I placed an order on line, on 10/13/15 and was charged sales tax for the product I ordered. As this is illegal to

charge sales tax over the Internet, only if the company is in the same area or state in which I reside, which it is not! Samsung is comitting Internet Fraud which is a federal offence. They know they are doing this and I am probably the first customer to call them on this! I have contacted my credit card company of their fraudilent dealings and filed a "removal dispute" of the tax charge to my card. I am wondering how many consumers have paid tax over the Internet to Samsung, illegally!!?? I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and if there are attorneys reading this, I hope to hear from you as well! I am also contacting the Federal agencies concerning this matter. Thank you for your time.

This is in regards to ticket number # 2138229666. The fridge broke down completely – all the food in the freezer defrosted and was at room temperature followed by loss of cooling in the fridge. Fridge was one year and 5 months old. We contacted Samsung who proceeded to tell us that if the issue is with the compressor it is under warranty for ten years and would be repaired. When representative was questioned why a new appliance would completely break down, it would appear that there is something very wrong with this unit, Representative stated that they would attempt to fix the problem, if technician stops by three times and cannot repair the unit, a new unit would be provided.

First contact with company August 26th – essentially referred to third party for repairs as stated above. Contact made with repair company August 26th. Repair technician stops by first time August 28th – no Freon, cannot tell us where it went. Possible leak but not clear on the underlying issue. Repair technician stops by second time Sept 1st – we were told to install something that would help them figure out weather it was a Freon leak or obstruction in flow. Told by repair company that would stop by Sept 8th again – husband took a day off work. Sept 8th they informed us that they would not be coming after all, would stop by next day. Sept 9th Repair technician stops by the third time – Freon replenished, still no explanation why it was not there at all. I had requested that they place in writing where the issue was in the first place, they however did not do that. The paper left at the house simply states – no leak.

The fridge started cooling after the Freon was replenished, but is making the exact same VERY loud rattling noise when the compressor kicks in as it did before it broke down completely. So clearly the underlying defect was never fixed, they just pumped it with freon and called it a day. We were told by the company that we are welcome to open a ticket and have them stop by for the 4th time. Now verything in the freezer has defrosted again. I am not taking any more days off work to have these people come and jerk us around.

Samsung knows there is a problem and there have been enough people with failed units that there are two class action law suits against the company. This is a serious health hazard since the display shows the temp the freezer/ fridge of what it should be and not what it actually is, so food is rotting in the fridge and you don't even know about it. That not considering the fact that you just paid 3K for something that worked for one year. There really needs to be a new story about this - since pregnant people and babies and anyone with impaired immune system can die for food poising due to poorly refridgerated foods. its a health hazard and I will make sure that as many people as I can reach know about this proble

My phone died overnight charging on my kitchen countertop. The phone in question is my samsung s5 active. I tried a new battery, new charging cord and nothing helped. The screen was just black. After calling support and going through the variety of resets. They said to send my phone in. That's when the nightmare started. Online support after a couple conversations said to call in to give my credit card details for a replacement. Called in and they said that was not possible and to wait 9-11 days. I talked to support on facebook and said i needed my phone for work and they bumped me up to 72 hours. Sounds good, right? Well support comes back the next day with:

*08/19/2015//11:50:31//*//telephone//asc*

8/19/2015 10:46 am-pba inspection: the unit has left the technician. Solution: ber

Liquid damaged on pba components

8/19/2015 7:42 am-*hernandez: the unit has been received.

Pack condition: fair packaging Box & cushion)

Which almost seems copy and pasted from the many other water damaged reports. The only problem is i only use my active for work and it sits in my laptop bag 90% of the time. I don't use it as an outdoor phone nor go diving in pools.

Secondly, i didn't send my phone in a "box & cushion", i sent it in bubble wrapped air bag which is further proof that they're just copy and pasting this excuse. Samsung must think "water damaged" is an easy excuse to not fix phones for the "active" line.

I've had bad support and the run around from big companies before, i almost expect that but to have lies made up to not repair my phone is apalling. I will never purchase a samsung product ever again. This was my 3rd galaxy and they're all great phones but samsung itself is down right cheats.

I've been happily using Samsung Phones for years. I recently (in May) upgraded my phone a Note II which I really loved, to the Galaxy S5 Active. I'm an avid Kayaker and figured that the IP67 rating of the S5 was worth the smaller screen compared to the Note phone. The idea was to get the phone out of the water proof pouch I used to carry the Note in so I could use it to navigate, call for help and other fun and serious things, in a pinch 911.

The IP67 rating I was relying on states that the phone should be, "Able to protect against Immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes." I was involved in some rescue practice where I was in the water 3 or 4 times for about 3 minutes each time where my phone was in my PFD (life jacket) to a depth of about one foot. Clearly this is within the bounds set by the International Electrotechnical Commission who are the people who set up the IP67 rating which Samsung says this phone complies with.

Samsung says "liquid damage" voids the warranty, but if my warranty claim is based on the phone failing the "liquid" part of the IP67 rating then by definition it would have to have liquid damage. Right? When I've pointed this out to them they have told me that I probably didn't have the cover on correctly, they said this before even seeing the phone. The phone has a safety system that tells you if you don't have the cover on right, so I know I did.

So Samsung has ruled the phone is BER which stands for beyond economic repair, and because it's sustained "liquid damage" it's not covered under warranty. To me this is a violation of their advertising, their warranty, and just fair play.

Reading repair report from Samsung - SOLUTION=BER (Beyond economical repair)

looked this up... found that this means it is being returned NOT repaired!

Phone is designed (as per the manufacturer) to be capable of taking underwater photos for up to 30 min. and under 3 feet of water. In this case - phone was in water less than 5 min. and less than 1 ft. of water. electronics worked and sounds played as if phone was operating but the screen was black.

This phone was a replacement phone after a repair by AT&T under thier warrantee (over a different issue). It was used less than 2 months. At&t explaned that after 2 years of repairing phones due to this EXACT failure of the manufacturer's design, they turned all these repairs over to Samsung.

Phones are a major expense to purchase. SOme costing as much as a used car! For such a well known company to blantantly LIE to the public and be legally allowed to just walk away from their responsibility is CRIMINAL.
