To all online customers out there. Be careful if you go to staples.com and place an order at their One Hour PickUp Product. If they do not have it, even if the order is cancel by them; Bank of America will still charged your card. It happened to me two days ago and I am still waiting for the credit.

As if this financial monster ,the size of a small city, doesn't have enough money already, They will start 8/15 charging to cash a check drawn on the bank $8 Fee yes eight dollars to get money owed to you!

I have contractors, friends and family that I write checks to. These people will not tolerate this nor afford this.

This will cause my fees from contractors to increae.

What a RipOff. This is the last straw.

I am changing banks for sure.

I had a bank of america credit card for four years and recently they started charging me 1.5$ every month for keeping my balance at zero.

Filed a claim with Bank of America, they were suppose to investigate the claim. Instead they waiting over 45 days and sent a letter in the mail that my claim was denied due to company time period. My claim was filed 1 day after the fraudulent purchase. They refuse to talk to me and discuss the claim, I've been a banker with them for 15 years. Needless to say I will be cutting ties with this bank

To begin with I received a cashiers check which was to be used for work I was going to do. To be on the safe side I took the check to my Fort Worth, TX BofA branch to have them to VERIFY the check as GOOD or BAD. When I presented the check to the Branch Manager I was told in NO uncertain terms "We do not verify checks We do not have the ability to do so" If you want the check verified then "DO IT YOURSELF ". I had NEVER heard such a thing A Bank that could not verify a check Bank to Bank . WHAT AN ABSURD NOTION.

Anyway I contacted the issuing bank Navy Federal Credit Union( NFCU )and requested they verify the cashiers check but they would only verify the account was a good account but would not verify the check was good " Because they did not want to compromise their customers confidentiality ". I then ask their reprensentive if they felt the check would clear and they said " They believed it SHOULD ". Feeling that there shouldn't be any problems with depositing the check I took the check to BofA branch and deposited the check in my account. After which I was told there was a hold placed on the deposit and it would take five days before the check would be credited to my account.

The very next morning BofA contacted NFCU to verify the check and was told the check was FRAUD and they immediately froze my account ( but they had originally told me that they did not have the ability to verify checks ). So if that were the case then how could they have verified this check? Anyway to find out why my account was frozen I was told I had to contact the corporate Fraud department which I did and was told what had happened and why my account was frozen. They said to resolve this matter I needed to get a letter from NFCU stating that I had contacted them for verification of the check.

I did so and after MUCH EFFORT on my part I got NFCU to agree to issue the letter of verification but was told the letter would take 7 to 10 business days plus mail time. After receiving the letter I took the letter to my BofA branch so they could transmit the letter to the Fraud department but they refused. So I again contacted the BofA Fraud department and was told they would not need the NFCU letter it would not make any difference as faras they were concerned. SO after ALL the days of EFFORT it took me to get the NFCU letter at BofA’s request NOW they did not want the letter. They were going through with closing my account and reporting me to CHEX Systems.

BofA is not honoring their commitment and is NOW accusing me of being part of the FRAUD and that I was trying to defraud the bank by depositing the cashiers check. By them reporting me to CHEX systems I can not open another bank checking account for five years unless BofA removes their entry about me. The FRAUD department now wants me to file a police report against the group that forged the cashiers check. Then send them a copy of the police report and another letter ask they retract their statements and open a new checking account and they will CONSIDER doing so. What's to say they won't do like they did with NFCU letter and refuse these documents after I have spent ALOT of time and money getting them.

PLEASE help me RESOLVE this MISJUSTICE.

Had Equity Line with BofA for many years and when I had tried to refinance the line, I was told that they wanted the first mortage in the loan whic I declined.

I had found another bank that will refinance the Equity line and signed the paperwork and was told on the 18th that a check was wired to BofA.

BofA chose to not cash the check stating that they were want to redo the loan but had not contacted me at all regarding the loan. It is now June 1st and the loan with BofA still has not been paid off and now attempted to debit the money from the account as payment for the line.

BofA is refusing to accept that the loan is refinanced and now making it that the current bank I have had to reissue the wire of funds.

This is so wrong and BofA is now trying to collect funds on a loan that is paid off.

We opened an account with Bank of America for my daughter's 18-year birthday. However, due to no transaction on the account for the first 9 months, Bank of America declared the account inactive and an "unclaimed property". The bank would earn interest on this "unclaimed property", but the account was frozen from customer. That is taking money away, both principal and interest, from customers. The bank claimed a letter was sent alerting the inactivities, but we never received the letter. To take an account away from a customer as "unclaimed property" is a shocking action by the bank, how can they do it so easily?

This can not be an isolated event, since it was originated from BOA internal policies. If many customers suffer from the same lost due to illegal confiscation of accounts by BOA, and suffer from its potential danger, customers should for a class to get

I have been with Bank of America since 2012 and I have had no problems other than minor unauthorized charges that were quickly reimbursed. However on March of 2017 I noticed some international charges on my account so I contacted the bank and proceeded to tell them about the charges the bank went over all of the international charges that were on my account during the previous 2 1/2 months and the total come to almost $3000 . I was given information from the representative that said I would receive a provisional credit within 1 to 2 business days and the rest will follow and could take up to 21 days but normally only a few days.

However I have yet To receive one penny of my money and my account was completely closed and I was told that I can never bank with Bank of America again as long as I live and my account was turned over to the risk department and they said they were going to investigate my case and they would have a response within one to two business days OK. It has now been four weeks and I have been told that my money was approved and they did rule in my favor and a cashiers check would be sent to my residence on file by Friday that was 4 Fridays ago and I get have received a single dollar I need my money and I need some help getting my money without having to hire a lawyer I mean come on this is my money here they're playing games with collecting interest on it and holding it just goes they can this is not right and I would not recommend anyone to bank with Bank of America please spread this on your social networking and any other means of advertisement that anyone may have to prevent Bank of America and any other bank from being able to do these types of things with monies that does not belong to them

Bank of America is scamming its consumers out of benefits advertised and specified in their terms and conditions. Applied for a Credit Card with BofA to receive the reduced cost Companion Fare on Alaska Airlines March 15, 2016. Receive a Voucher that stated to expired April 16, 2017 (12 months later) (annual $75 fee) Went in in March to verify when it expired and marked my calendar to ensure I bought the tickets I needed. Came back weeks before the expiration date and the vouchers were missing from my account.

Called Alaska Air, they said the Voucher had expired. I was bummed out, but then when I asked when I would receive my next voucher, as it is advertised it should be received on my "Account Anniversary" and was told to call Bank of America, as they would be issuing it.Called BofA and the told me that indeed although I did not receive the voucher until nearly a month after I opened my account, it had been issued March 16 and had expired.

I asked about the new Voucher and they said it was issued on March 20 and it would take a billing cycle to show up in my account.

My complaint -

1. I work at an online store and understand the way Vouchers work. If they can remove a voucher on a targeted date, they can issue one on a targeted date. What is the reason for the delay in delivery? I believe it is to save the company money on having to honor the benefit that is advertised.

2. This delay in delivery ensures that the consumer cannot use that voucher for one full month each year. The representatives I have spoken to have stated that the voucher has already been issued to me however, I do not have access to it until after my next billing cycle. Meaning it will expire March 16 however it will not be usable until April 16. If they really wanted to honor this voucher they could easily give me the voucher code via email or over the phone.

3. The advertisement both with Alaska Airlines as well as Bank of America clearly states that "you will receive a new voucher each year on your account anniversary date", however, the terms and conditions state that they have "1-2 billing cycles" to provide the vouchers to the customers Alaska Airlines account. The terms also state that the voucher will be "good for 12 months". If BofA the had the intention to make good on either of their agreements stated in their advertisement or in their terms and conditions they would, but they are not offering the customer any corrections and have explained to me that their process prescribes a violation to the terms and conditions of "making the voucher available to the customer for 12 months".

I have raised this concern with the representative at Bank of America, escalating this up to the Management level. I have been told my complaint would be "noted". I did let them know that I would be making a complaint to the available consumer protection agencies and I plan to file with all of the agencies that are associated with false advertisements related to consumer financial products. I realize that these policies are likely above the manager level pay grade but I wanted to give them every opportunity to make an offer to fix this issue.

I believe that this is a deceptive business practice resulting in reducing the amount of time the bank and the airline would have to honor their advertised agreement and saving the company potentially millions of dollars depending on the number of customers using their product. Think about it, they offer a benefit to the consumer in exchange for paying an annual fee to use their card, but then they create a process that is designed to remove 8-16% of the risk of paying out a benefit worth between ~$300- $800, times the number of customers using their card per year, netting B of A millions in savings.

In October, I began the process of working with a local mortgage company to refinance my existing adjustable rate mortgage and try to pay off as much as possible an existing Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) I have with B of A. And, I need to point out that the mortgage had originally been with B of A, but they sold it off a few years ago, but kept the HELOC. And, I have been a customer of B of A for about 25 years, and have financed at least 2 other homes with them and currently have both a personal and business checking account as well as 2 credit cards.

As many of you know, I have been self-employed, and have been since 2010, after losing my job in 2008, and finding it hard to find another job in the field of and use planning and land development. However, last year I got back into the field, first in a part time job, with the City of Sherwood, and after that shorter duration job was over I found a full time job with a local consulting firm, where I have been working since last October. But, I am still selling the hazelnut shells, to 43 retail garden centers, as well as at weekend farmers markets, and squirrel food to whomever will buy it.

When I applied for the loan I soon discovered that the lender would not allow any of my self-employment income to count, as they said I would have to work the full time job for at least 2 years before they would be able to see if I was able to work both jobs. And, as anyone who is self-employed knows, there are a lot of write-offs one can take against income to determine the taxable amount. So, by not allowing my self-employment income, they also wouldn’t consider any of the write-offs to count against my expenses, such as a certain percentage of household expenses.

So, what the lender was able to come up with was a fixed rate loan that would pay off all of the mortgage, pay off all of our debts, such as car loans, credit card balances and even what I will need to pay the IRS next month, and the balance of the loan would go towards paying off a very big chunk of the HELOC.

When the lender went to B of A to request approval of subordination, they at first thought I wanted to borrow more against the HELOC rather than pay off a big chuck. After that was straightened B of A looked over my current balance and told the lender they couldn’t process because my loan payment was past due. The payment was due on the 10th and I have 10 days to pay it before I have late fees charged, so every month I pay it off on the 14th or 15th depending on how the days fall. And, their “past due” statement was made last Monday the 13th. When I heard this I immediately tried to change the payment to post sooner, but by this time B of A had blocked my account, so I wasn’t able to do it on-line. So, I called B of A, and after 3 tries got someone to make a payment which they said would post within 12-18 hours, and gave me a confirmation number. Twenty four hours later, the payment had still not posted, so B of A would still not process the request for subordination. So, I went to a B of A branch, as everyone I talked to at the B of A Customer Service number told me there was no way to get it to post before midnight on Wednesday, the 15th. Oh, and Wednesday was the last day of my rate lock and appraisal. The bank manager made the transaction and got a receipt. However, it didn’t post until midnight either, so I ended up making 2 payments and neither was made in time.

But, as it turned out, it wouldn’t have mattered, as even after B of A saw that I was no longer “past due”, they told the lender that they were not going to allow any payments to be made other than the first mortgage and their HELOC. When they made the decision to not allow the loan to pay off any of the other debt it resulted in our Combined Loan to Value (CLTV) and Debt to Income (DTI) to be too high for us to qualify for the refinancing. And, this is an income that as I previously mentioned does not include income from my business nor Sharie’s part time job, as she hasn’t been there for 2 years.

So, rather than B of A getting approximately $125,000, they get nothing but what I will pay them over the next 15 years. They did. However, suggest to the lender that I should contact their Customer Service department and ask to re-amortize the loan so perhaps I could pay it off over 30 years.

Yesterday I email the VP, Service Team Manager-Subordination at B of A who informed my lender of the bank’s decision and asked her to reconsider, based on some of what I mentioned above. Today, I got a call back telling me they were not going to change their decision.

Starting as soon as possible I am going to drop all of my B of A accounts, and try to find a way to pay the HELOC off so I can wash my hands of this bank. I am sure they must feel that it is in their, and their stock holder’s best interest to not have me pay them $125,000 now but continue to pay them another 15-30 years. There are other options, but since I have a credit score of over 800 I would like to keep it that high. But, to tell you the truth, I wonder what good having a score that high has been for me.

2002 when I bought no credit report was done. My credit report with Chase was not reported and bank of America did not report to credit until 2010 I was transferred to Seterus in 2013, but Seterus put on my credit 2002 and I just report to make payments to them. I have proof they took my funds cashed it, while this fraud was going on and the three credit reports would not give me my report. Just got complete report from experian after 14 years had to write to better business to get report only experian gave a report. So this is the method the bank are using to steal houses how clever. Evergreen Park BOA, Seterus nation wide.

I just explain that when the bank do not report your mortgage payment to the credit bureau this is a fraudulent method of proofing this person did not pay on there mortgage. I bought a foreclose homes and i later founded out the banks have put two people out before me I lived there 14 years and my balance on the principle never went down I made extra payments to the bank. When they sold me the house it was a fradulent sale. The people did not receive counseling or have a chance to deem the house. But half a years is a very quick time to put a down payment on the house and be out in less than a year. Alicia Wells did not know what happen.

I bought and had a nice down payment to put on my house that I thought I would like in until I die.

Bank one was my first bank convencial loan 5.75 per cent. put $10,000.00 down. Then after one year Chase the bank that just foreclose on Alicia said they bought my loan and my $1,100 a month payment. With to $1,200 a mont

In the year of 2004 I was told my new mortgage payment would be $1,300 a month I ask why they told me because we bought the mortgage so this is your new price to pay. Chase did not put my payment on my credit report and did not chance a penny off of my principle. I thought if you pay a little extra on the principle it was supposed to be applied. Chase was paid in full I have the lettter 2005 no Credit Report for receiving $122,000.00 from me.

Next I refin- with Bank of America and they told me my credit was good I did not have to pay PMI or Escrow account anymore. but I did not know that Bank of America they were not going to report my credit history of mortgage payments by agent was Christy Stuckey from downtown Chicago branch. My mortgagr was $716.05 a month. Where I would add extra money, I got a phone call July 2012 I was told veribally Bank of

America plan to take your house, I asked why, because we can. They made an extra payment on my taxes that year when I had just applied for an appeal and had my taxes lower from $2,500 second installment to $1,900.

I was later told by bank of America I did not pay my taxes, when I had receipt of payments. Now they started reporting me to the credit bureau.

Seterus told me they became new servicing for my mortgage and now instead of the bal being $102.000 you have fees to pay of $110,000 immediately. Your new payment is now raised from $716.05 to $1,300.00 I still pay my insurance and taxes no escrow, So I made payment Jan Feb additional $1,100 and $2,000 with two months of mortgage Made payment March and April May receive notice to foreclose in March and made a payment of July and JUNe which was returned and cashed by Seterus I have proof of payment back of check. Received Foreclosed paper from FannieMae, which told me they did not foreclose on people. Fixed interest rate request payment sheet from Bank each year. But in court all payments were blacken out and dates were blacken out. Sept 2013 and Feb 2014 Judge in court said do not bring this person back to court until you prove you have areason to foreclose.

So Seterus ask me to make a six month payment I did and then each month they mailed back my payments until July 2015 New Judge with blacken out papers said foreclose and sale house. I have lived there 14 years never missed a payments and when I applied to appealette court case was closed while. Seterus was trying to use my homeowners insurance to make reparis on my house after they broke in and stole all my beings in the house. 2016 Feb, ADT proof.

Bank of America seized money from my bank account to pay off a delinquent credit card debt I had with them in March of 2012. They gave the money to Court officer Eric Fields who in turn send the money to Goldman and Warshaw. I assumed the debt was paid and didn't think anything about it until February 14th 2017 when I received a letter from an attorney stating that I am being sued for the same debt again. After extensive research and multiple calls to Bank of America and various attorneys I find out that the money seized went to Goldman and Warshaw and they kept it. Goldman and Warshaw have since permanently closed and Bank of America is claiming that the debt is outstanding. I do not understand how this could happen. To sum it up Bank of America seized funds from my checking account in the amount to pay off a delinquent credit card bill I had with them and lost the money!

I am an immigrant that doesnt have legal status but i got a bank account because i came into the US legally. I opened a bank of america account and tried to pay in a cheque in january of 2017 after paying cheques regularly in 2016, i did it on the mobile app which rejected it so i went ahead and did an atm deposit. 10 mins later my account was locked and atm cancelled. I called the vank and explained to them but i was accused if cheque counterfeiting. I was shocked and i was told my account has been closed and i was reported to chexsystems. The amount of 783.24 dollars actually cleared into my account and the bank with held the money and closed my account despite the issuer of the cheque not filling a complaint now for almost a month. I was asked to provide a notarized lettet plus paystub for that cheque which i have not been able to do. I have just the paystub but the bank insists on a notarized letter. So i have to wait for my cheque issuer to give me that. Why would the funds be withheld. I asked the bank to contact the cheque issuer, they declined. I also asked that the funds be returned to the originating account they simply hung up on me and i even had rude remarks thrown at me becuase it was obvious on the account i do not have a social security number.

Bank of America, I hope you are proud of yourself. I deposited an insuranlce check in your bank and you gave me a receipt that said the funds would be abvailable on 12/21/2016. You made some funds available than for no reason you put a hold on the rest of my money until 12/28/2016. I have receipt you gave me saying the entire funds would be released ono the 21st.

The check was for flood damage to my home when Hurricane Hermine hit the west coast of Florida. The only thing worse than a hurricane is you and your rotten rip off ban k. I am so disgusted and will contact any Government, private, and media to let the whole world know about your stinking, ripoff lowlife bank.

I hope the whole world finds out how disgusting and unethical you are. I hope you go out of business and all of you end up on the unemployment line. And while things are at the lowest, I hope someone rips you off. I hope every dog in Pasco County relieves itself in your lobbyl

They made a mistake and had to pay me more than the 12 months of disabilty payments on my home loan. Now I get a lettler from the IRS saying I owe them over one thousand dollars. The Bank of America sent in that I was to get around 7000 dollars in moratage interst from one year when the borrow protection plan paid all my payment. They sent me a check over 5 months earlier saying they mess up and they owe me 2800 dollars for a 5800 dollar mistake in interst they paid. Call 3 reps up and told them I did not make one payment that year they said I was wrong and to cash the check. A man from ths BPP called me and said the check they sent me was to pay the 1200 fine by the IRS. Told him this was illeagy to amidit I had this coming he himself said to pay the fine out of the money from the check that I should agree with them a lie to the IRS. I am seeing the IRS in 2 weeks and my lawyer and will show them all my paperwork and hope they put 3 people in jail that are trying to brib me with this money. Open a business acount so I could receive a wire from my investment company and I was told that they could do that and that would not be any problem. In two weeks I had everything to be wire to Bank of Ameica and they tried 10 and they kept saying the account was new but when I set it up they told me that I would not have any problems. I still don't have my wire for I had to pay $29,000 to change bank account to get it sent to a new bank that I have open. This Bank of America needs to pay that $29,000 for me to change the bank information.

I cashed a check that I believed to be from a Insurance company, however it was a fraudulent check. It was $1550, and after I deposited ihe check, the bank gave me access to it in 24 hrs. I didn't think they would process a check without first checking its authenticity, but they do so that's my fault. After spending most of the funds and a few days later I try to access my account and it shows that I am in the negative of about $1.8 million dollars. It also shows some charges I didn't make myself. I couldn't understand exactly what was going on with my account so I logged out and called my father to ask him if he's seen anything like it or heard anything like this happening.

After our conversation I immediately go to log on my account so I can screen shot everything and call the bank, however I can't log on and it tells me yo call the bank. I call the bank and the lady representative ask if I'm aware the negative balance on my account and explains to me I need to speak to the fraud department. Once I'm on the lime with the fraud department he ask if I'm aware of the resent activities on my account, in which I reply that I had logged on to see this almost 2 million negative balance and a few charges and withdraws but I thought it was just a screw up by the bank. He ask me a few questions regarding the check I cashed and recent internet activity. I told him I had tried a few online loan companies and he said and did you notice any odd charges on your account when you logged on. Again I said besides what I told you no. Then the fraud department rep said for me to not use my accounts, my debit cards associated with my accounts, or log on again to my accoimy BC Bank of America was dropping me as a customer because they believed I was yo much of a risk do to my online use of loan companies. He said the bank was $0 out my account and calling it a loss on there part. When he asked if I understood I said No, but he only restated the same thing. I asked him if I would receive all this information in the mail and he said yes do you understand now. I said yes thank you...... I truthfully did not understand a darn thing this guy was saying so I figured I would look at the paper work he had stated would be sent to me.

After a month all the mail I received from the bank was account closing information and my balance of $0. I've actually received multiple account statements of $0 balance on a closed account that. What confuses me most is I actually had to pay the bank back because they took my next deposit. When I called them to ask about it the only made me wait on the line for 30-45min each time I was transferred which was 3 times to 3 different reps that couldn't help me and acted like they had not a clue to what was going on. So, the last rep I asked to send a full balance sheet of my account activitiesand she said she would. A week later I had a bank statement of the same crap $0 balance without anything else included on this. Wtf???? I can't stand a bank that only cares about money, even if you aren't the person who owes it. Because I actually have the Mint app that sent all my account activities to my email and all the banks activities in trying to change information to benefit themselves I'm actually thinking of suing them because of there neglecting to call me in the first place and more. They call me all the time and on this matter which was most important they decide not to. Sounds fishy to me! They are probably at fault themselves trying to make up for the money they lost in there Class action law suit. Don't open account at this institution. It may seem okay at first but they will get you more then once during your business with them. Thanks!!!!

Bank of America” are trying to make me and my family homeless and tarnished our credit as we repaired our credit to purchase our home. After the housing colapse Bank of America did not try to help me and my family instead they gave me the run around and now that my house is in foreclsoure Bank of America took it up themseleves to sell our home and make us homeless. The banks already got paid/reimbursed by 2008 $700.00 billion Federal Bailout fund and we did not receive anything. How is that our Mayor is trying to prevent homeless and they are forcing people who have homes, HOMELESS. The world we live in. Oh I forgot we getting ready to make America Great Again. LOL!

On Monday this week I got a text that both my checking & savings accounts with BoA were below zero by -$888,888.88 I called the bank customer service thinking I've been a victim of fraud...I got transfers almost nine times till anyone was able to give me a clear understanding of what was going on. I was then advices to go to a banking center, which I did & they were unable to let me know why I had no access to my hard earned money, I sweated honestly to earn... I was also stranded because I had no cash and was in a different state when this happened. Fast forward to today, my online acount is no longer accessible M, my money is still held up ..I'm stuck and it's thanksgiving....they decided to close my account without any reason at all per their agreement, they aren't required to give a reason as to why they did what they did. Right now I've had to borrow some money from a friend hopefully to sustain me till when my funds are released. I also have bill checks that are bouncing as a result and they say I am liable for any fees as a result of their actions! I don't know how this is even possible in America that a bank can do this to a customer who's been with them for almost 10years and has never had any issues with prolonged overdrafts etc. please I hope some law can be past to prevent big banks from these very illegal practices. This is no difference from someone holding you hostage at gun point and taking all your money. Once I get my funds back ...I will make sure I warn everyone to stay away from Bank of America. If anyone knows anything about how to bring these crooked banks to justice ...I am willing to get educated! Thanks

Bank of America's Better Balance Reward credit card is simple. If you use the card for purchase each month and make more than the minium payment you are rewarded with $25 a quarter or $100 per year.

And if you have the bonus applied to an account at BOA, checking or credit card, they give you an extra $5 per quarter.

Or so they say.

OK.

First I charged my card and then paid off the card, all in the same month and they did nto give me the bonuse because they said I paid my card off too soon. They did not give me the bonus because they said I had to wait until the bill driops and then pay it. So I did. I had to make sure the dates lined up when I was on vacation or out of town or whatever.

I Think I had it on Billpay but Bank of America may have stopped BILL pay on their own credit cards...GOOD GRIEF.

It took me months of checking my account to find missing bonuses and numerous calls to get this fixed.

Then I did not get paid AGAIN...

They changed the wording to state you do not need an account balance..ONLY a charge in each month or an account balance....and to pay more than the minimum balance.

OK I did that.

But no they never paid me.

Why do you ask?

Well that is where BOA gets SKETCHY.

That is where FRAUD comes into play.

They said it was because their system determines it..and well the system said I did not.

Is there any intelligent life left?

I made a charge every month.

I had their bonus which "can be used to pay down your card" applied to the card.

GOTCHA.

They said using the cash bonus which could have been sent as a check to me, added to the checking account or added to the credit card WAS NOT programmed as a payment.

Seriously.

My credit card balance ws a credit balance. It was acutally paid MORE than I owed....but Bank of America in Thehir great wisdom said it was not a payment.

Well SIR, Robert the Social Media representative. That is a cop out, an outright fraud and a programming problem. It is not a LINDA the customer problem.

They start telling me I should have made another payment even though npo money was due or I should have had the bonus applied to checking account.

NO diptsticks at BOA you should have your system programmed to accept all paymnets as payments or have enough intelligent folks to understand system limitations and override as needed.

That is why the ALLY BANK commercials are so effective. Bank of America Customers are tired of being flim flammed and treated withj disdain and disrespect. It is not my fault your programming is subpar.

Why cheat me out of a bonus? Does it make you feel good to screw over your customers? Are you happy now?

What did I do wrong?

I used your card every month. I paid my card off in full every month...BUT after the date the bill drops... Your system nullified my automatic payment since you applied the bonus to my account..Your system determines when to process bonuses. QUIT BLAMING THE CUSTOMER.

I am not happy!

Not good customer service.

Bank of America is a BIG rip off, or to say, a robber.

On May 6, 2016, I had ZERO balance in my Bank of America checking account (Account Number End with 7375), and ZERO balance in my Bank of America credit card (Account Number End with 6855). I did have few hundred dollars in my saving account.

I thought I had removed all ACH and I would not sign any checks from these accounts anymore.

What I didn't know was, three days later, Bank of America transferred $200 from my credit card to my checking account for so called "overdraft protection service", and after that, every month Bank of America charged me $12 on my checking and $35 on my credit card.

I found out this in late October, 2016, and by the time I found out, Bank of America already charged me total of $72 on my checking and $241 on my credit card, with total of $313, and also my FICO credit score dropped from over 700 to 600.

By without spending a penny, I owe Bank of America $313, and they didn't want to waive my fees. Bank of America is a BIG rip off on consumer and is also a BIG robber.

If i could give them a BIG ZERO I would. I was referred to this agency regarding a job. I fillout out all the paper work. Took the fingerprint as directed. I was then told i have the job and to put in my 2weeks notice. I put in my 2 weeks notice as instructed to do so by Ryan My last day at my old job whom begged me to stay was Oct 5 2016. My start date was suppose to be October 10th 2016 with BOA They told me this on the friday prior to oct 10 that they werent sure if i will start that date becuse it was a holiday for the bank. Ok no problem. But then come Monday they werent sure what day i will start. Later that week they tell me that something is pendung on my background.. Impossible i just did fingerprints Sept 15 for my insurance stare license. I call the FBI was told to called FDLE , was told to call the place i took my finger prints. Finally from Firldprints i was advised that their client BOA hasnt open the background check report yet. Advised them if all of this info i did the foot work on. All Ryan could say was we have to wait for it to clear. I was ran back in forth for 2 days. Just to be told wait wait wait. Well guess what my bill a are not waiting. This is causing me a financial hardship for me and my family. Why tell me to leave my job when you wasnt 100% sure that th is job was secured. They absolutly do not care at all..BEWARE!!!

Hello All, It seems a good number of us have been defrauded by Bank of America/NA in regards to mortgages, out-right fraud regarding mortgage payoffs that have violated numerous Federal and State laws in the process. My story is that I went through a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 10/2013. My bankruptcy debt was discharged three months later. I was selling my home in October of 2014 and attempted to get a payoff amount on an equity line of credit with BOA beginning in August of 2014. At the time of the bankruptcy I owed $61,000 and that was the figure a representative gave me over the phone. My closing attorney contacted BOA as did I for a payoff amount in September for the October 20th , 2014 closing date, BOA would not provide the amount. Mysteriously BOA sent an equity line statement in September now showing a $72,000 equity line balance, but, as of yet no payoff amount. At closing on 10/20/2014 my attorney sent $73,000 to BOA, yet no payoff recieved! Monies were FEDEX'd to BOA on 10/20/2014. From October 20th, 2014 to January 30th, 2015 BOA increased the amount to payoff the equity line to over $74,000+. BOA violated State and Federal laws regarding payoff and release of lien documents.

To- date I still have no definitive payoff amount, nor, payoff documents. Upon investigation BOA padded my equity line payoff by over $13,000. The $13,000 was a discharged BOA credit card amount that was rolled into my equity line balance. BOA has arbitrarily committed Federal and State related bank fraud regarding funds/ fraudulent charges, payoff requests and posting of payoff payments, plus adding additional interest and fee's. The attitude of their bankruptcy department was one of 'to bad to sad'. The fraudulent fees had to be paid to release the property liens due to the sale. Ultimately BOA overcharged me on the equity line payoff in the amount of $13,000, plus fees. They also violated the Federal and State laws on providing payoff amounts. And also violated Federal and State laws regarding posting payoffs (30 days vs 90 days on BOA's part.) They are in the process of being served papers in Federal District Court asking for Count 1 - $13,000 in charges rolled from a discharged credit card debt, plus $250,000 for fraud, pain and suffering. Count 2 - $50,000 for violating laws regarding providing payoff amounts. Count 3 - $50,000 for violating laws regarding posting of payoffs. 4 - $40,000 Reasonable court costs and attorneys fees required to resolve the matters of fraud and violation of state and federal laws. Mr. Brian T. Moynihan CEO and Chairman of the Board, you should have better control of your various departments actions in regard to controlling fraud and unethical business practices. Your banks (BOA) took the US. Tax payers money for a bailout, yet, have continued to use fraudulent and unscrupulous practices in dealing with their clients . NEW

Several years ago when I was in the bank making a deposit, they asked me if I wanted to open a free savings account. Since it was free I said "why not" they set me up with "save the change" and "over draft protection" I never really used the account but everytime I used my debit card the change went into this account. It was kind of cool because every few months I would find my balance was up to $100

Well lately I noticed that my balance has stayed around $2-$5 So I went online and looked at the account. It is now a checking account and I'm being charged $12 a month. I called and was told that because in one month I made over 5 withdrawels the account became a Checking account. WHAT THE H ..... the guy said that for over a year they have been charging me $12 a month .... he said by law they are allowed to do this and don't have to notify me and they won't refund any of the $12 charges. He said I should have read the fine print

This is so sneaky and underhanded ... they clipped me for about $200. My fault because I wasn't checking my balance. How many other people are they doing this to

SHAME ON YOU B of A

Bank of America has an illegal lien on my property and is refusing to send me a lien release letter to have it removed.

The mortgage, which precipitated the lien, was paid off in 2004 or 2005. On 3/24/1994, a title was issued on a mobile home I purchased - Illinois Title number ****9547. My mortgage lender, Community State Bank of Salem (FDIC #17931), put a lien on the title. On June 1, 1995, Community State Bank was acquired by Boatmen's Bank. On June 14, 1997, Boatmen's Bank was acquired by NationsBank, NA. On June 5, 1999, NationsBank was renamed to Bank of America. Both the FDIC and the Federal Reserve confirm these facts, including the fact that Community State Bank of Salem, IL is no longer a bank.

However, Bank of America has denied that they are CSB's successor, and have told me that the bank is still in existence and that I should contact them, even though they cannot provide me with a phone number or address for said bank.

BofA has also stated that they need a title search, which has been repeatedly sent.

In request #16960147 to Bank of America, talking to Keturah in Mortgage Customer Service (ph. #8006696607), Keturah told me on July 18, 2016 that I would hear about the matter by Friday, July 22. In request #16960147, I faxed to ph. #4152287975, a copy of a title search from the IL Sec of State's office, a copy of a previous mortgage statement from NationsBank (a former name of Bank of America) with loan number ******3697 at the top, and a copy of the webpage from the FDIC website stating that Bank of America is the successor bank to Community State Bank of Salem, IL. As I heard nothing by noon on Friday, July 22, I called again and talked to "Mandy" and asked her to message Keturah telling her that if I didn't hear back from her by the end of that day concerning that matter, I would follow through with a complaint to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (their federal regulator). I heard nothing. Today, I filed complaints with the BBB, the OCC, the FBI (for bank fraud), the IL Attorney General, the NC Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission/Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Federal Reserve.

The effort to resolve this matter began around June 15 with efforts daily from both me and my title company (Renshaw and associates of Mount Vernon, IL). Bank of America has shown me nothing to show they still have any reason for continued interest in the property in the form of a lien. The mortgage was paid off in 2004-2005. I have mortgage statements and cancelled checks in the name of NationsBank still in my possession, and have been faxed to Bank of America. Bank of America tells me that the mortgage is too old to still be in their system. It is on their burden to show that I still owe any money to them on this loan. Failure to be able to show that, the bank should produce a lien release letter. A title search has been supplied to them on multiple occasions, and proof that the loan landed in their hands has also been supplied through both FDIC information, and an old mortgage statement. I have read on the internet where there have been multiple problems with others getting their lien released from Bank of America, and there have been multiple class action lawsuits filed against them for lien release fraud such as mine in various states.

When I became a preferred VIP customer of B of A they treated me like GARBAGE. I called their 800 "customer service" line and asked for a reversal on my B of A Visa. I am a disabled, senior citizen.

You would NOT believe the cruel, hateful, degrading insults I received from the B of A rep of WHY I had bought the product in the 1st place. (Why don't I remove my breast implants so I can fit into the dress that was made 4 sizes too small? Excuse me, I don't have and would never, ever get breast implants or anything of the equivalent. So WHY don't I lose a little weight to fit into the garment? Excuse me, I've just spent a full year in bed recovering from serious medical issues and I'm certainly not fat, and besides I'll never fit into a size 2. I gave my measurements and sizes for the custom made dress which I was told would be made in NY. The company lied. There's not enough fabric in a size 2 dress to go around my bust.)

The company tried to settle with me online offering me a major, major discount. Of course I refused as I had already talked to the woman's supervisor who CLAIMED she would counsel the employee on her inappropriate behavior, and reverse the charges. As I have poor vision I had to trust her. Too late I found out the manager had done absolutely nothing and I was 100% screwed.

I was still stuck with B of A. When I next needed to make a dispute of charges I repeatedly asked for a manager right off the bat. I was refused and GUARANTEED this rep wouldn't make a mistake. Guess what? By the time a few months later I made a follow-up call and learned this rep had NEVER filed the necessary paperwork to dispute the charges, the company was out-of-business and I was out $$$. The rep tried to tell me that she could go ahead and file the paperwork at that time. She REFUSED repeated requests for a valid explanation of EXTREME NEGLIGENCE and FRAUD. I demanded to speak to a manager. I was put on hold and then obviously purposely disconnected.

I called back and had to go through my complaint over and over and over again after being passed around to numerous low-level idiots who did NOTHING but tell me managers "aren't here right now." No they "didn't know when one would be available." Of course they couldn't leave a message or do anything else to help me either.

As soon as I was physically well I called my bank. It took me ALL DAY of calling every single hour to try and get someone to answer the phone. NO ONE ever did. I KNOW you can NEVER walk into the bank and see anyone without HOURS of waiting. I do NOT drive and the branch is about 6 miles roundtrip away. I have to be in good physical health as it means walking uphill.

I walked into another branch early last Dec. I demanded to immediately CLOSE my account. I was mad I was being charged by 2 different companies for monthly fees AFTER I had told them repeatedly I wanted to completely cancel. Friends had told me the ONLY way to end the regular monthly charges was to close the account. At the Ft Apache and West Tropicana branch of B of A I gave them one full hour. had to talk to multiple individuals giving them the same, extremely stressful story. Guess what happened? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Total waste of my time.

Then I tried calling a different branch of B of A, the one on Spring Mountain and Wynn. The branch manager finally gave me his number for Corporate B of A. It was a BUM number although they answered B of A right off the bat. Payroll dept for B of A? I was jerked around for 2 solid hours until I got a supervisor who REFUSED repeated requests to give me his name. He only would identify himself as "I'm Susan's supervisor." Yes this is the quality of customer service personnel B of A hires. A man who is a supervisor who thinks it's really funny to REFUSE repeated requests to give his name.

So I called back and finally got to his office manager who chewed me out for calling the wrong branch of B of A. Excuse me? Why isn't she blaming the branch manager who gave me this number? How dare she blame a customer. Sure she lied and promised repetedly to have the Exec Office of B of A contact me. What a joke.

I've filled out another complaint a month ago with the Better Business Bureau asking to be contacted by EMAIL ONLY. I've given B of A one full year to call me and now my lawyer wants a copy of all correspondence. Guess what the 100% incompetents at B of A have been doing to me? That's right. Non-stop, harassing phone calls DEMANDING I talk to them IMMEDIATELY just because they are finally calling me now, one full year later. Excuse me? Just because you decide to finally attempt to respond does NOT mean I have to stop an emergency situation to talk to you. I lost my full-time job because the JERK at B of A did NOT respond to "EMAIL ONLY."

How many times must you tell someone, STOP CALLING ME. EMAIL ONLY? Does this idiot EVER listen? Of course not. He keeps on calling and calling and calling and calling and leaving messages, and leavng messages, and leaving messages.

How SELFISH and RUDE is this jerk? Would you EVER want to talk to the MOST INCOMPETENT IDIOT in the entire world who doesn't care if he wakes you up? If he interrupt an extremely crucial call with your doctor? If he bothers you in the middle of any emergency situation? Yelling at him to STOP BOTHERING ME and to respond by email ONLY as I stated ONLY makes him bother me 10 times MORE.

I just got an email from Better Business Bureau claiming B of A stated that they were really trying to settle the situation and my complaints. My lawyer INSISTED I get copies of all correspondence with B of A which again means email only. The jerk has left more messages demanding I call him "at my convenience." Right.

As if he would ever be available at my convenience. As if I would ever want to talk to anyone who DEMANDS REPEATEDLY that I talk to him RIGHT THAT SECOND despite my telling him I was dealing with an emergency at work and could NOT talk at all. Instead he INSISTED ONCE AGAIN that since after one full year B of A had finally, finally called me back I should be willing to stop my entire life and listen to him for as long as he wanted. Thanks a lot B of A for making me lose my full-time job. This phone number is shared by others and they are FURIOUS at having to listen to your bothersome messages knowing I've even YELLED AT YOU TO STOP calling me. I even tried slamming down the phone in the jerk's ear as I was throwing up so violently I couldn't talk. What did he do? Called right back over and over and over again.

Bank of America Credti card told me I am responsible for unauthorized charges and said I opened up a credit card and I never applied for it. The people in the presidential office told me I am responsible for the charges and I never applied for this US airways bank of America credit card and Brandi and Ramona are nasty witches and need an attiude adjustment along with Veda, and Victoria. I hope karma gets these people for ruining my credit and telling me I am responsible for these charges and how can I be responsible for charges that I never charged. These witches should get fired from BOA and get a job cleaning toilets to clean up their snotty little attitudes.

I was informed by letter from the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester Wshington that "a current emplyee accidentally mailed a small number of IRS tax information to the wrong addresses," and was never told of who or where my information went.

There had been cash advances taken, I did not recognize, but as they were on a statement, it was over 72 hours, the bank said I was responsible. The card credit limit had been raised to $6500 without a request as I am disabled and can't afford that much.

I called the Card Services F.I.A. Company who handles BOA transactions after a statement in 2015 showed over $4500 in ATM cash advances. I called to see if that information was still on file and they sid yes.

January 20th, 2015 I was in a serious motor vehicle accident that has apparently resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury, but SSID will not pay for testing required to prove it, though two other medical personnel and physical/mental/emotional symptoms suggest moderate to severe, as worst have not resolved in 15 months.

Also, without a request the credit limit had been unknowingly increased to $8800.00 (which is ($600 more than I get in a full year)

And at that times ALL of the Credit Reporting Agencies said all the information I entered did not match their records, referring to home loans, car loans and financial institutions. And I could not get any info from them.

As just the minimum payment is now so high, I am having trouble just paying my bills, though I have never had a late payment, or went over limit, I tried to get the limit raised to $10,000 in order to qualify for debt relief programs, but was refused.

Now, after the head injury, I get so confused and anxious I can't even try to deal with them, cause I get differring answers from differing people at the Bank's Customer Service, and I am so lost, at 60 years old, with no one to help, I am simply getting worse and worse.

I don't see any way out, but for anyone else, make sure to call the automated number every day, because if you don't you WILL be held reliable regardless of the circumstances. Don't let this happen to you.

DO NOT get a Bank of America Credit Card!!!! Bank of America WILL make you pay for unauthorized charges even though their website states customers have $0 Liability for Unauthorized Charges.

I noticed unauthorized charges on my Bank of America Credit Card in the amount of $216.01 and immediately wrote a letter to Bank of America disputing these unauthorized charges. I also called Bank of America as soon as I noticed the unauthorized charges.

Bank of America denied the fraud claim saying "Because the activity on your account appears to reflect a typical spending pattern, we are unable to determine that fraud had occurred on the account".

After writing several letters to Bank of America, they still deny reimbursing me for the unauthorized charges. They also deny giving me any kind of proof linking these unauthorized charges to me. No copies of signatures, no PIN number entered etc.

I then filed complaints with:

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Better Business Bureau

Missouri Attorney General

Missouri Division of Finance

Office of the Comptroller of the Currency

Again, DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD WITH BANK OF AMERICA! There are so many other great credit card providers who will actually not hold you responsible for unauthorized charges. I would highly recommend American Express, Barclay Card, and Capital One instead of Bank of America.

I normally do not go on here unless I am trying to warn people about a shady person which has been like twice in my life I think.

Well what brings me here is .....

I bank with Bank of America and I happen to notice a transaction that I made earlier in the day seemed a little fishy. Now the amount wasn't the biggest issue but was icing on the cake. As soon as I notice that this company that was selling toll free numbers of all thing could be fraudulant, I immediatly contact my bank not to expet that I would get bounced around on every department without them addressing the urgency of the stop payment issue. That is what first started to get the blood boiling I litterally talked to 4 people in the course half due to there LACK OF COMPASSION OR CUSTOMER SERVICE the other half was due to there "Its not my problem" attitude.

To try to sum this up it was no longer a riddle why it was such a circus once I met this real winner Gary Archeleta after they had me for 50 plus minutes over a $5.00 transaction but the threat with this fraudster was a bigger concern and I must have been passed around for over 20 minutes with conflicting directions on what to do before we even made any progress in this at all ....which wasn't much.

Billing sent me to claims sayingit was that kind of issue, Claims sent me back to billing saying "The transaction is to small for claims". Billing then gives me the well we cant cancel it

"Its already processed"(2hrs go) and we have to wait until its done and THEN we can file a claim. AE YOU KIDDING ME. At this point its the principal of he lack of professionalizm and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Bank of America Gary belongs at like a bait shop selling worms or something. You have a "Manager trying to put out fires with gasoline. WARNNG WRNING Mayday Mayday. Thanks to this it was an I opener one to be more careful on my end. On 12/23/2015 Bank of America Enterprise Customer Service Agent, Fil Sarabia ( possibly Marie Fil Sarabia ) made phone contact with me related to a Case opened by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on 12/22/2015. (Doc 45)

On 12/23/2015 we had what I deemed to be an exceptional 45 minute conversation. In that conversation I detailed the problems related to the absent Renewal Application Process as well as voluminous amounts of down stream deviance. At several points during the conversation I stopped to confirm she understood the nefarious nature of some of the choreographed customer service scripts used in a fake underwriting denial process, and she verbally acknowledged understanding.

On 12/28/2015 I sent Fil Sarabia a fax summarizing our conversation, and I provided a URL with 40 documents to support my claims related to this situation. (Doc 46) On 12/29/2015 Fil returned a fax acknowledging receipt of my fax (Doc 48)

On 1/5/2015 I received notice from the CFPB indicating Bank of America had requested an extension for their investigation. They had now been granted 60 days to respond.

On 1/6/2016 I left a voice mail for Fil asking for a personal update on her investigation. She never returned my call.

On 1/8/2016 I left a voice mail for Fil asking for a personal update on her investigation. She never returned my call.

On 1/15/2016 I sent Fil a fax asking for a personal update on her investigation. She never acknowledged receipt of my fax.(Doc 69)

On 1/21/2016 Fil provided a 3 page response to the CFPB Case. It was totally void of information related to the absent Renewal Application Process, which is what started the ball rolling for other nefarious activities. It was also void of all information related to the fake underwriting process, which I detailed verbally and provided documentation for.

Anyone reading that letter submitted to the CFPB on 1/21/2016 would not realize there was voluminous amounts of verbal and written dialogue on this matter prior to the CFPB Case.

Anyone reading that letter would not realize Fil and I had had a conversation on 12/23/2015. Anyone reading that letter would not realize Bank of America was provided with 40 documents related to this situation on 12/28/2015 (including 30 pages of email dialogue with BofA execs and legal).

Anyone reading that letter would not realize Fil had terminated two way communication with me in early January 2016. The document was a self-incriminating misdirection drafted solely to be able to claim a response to the CFPB claim had been provided. (Doc 73a)

I'm quite confident that 3 page response was written by and/or with the assistance of a Bank of America Attorney. I don't know what level to which Fil participated in the drafting of the response, but given she allowed her name to be put on it, until she personally exposes the names of others, she is fully responsible for that response.

If and when Fil contacts me directly and provides the names of any others who assisted her with that response, those names will be added to this post and/or they will earn their own post.

Can Bank of America report status as 90-120 days late on an paid in full account years later? This ruined my credit and they won't fix it.

  • Jan 15, 2016

I signed up for Bank of America email and text notice on account status years ago and do get notified when my accounts drop below $25 or I overdraft. I depend on these notices because I travel alot and every once in a while my accounting system fails. When I first started to get the notices I would get both the overdraft and balance level notices as soon as the action against my account occurred.

This changed about 2 years ago. Now I get the account balance notification on the same day the action ocurrs but now I do not get the OVERDRAFT notice until the day after tha action ocurrs. Now this may have something to do with the court ruling that banks have to enter deposits before withdrawals on a calendar day.

Bank of America explains that these notices are just a courtesy service for their customers, like there is actually a person at B of A watching my account activity and sending me texts and emails. Now we know this is not happening.

The alerts are being sent by a computer when it sees an alert condition on my account. Being extremely knowledgeable on how computer programs work leads me to believe that Bank of America has changed their Alert Notification program to delay the Overdraft Notification until the day after the overdraft takes place. To me this seems like a specific action taken by Bank of America to commit FRAUD. This is not an example of a company mis-interpreting the rule of law and making a mistake. This is an example of a company totally understanding the rule of law and taking action to violate it.

I have been going to this B of A location since August of 2015 to cash my check. I am asked to consider direct deposit and or banking with Bank of America. It is expected for the bankers to attempt to make me a customer and to offer me direct deposit, but today the banker made me feel displeased. The banker insinuated my visits are not welcomed and was very ungracious as she stated the bank was for customers only. Am I not a customer if my employer is a customer and I am receiving a Bank of America check? I have not had an issue with the long wait times. I have never complained when I have visited the branch. I felt the banker was impolite in presenting her thoughts to me.

I bought some books from website www.packtpub.com. I used paypal to paid 65US$. Paypal billed that tranaction to my BankAmericard cash Rewards card ( end with 5716), but that credit card charged me 1.95$ for foreign transaction fee. It is so strange because paypal is local company and paypal only billed US dollar. There is no currency convert. But the credit card still charge me foreign transaction fee. I complained to the customer service, the customer service said it is because the website is from United Kingdom. I don't think that make any sense. For example I bought a can of fruit from Walmart, which is made in Unite Kingdom, should I pay forein transaction fee? I feel I am ripped off.

In 2009 Bank of America Illegally added an expiration date to at least 4,230 former LaSalle Bank Small Business Express Lines of Credit. LaSalleBank was bought out by B of A in 2008. It is still being determined if this was being done on 100K plus additional small business loans of non-Lasalle origin. B of A has admitted in court that this was "intentionally undertaken" but has been using delaying tactics to drag this out.

These loans were originally written as revolving lines of credit with NO expiration date (similar to credit cards where someone can borrow up to a certain amount and pays down the loan with at least minimum payments and can then borrow again as needed).

I am currently the only "class representative" in this lawsuit against B of A and am initially looking for similar small business loan customers (LaSalle or Non-LaSalle) to join as class representatives in this lawsuit. My lawyers are on "contingency", so your participation involves no financial outlay. Without additional "class representatives", the class action portion of this case could be dismissed if something happens to me. I am 61 years old and have been involved in this suit since May, 2010.

If you had a similar revolving line of credit with B of A and was told this loan has an expiration date (or know someone) please e-mail me at [email protected] and I can have my lawyer contact you.

I was moving to a different state and went in to Bank Of America to close my account. The representative assured me that it was closed with a zero balance. 3 years later I try to open an account at another bank in my new state and am informed that my name is in CHECK SYSTEMS. I call CheckSystems and they say that Bank of America "closed" my account for unpaid fees. WHAT?? I called Bank of America and they refuse to remedy the situaion. They sent a letter to check systems saying I owe nothing but yet will not write a letter to them stating it was a BANK ERROR so that they can remove my name from the CheckSystems bank. I am seeking legal representaion

BofA Execs in the mid 2000’s were originating convoluted HELOC Agreements with vague renewal clauses and other non-natural agreement terms. In 2015 BofA arbitrarily denied Renewals during Resets to inappropriately SHOVE customers into illogical repayment periods. The result is the forced pay down of lines of credit as if they were mortgages.

At time of reset, no renewal process was offered, no home appraisals was done, and no income verification processes related to a renewal was performed. This deviated from the standard business practics of the mid 2000s and this deviated from the promises made during the origination process during the mid 2000s. This results in a credit line freeze and a forced payoff of a credit line via a 15 year, non-amortizing payment.

The arbitrary decision not to renew a revolving line of credit (while they are originating more lines of credit), creates a cash-flow boon and a real estate play for bankers at a devastating cost for citizens (BofA is not alone, every Big Bank is in on the game). My $867 interest only payment is jumping to $2617/month.

Many in the media and government who falsely believe a HELOC is supposed to get paid off like a mortgage (which its not) also believe that the repayment periods on these agreements is a a 20 year amortized payment. Both of those are false beliefs, but with regards to the repayment period, principal and interest on a 20 year amortized term would be $1800/month range, so this forced pay-off is WAY more aggressive than a 20 year amortized payment, which is what most in the media and the industry are reporting as the repayment terms. The false reporting is coming either out of ignorance or it is planted by bankers to try to mask the reality of their deviant game.

All big banks are involved in similar situations with these HELOCs. The Government knows ‘something is wrong’ and has encouraged the banks to work with customers. Bank of America made a formal statement indicating they were offering payment reduction programs to ease the burden for those trapped in the forced payoff period.

I applied for the payment reduction program, and unfortunately, Bank of Amreica execs have contrived a deviant application process and nonsensical Program Guidelines enabling them to Deny all payment reduction applications. In my case, a false denial was given with an inflated debt value. Upon escalation, it was exposed that the ratio used to deny was related to the 15 year period which I was trying to avoid, and not the 25 year period I was applying for. Betty Watson, a BofA VP claimed the contrived Program Guidelines were of government doing. Unfortunately, she did NOT realize I had been thru a reset with PNC Bank and of a far different understanding. I knew her story was a lie and I told her as much.

Betty was given 24 hours to provide me the Government guidelines in writing or the name of the BofA Execs who created the fake payment reduction process. The following day Betty recanted her claim the guidelines were govt contrived. She indicated she and others questioned the guidelines and they were told in an employee meeting the guidelines were approved by the OCC, which is far different than a government mandate. It was never clear then if she was told to claim they were government guidelines or if they were left in limbo to defend the guidelines on their own if caught in the scam.

My false denial was elevated thru 3 BofA Vice Presidents (Dwight Carlisle, Jennifer Bone, Karen Spagna). Each was given the opportunity to address the arbitrary denial of a renewal as well as the fake underwriting program. Each chose to remain silent. Eventually I was referred to David Tinkler, Assistant General Counsel for Bank of America. After an attempted blow off, I buried david in facts related to my experience (all via email). In return I received an offer for the payment reduction I had been denied, as long as I signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Given this might affect as many as 750,000 Bank of America customers, and given the industry wide scam might affect 3.3 million citizens ($16-48 Billion in reduced cash circulation over next 3 years) and given the fact the offer didn’t really address all of my concerns related to convoluted HELOC agreements moving forward, I declined the offer. My payment jumped from $900/mo to $2600/mo as of November 1, and I’m taking this opportunity to expose this deviance to the world, and I’m making it as personal for those involved as it was for me.

Each of the individuals named above was involved in a very deviant racketeering related business process. I provided each of these individuals with the opportunity to rectify this situation for me and none had the strength to do so. Each of these individuals chose to look out for themselves and their own jobs as opposed to outing behavior that is affecting millions of fellow citizens.

As such, I’ve published everything I have related to my experience online at http://bofa-racketeering-2015.weebly.com . That website includes all email dialogue, original banking agreements, bank statements, etc.

By publishing this information, I have given each of the individuals involved in this situation the opportunity to be a whistleblower, and I’ve done the hard work for them. Each of these individuals has an opportunity to turn a bad situation into a better one. Now the question is simple... will they make lemonade from lemons OR will they choose to remain silent and leave a personal legacy of weakness documented online for all of the future members of their family trees to see?

Getting caught in employment situations where we are forced to make bad decisions and where we participate in things that negatively affect the lives of others is fairly common. These kinds of situations and experiences are a natural part of life. While participating in them is a problem, it’s what we do to rectify those situations when we get caught or become more conscious that matters most.

If I find out the individuals involved in this have become whistleblowers, I will add that additional info to all of my publishings.
