business hours leaving my

account negative nearly $500.00.

I am assuming they did this sleazy tactic in order to rack up a bunch of over-draft fees by leaving me with

an over-drawn account. I had to drive to the ATM around 10:00 P:M and deposited enough cash to bring

the account current so they could not hit me with a bunch of over-draft fees at $35.00 each!

I went on Facebook and used my 1st amendment right and told them exactly what I thought

of the way they do business. Apparently Bank Of America DOESN'T LIKE CRTICISM!

2 days later, I go to check my account online and find it no longer exists.

I call Bank Of America and speak to several people, no one knows what is going on with my account

which is typical at this bank.

Later, I went to the ATM and tried my debit card to see if it worked, it no longer works.

So in essence because I voiced my DISGUST PUBLICLY with this bank and their unfair

practices they closed my account and have essentially stolen my money!

In addition, they charged me a monthly service fee of $25.00 just a couple days prior to them closing my account.

I never told them to close this account.

They have done this to me NUMEROUS times in the past when I deposit a check. AFTER they have already

been paid by the other parties bank they then confiscate the money from my account leaving me over-drawn

and depriving me the use of my own money.

When I call I am told, I can have my money in about 10 days or so.

I am going to file a complaint with the Federal Reserve, The States Attorney's Office, and consult my attorney

about a class action lawsuit against this bank.

  • Nov 10, 2017

In order to understand what happened and why I am writing this report I must give a little information on what leads upto to this event. I recently was wronged very badly in my business which left me literally with nothing. I been trying to bounce back since 10/25/17. One the 1st of this month 11/1/17 I had to move out of current residents. I have been living in my car living on peanuts awaiting the check for my security deposit to get back up. I've been working but the new job will be 2 weeks till I receive that pay.

Finally on 11/6 at 7 p.m. I received my check. It was like weight of the world came off me and things would get better. I have a bank account with Bank of America and the check was a chase check. I do all my banking with Bank of America because that's "my bank". So since the bank was now closed I called into boa for guidance since this piticuler time was so very important. I am a single father and a friend was watching my 4yr old daughter till I got a place.

I got the day care to let me owe a week. I managed everything to my last cent and so on. So after reaching a representative at boa and explaining my situation I asked what should I do. It's not a Bank of America check and I only have $20 left in my account? I can't be held up this situation is dier and I must get the ball rolling. The advice from the boa rep on the was don't go into the bank like normal to cash or deposit your check because there is a chance it can get held for 3 days.

I told oh no I need this asap 3 days wait can't happen. The boa rep then said deposit the check into the ATM you will have $200 available immediately and the remaining funds will be available within 24 hours. That sounds purfect I only needed a little cash everything else I need in the account to pay things. So I went to sleep got up at 6a.m. For work and headed to the boa on federal highway by Spanish river. I deposited my check the checked my account. Zero available and then I look at my receipt it says hold until 11/16 mind you it's 11/7.

My heart dropped I fell to my knees. I waited at the door of the bank till 9a.m when they opened. I went up the chain at the bank where I was told basically absolutely nothing can be done and I would get the funds on 11/16. Since then I've spent countless hours on the phone trying reach someone higher up at boa that can help. I eventually always get hung up on. I went to a few different boa locations and nothing. I would understand this completely and I would say I made if I had not called in and asked my bank what I should do.

Never was anything remotely like this mentioned. I was not ok with a 3 day hold let alone 8 days. I'm in a situation where using my bank and following the advice they gave me literally has left me homeless and what not for another week! I could of went to a coner store payed 1% and had the funds instantly! But I'm watching every penny so close because I'm getting back or was getting back on my feet. I know someone at boa can help me and should. They made this mistake I followed what they instructed me to do. Not only have I been ripped off no one will let you speak to an actual higher up in the company because they no it's wrong!

In June 23, 2016, Ms. Wilburn gave an inaccuracy review on my claim and my claim #160313001311 has not been resolved and I would need to write a letter to fraud unit Again to reopen my case because I already had done that and Bank of America refused to return the money to me because they did not respond to my attachment in reply on may 17, 2017.

  • Oct 4, 2017

I had a balance of $483.00, the last time I viewed my balance via my BofA app. Then, today, my balance is zero. it stated that my account is zero because i owned fees. I asked for what via phone, and I got no reply exist, they do not want my business anylonger. No refund, or letter stating what exidence they had. Just took my money, and closed my account.

What can I do to get my money back?!

  • Sep 29, 2017

Bank of America has closed all my accounts with no explanation. They have stolen my money and put it on hold telling me that I can't have my money until the accounts are closed. I will receive a check for the money that is left over after they deduct fees, expenses, whatever money they would like then I can have what is left over. They are theifs.

Bank of America I opened a savings and checking account online with Bank of America. All going well until after about 4 months there was a mishap and I overdrew my account a couple of times. Next thing I new I tried to sign in online and my account was locked. I tried using my debit card and it was declined by issuer. I was on the phone over four hours with bank of america being transferred over and over and being hung up on time and time again. Finally the only information I was given is that my accounts were in the account closure department due to fraudulant activity. All my money was on hold I was not allowed to get anymore even after pleading. I asked them to refund fees that they had charged to my account they refused. They said after the accounts were closed any fees would be deducted from my money and they would be sending me a check for whatever was left over. No explanation, no help, terrible customer service, This bank has stolen my money. I even threatened them with the Attorney General. Afterwards I decided to do a little checking. I was astonished at the complaints, ripoffs, money stolen, the lawsuit against them for fraudulant fees charged, on and on. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO EVER BANK WITH. PLEASE BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BANK WITH BANK OF AMERICA YOU NEED TO GOOGLE THEIR COMPLAINTS, THE UNDERHANDED PROCEDURES, ETC. OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED ALSO. Nationwide

When I would receive a check from a person with a Bank of America account, the Bank of America teller is charging an $8 fee for each check. They used to charge a $5 fee from business accounts only but now it's $8 for all accounts. If somebody pays me $20 for something and I go to the bank to get my money I only get $12. It's their own customer that they are servicing by cashing these checks.

I opened an account online through Bank of America 3 days ago because i am moving and i don't have a nation wide bank aside from USAA. I hadn't heard anything from them containing my account number so i called to find out what was going on. They told me my account was at risk of closure and said they closed it yesterday and their reasoning was they have the right to close any account at any time. I told her i havent even used it yet, there was supposed to be a transfer from my other bank for $250( the max limit they put for opening the account online. ) she couldnt provide me any reasoning aside from they are allowed to do it. I have a great credit score, nothing in collections, never had a late payment, i have never had anything like this happen to me ever. I asked her if that meant i was never allowed to have an account with them and she said unfortunately no you can never bank with BOA. So for no reason, i can never have a BOA account, ever. I guess ill just take my business elsewhere then...
