GoDaddy Reviews

  • Feb 7, 2022

They know that I have the evidence to prove all this and lot more and it goes back for the past 7 years. The pattern of the above mentioned and years of my life wasted on contacting GoDaddy "premium support" (as I had over 1000 domain names and have spent some $50,000 over the years), and contacting [email protected] to no avail.

They cannot claim that any of this is accidental or a glitch. I have the concrete evidence that supports my claims and lot more/worse. I've lost numerous important and very valuable domain names because of their manipulations of my settings, contact info, security notifications, as well as registrant info and all else. One can yearly make several thousands of dollars on one single domain parking or sub leasing domain name and such but I made nothing.

Multiply that by a thousand domain names or even currently 619 at GoDaddy (I also own around 1519 domain names on Namecheap that now appears to be GoDaddy's partner and same pattern is happening there.). Google is partner with GoDaddy and eNom etc.

Multiply that by a thousand domain names or even currently 619 at GoDaddy (I also own around 1519 domain names on Namecheap that now appears to be GoDaddy's partner and same pattern is happening there.). Google is partner with GoDaddy and eNom etc.

GoDaddy has partnered with Google, and they switched all of my domains DNS to point to Google's NS records without notifications of any kind. They are repeatedly changing my real contact info to wrong information, and that is a setup for compliance failure and such.

For two years now on the record, they are showing me Doppelgangers (evil twins - also known as "ghost candidates in politics) and they refuse to allow me to fix it and they refuse to fix when I request them to do so. I can't sell a single domain name, and I think that they are blocking it all by manipulation verifications and all else.

I don't know how else to describe it but I am hijacked and tortured hostage. I can't take it anymore. I begged them to stop, but they ignore me. That is discrimination in addition to all else. My livelihood is destroyed as well as my health and my life but they continue. No matter how many times I complain and even when I present screenshot and video evidence they ignore me. As if I am subhuman.

For years on record. But they take tens of thousands of dollars from me and still do today. Subpar service and treatment. Systematic. Pattern.

If I was to write all that they've done to me over the years it would take few weeks of writing and presenting the evidence. My websites and servers at GoDaddy (I belive they are the MITM) have been sabotaged, one by one. I try to run away, and I've tried to move kitcheninstallation.com to another registrar and server but GoDaddy has blocked the transfer and then they hijacked and took hostage of kitcheninstallation.com by blocking transfer for next two months!

The lied to me and said they can't release the block but I've sent them screenshots of GoDaddy's CEO publicly saying they can release it as it was done to others as well. They ignore all that, they ignore me and I've never recovered. Sabotaged into destruction but they are not slowing down. Now I am losing hundreds of domain names, and they keep switching everything around and or charging me double and overwriting my default settings and I am under attack 24/7 for years.

It’s like playing a whack a mole. I’t like playing with street hustler/swindler with 3 card magic trick but they play with many more card and many more players against little immigrant me. It is psychological torture in addition to all else. Endless runarounds. Nightmare that never ends. Going on for 6 years now. It took me years to realize that the only way that all this could be happening and keep happening is if it is intentional.

The moment I realized that I cried. They broke me. I am a broken man. Their agents "offensive security" advertising says (others have shared with me, and I saved the proof and shared it with others.). They advertise "stopping the threat before it becomes a threat." I am in fear. I am no threat to anyone. I am legal and law obeying citizen. Executive entrepreneur, falsely accused, framed and setup for AI they program to go on the offense against which they mark as illegal offender and such.

It is unbearable. It is not survivable. Humans have 98% chance of surviving horrible Covid virus even if they get infected. There is zero chances of surviving corporate powers that set their super hackers and artificial intelligence to target your entire online presence. Non-stop. AI never sleeps. I can present the evidence of that as well.

I can present the evidence that I am being framed and exposed to AI to go on the offensive against me as it is wrongly (and unethically). This is not just about antitrust and discrimination. There are two or more parties involved and this not just about minority my minority and me owned small business but it's about human race and all of the small businesses out there.

I endured so much pain and suffering that it constitutes torture and human rights violations. What's scary is that they are not slowing down. I believe under their offense is the best defense tactic of "stopping the threat before it becomes a threat" they mean my legal case. The only threat I can pose is by huge legal case that I have and evidence to prove it.

Stopping the treat before it become a treat in the form of draining me out of my finances as well. I cannot afford the supper attorney that can take them on. Perhaps some advocacy group, a powerful attorney or worthy firm will read this and help. I will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god!

In the name of justice and in the name of the public interest. The things I've learned during my extensive research, my quest for truth, facts and the evidence, as well as the things I’ve experience and that I am experiencing in real life today are very scary. I really fear them. I fear in my home in Sarasota, Florida, USA.

Someone please help me.

I purchased a website and hosting from GoDaddy.com. I can't load website in Harvest Traffic Coop I get "SAMEORIGIN" error. The websites from GoDaddy can't load into Harvest Traffic Coop but the websites from Hostgator can.

I contacted GoDaddy through chat. They say there is nothing that can be done. Any suggestions?

I have been a customer of Godaddy since 1999. They have hosted our website. In April, we received another email about their services regarding website design, SEO, logo design and online protection. I agreed to have them start an initial design of both the website and logo. I spoke in length about the direction, colors and feel I wanted for the website, as well as the logo. We were wanting an American theme, red, white & blue with stars or flowing flag elements. I explained that we had over 30 years of experience and have been in business since 1999.

After about a week or two we were shown the first draft. What we received was void of an American theme or feel, there was no Red White & Blue, Flag either flowing or stiff. It even stated that we had been in business for over 30 years. Not only did they fail to execute the simple color scheme that we requested, they totally avoided any likeness to the American theme we were going for. Their own representative told me that the website I currently had (that I created) was actually better than the draft that the Godaddy team had sent me.

At this point with the direction and theme totally missed, I decided to ask for a refund. I was told I would be contacted in 2 - 5 days. That did not happen. I called Godaddy and started what I thought would be an easy process getting a refund. I had to call at least 4 times with an average wait time of 60 minutes. It has been over two weeks. I was contacted yesterday and told that a refund (LESS $946.00) would be available.

1. They did not follow simple guidelines when developing the site based on our extensive conversations.

2. They did not follow the color scheme that we had requested.

3. There was no American theme in the design like we talked about and requested.

On every front, Godaddy missed the mark in preparation, execution & design. As an act of good faith and to resolve the issue, I offered to pay $100.00 for the worthless attempt that they did make just to put this issue to rest. When I called again today there was yet another 60 minute hold. I asked to speak the the manager and even the CEO on a couple of occasions.

It seems as though they are able to insulate themselves from people seeking legitimate refunds through a series of excruciating hold times and unanswered promises. I have sent the BBB this information, but I believe this is a much bigger issue than the BBB can truly handle. This is a deep seeded company wide effort to fleece the consumer.

They charged me the incorrect amount. So i cancelled everything to get my full monies back. 5 months later and excuse after excuse. wasted about 50 hours of my time calling, and calling, and calling just to get my monies back. They lie each time i call them. they like to hang up when they do not want to give money back for forced billing...

I have got my Credit card company involved, and with a 3 way call to there corp office, they stated that i would have my money back by a check in one week.

Well one more month has gone by with no money back. I called them and now there new excuse is that i have to wait 90 days. so they lied to my Credit card comp and me at the same time.

We just want our money back from there fake force billing, and never want to return customers monies back. Our credit card company is also working on this why did they say that we would have it back and it never came..

I had changed my cell number which is attached to my Go Daddy account in their two step security authorization which I approved months ago. I attempted to log in to my account but forgot my password. The system sent a code to my now defunct former mobile number as part of their two step security authorization which of course did me no good since that number is no longer in use by me. I contacted customer support at Go Daddy at least three if not four times concerning this issue. My first contact was as I recall the first week of November, 2020.

The CSR was of course not in the USA and had no idea how to solve this issue, each time I called, the CSR was useless and not helpful. Then I sent an email and was sent a link to file a very specific letter that they require, the verbiage of which is provided by GoDaddy, I was to cut and paste and email this message to

[email protected] to request they cancel the two step authorization and send my access authorization code to the email on file, instead of the now disconnected mobile phone number.

I received after a full week, a response that asked for me to send a photo of me (selfie) holding my DMV Government issued photo ID so they can confirm my identity.

On November 25, 2020, I did what they asked and complied with everything they claimed they needed for me to regain access to my domains and my account, so I can update my contact information and my new phone number and new mailing address.

They ignore my messages and continue to be unresponsive.

I now wish to move all my domains to a more trusted and professional domain registry company but have no access to my account nor can I get anyone to work with me.

I am now convinced that I am being ripped off. Many of the domains I have are worth six figures and deal with the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. I am in the process of selling many of these domain I own, but again am being thwarted by their consistent reluctance to communicate with me and solve my access issues.

The only reasonable conclusion is that the company is attempting to confiscate my property and defraud me.

I will accept any help you or anyone can give me to force this issue and regain my accessd to MY Property.

Thank You.

I have several complaints which are raised several times by other customers, however no resolution came up. I had a yearly subscription with Godaddy which is expired on 4.4.2020. Prior to canceling my subscription they sent an email indicating that I have to renew the payment. I have already changed my domain to another provider since I was not satisfied with the provided service for a year. I have decided to go on and move my hosting as well, however prior to doing this I needed to save all my databases and files in one place. But, i could not access my website, it is just simply shut down without notice or anything.

Here are the problems:

1. There was no prior notice from the company stating that I won't have access to my website, neither to its files nor to anything at all.

2. When I contacted the support, live chat (who literally wasted my time, screenshots of the conversation and all the lies will be provided), they said that I have to pay in order for them to open my website and save my files, otherwise they can't help.

3. Then the member of support(Bhaskar) found a "solution" stating that I need to subscribe for 1 month and then they will process the refund, apart from this I will have access to the website for 1 month even after refund and cancellation of my subscription. FALSE PROMISES!

4. Once i processed the payment, instead of charging $9.99, they charged me 12$ in total without any explanation.

5. After activation and having access to my files i have decided to go on with guideline that they provided in the website in order to download my files, this guide happened to represent false information, which was a clear waste of my time!

6. When i contacted the support member( Rohit Kumar), he said that his colleague was wrong and that he will file a complaint against him, and that my website for 1 month won't be accessible even after cancellation

He started lying about guidelines on the website for which clearly i had no access, I was asking one question but he was clearly ignoring me and moving to another thing. Wasting my time all around about everything, Screenshots of conversation is attached!

After contacting CEO of the company via LinkedIn, since my concern was not addressed properly, My Complaint was ignored from his side as well. I can provide the proof and screenshots of all the messages upon request.

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. GoDaddy agreed to issue me a refund. I asked them to not refund it to my old credit card that I had since cancelled, but of course they did. The rep said not to worry, given that credit card company would figure it out and eventually issue me the check. That never happened.

I called GoDaddy several times trying to resolve this and get my money back. I was passed around to about 10 different people and spend at least a dozen hours on the phone total. In the end that said it was my problem and I had to try to get my money back from Discover. I spent about 4 hours on hold with Discover and never got through to them. GoDaddy just repeatedly defaults to “that’s our policy” and they genuinely do not care at all about their customers. I strongly recommend that you do not use this company. Its funny how they always boast about their great customer service where in reality it’s the worst I’ve ever seen.

Also they have stopped my website and it is rendered service unavailible. For the corona virus is thier sico reasons???, if it is, but my site is still not up and has not been working for more than 21 days. Just them telling me that all of a sudden, my email addresses are not paid for, when it is in the contract of them hosting to my website, Its their responsibility for I payed for them in November, and I pay for it yearly. Its only march. So they got their money yup, and then in the middle of the year spring time, they suspended all my email addresses so that their is no inbox anymore.

When I asked them, they said, they suspended it because they are charging money now for all email. Just like that, they dishonered their contract with me. Thanks Trump and your 911 evil plan to destroy America with your scam freemasonic virus. You just destroyed my website. Godaddy bastards, never do no business with them ever, they are con artists, and none of their s**t works. Worst control panel I have ever seen. I told them in a chat, they are fired. And so are you Trump. No, they refuse to give them back. Even after they said for hosting u have free email addresses up to 10 of them.

I had over 15 domain names with godaddy and was a faithful customer for over 10 years. Then, they lied to me when they should be paid, then stole some the domains from me and auctioned the rest off instead of contacting me to work something out . Now they have registered www.cdgems.com and want thousands to get it back. Well, screw you godaddy!!!

Never do business with this unscrupulous company, they will lie and steel your domains also.

  • Dec 25, 2019

I have a few domain names I registered on GoDaddy. Price was resonable and all was going well until the domains automatically renewed. I was charged for hundreds of dollars worth of services I did not ask for. I contacted them to inform them I did not want or need the extra sevices, only the domain names.

They said if I don't make the payment in full they would reposses the domains. I paid for the services I requested only, and they have repossesed my domains. I tried to move them to another company, can't even do that! They've essentially taken them hostage until I pay for a bunch of junk I don't want. Mafia syle.

  • Dec 15, 2019

I turned off auto renew on all of my products so everything went to cancelation. On Sept 13, 2019 my debit card was charged $1526.39 for 3 year renewal of products. I contacted my bank and told them this was not authorized. I also called GoDaddy to say this was unauthorized.

GoDaddy told me that if I cancelled the chargeback they would give me a full refund. On 10/17/2019 my bank reversed the chargeback and closed out the case. I called GoDaddy and they said I would have to wait for the chargeback team to finish their case, but no later than Dec 6.

I asked again if I would get a full refund, and was told absolutely. I called again on Dec 16 and was told that the chargeback team finished the process and all products were back in my account. I explained that I wanted a full refund and was told no, that it was past the refund policy.

I explained it's only past the time because of GoDaddy's own process. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the answer would be the same, no refund.

I began dealing with godaddy seo services after yelp ripped me off. Please see my yelp scamion.

Yelp i dealt with for 2 years took down 21 5 star reviews at one time as well as putting my company j&b hauling a junk removal junk hauling company under junk car buyers, junk yards, used parts sales. Resulting in eating my budget a bunch of unwanted calls costing me money wasting the customers time and making yelp alot of money.

So i switched to godaddy 1-25-19 1st phone call they asked what do you do? I said haul junk to the dump dirt rock concrete rent dumpsters and have a bobcat. They asked do you do residential?

I said yes both commercial and residential. So they put me under residential hauling vs junk removal junk hauling. A search term no one looks for they search junk removal junk hauling. Godaddy refused to change the search term keyword till 7-25-19 when i made them put it in writing no more residential we will put you in junk removal junk hauling. Well it's now 9-12-19 and 0 calls resulted from godaddy seo team.

All calls either found you on yelp whom i havent dealt with in almost 1 yr referrals or regular clientel. I've been here in las vegas doing this work since 11-9. 4500 is too much to take from someone and not do your job your paid for and too much to pay someone to not be seen or found under yourcpwrspective category fo not do business with godaddy seo unless you want to be ripped off

This is your typical scammy online website. The auto-renew seems to turn itself back on. The support doesn't respond to emails. You're lucky to get through to a person over the phone.

Typical coprorate customer service trying to do everything they can to avoid their customers and avoid taking any responsibility.

I sent them multiple emails and checked my account multiple times. Eventually I just reported them to the BBB what else can you do.

It's been more than 15 hours that my websites are broken and down due to the fact that I was unable to update my WordPress and plugins. I contacted their so called professional support on chat and get connected with Neil Jordan.

That person nearly took 45 min and said there is no problem from our end this problem is due to the plugin. Where as it was a fresh installation with a fresh database. He said I have forwarded your report and it will be fixed in other 90min. I gave it 2 hours and checked back the same issue was there.

I checked some of my other sites which are also hosted on same server this problem was still there on my other websites. So I contacted them again this time Mounika p joined in and took a good amount of time saying that 3 of there technical team members are looking into the issue. Then after a long time they said that this is due to the reason that your DNS is configures with some other provider, I said yes it's been with them since the start.

Then they said to update my DNS pointing back to GoDaddy. I knew they were just trying to troll me because that will take up to 48 hrs to configure properly. But still I configure as per their guidance then they said your issue will be resolved within 24 to 48 hrs. I was so pissed off I just asked them either to get your responsible person to send me an email of assurance or refund my money.

Then they said we cannot do that as we are not authorized to email you can have only chat transcript. They are good for nothing I have lost my money and time what should I do now my sites are still having same issue. I had ever right to ask for an assurance email because I have paid them to but they refused.

Then they forwarded my chat to some Ajesh K. Who is their supervisor as per them. He just shut the chat window on my face and left. What the hell I am suppose to do now. GoDaddy is just playing around with their customers money.

We’ve been a customer of Go Daddy for the last 6 years. The last 2-3 years have been awful. Wordpress plugins require updates but if I had 3 plugins to update, the website would go into maintenance mode for up to 20 minutes. On two ocassions the website crashed and needed restored from backups. Eventually I could update 1 plugin at a time.

They were quick to offer their experienced help by buying units of their time to “fix” it for $300-$800. One time I had asked a Go Daddy customer service if they could set automatic Wordpress updates and was laughed at with “Who would ever want to do that?” Last week, I had my site moved to a competitor even with 2.5 years remaining on my contract which I will loose, it’s still better than putting up with poor service.

I now have automated plugin updates. 3 plugins were updated in 5 seconds, not even enough time to go to maintenance mode. The web pages load fast their servers are all using solid state drives. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with our website files or tables.

I prepaid for 5 years of hosting. After about 6 months, my website was going down all the time. They would not correct it. They typically blamed my website for this. I moved hosting to a reliable hosting company.

I requested cancellation and a refund of my unused (prepaid) services. They refused to refund. They only refund prepaid within 30 days of commencement of services. The terms they sent me in the refund discussion were not disclosed at time of purchase and I noticed they are less than one year old.

Essentially, they ripped me off, planned to rip me off by not providing reliable service to begin with and have since implemented a theft policy applicable to all customers.

THESE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES ARE F*CKING SCHEMEFUL! SEVERAL TIMES I HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE LIARS. GETTING MY REFUNDS BACK ON A TIMELY MANNER IS F*CKING UNHEARD OF. I HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET MY MONEY BACK SINCE IT WAS OVER 9 F*CKING DAYS!

THESE POT-HEADS AND DRUG USERS ARE USUALLY THE KIND YOU FIND IN THESE CALL CENTERS. HERE ARE YOUR TYPICAL NAMES: MICHAEL, MATTHEW, BRIAN. THEY WILL DO ANY SCHEMEFUL TRICK THEY KNOW TO PROLONG YOUR REFUND TO ARRIVE. WHY? BECAUSE THESE LOSERS WORK ON COMMISSION, AND FOR $5 THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET THAT JUST TO SUPPORT THEIR F*CKING DRUG HABITS! F*CKING LOSERS!

This company has the worst customer service. They make it very clear that they do not care about their customers. If you do not keep paying them more money to upgrage, they will not help you. I purchased my initial package to build my website through goddady and my first package selection that i purchased described in detailed what i needed to start my online company. However, when i started and had spent time working on my website and had it up and running i ran into some problems and needed their tech support assistance.

When i called them they told me that what i purchased was not for online bussiness even though on their discription, it stated that it was for online business so they sold me another package to upgrade it and i paid them more money to get into the supposely right program. I paid more money becuase i did not want to lose what i had already built, it had taken me a long time to create it. When the problem was not fixed after i paid them more money to upgrade my package, i called again and again they told me that i did not have the correct package for an online business and they wanted more money to upgrade.

At that time i was very upset and told them i was not going to pay more money because i had already spoken to a representative about my issues and he explained to me what i needed to do to fix the issue and which i did. Insstead of them working with me and trying to help me, they asked me if i wanted to delete the website without any consideration of all the time i spend working on it. If this company does not collect money from you, they do not help in anyway and they clearly do not care about having good customer service with their paying customers. All they care is making a sales. Goddady's representative obviously work on commission because they are very well trained to keep selling you package products and keep taking peoples money.

This company is a fraud and their package discriptions are missleading. This company is expensive and their representative are very careless and inconsiderate. All they care about is keep making sales.

GoDaddy charged me over $3,500 for web design and hosting, and now, one full year later, they still do not have a website completed and are charging me for another year of hosting, even though they never completed or activated a website to begin with. I have filed a lawsuit against GoDaddy today regarding this matter. I will never again use them or recommend them to anyone else.

I am filing this BBB complaint because of Godaddy hijacked my domain names. On June 27, 2018 I noticed that three of my major domain names no longer connected to my servers. To my surprise, when I called Godaddy customer services, I was told that for some reason they decided to take away my domain names due to the wrong whois records. I was also told that I was contacted by Godaddy via email on several occasions. When I looked at my email box, I only found commercial solicitation emails that are sent to me on the daily basis from Godaddy, but not a single email in regards to updating whois records on the domains that Godaddy simply hikecaked from me. The domains Godaddy took away are: PHENOBESTIN.COM, MITNUTRA.COM and SHOPPHARMACYCOUNTER.COM, of which “PHENOBESTIN” is my registered USPTO.gov trademark!!!!

These domains is my family's income. I’ve been operating PHENOBESTIN.com for around 8 years!!! My registration expiration date for the domain is in 2022!!! Godaddy shady practices are causing my business to fail. I am facing a financial and emotional damages on the daily basis!!! When I called Godaddy, on numerous occasions, customer service reps are telling me to write email to [email protected] and there is no way to get in touch with anybody at this department. I was also told that I have to wait for them to get back to me. NOBODY RESPONDS!!!! I find it ridiculous. Domain names are like personal properties. It feels like someone came to my house and literally “evicted” me.... That’s whats going to happen to me soon, I will lose everything if I don’t get these domains back.

I don’t think that Godaddy has legal grounds to act in such aggressive way against their customers!!! Also, from legal point of view, behaving this way based on sending some email is illegal!!! Godaddy should have gotten in touch with me one way or another. Godaddy has no problem finding me when it's time to pay them or send me spam emails, offering me discounts…. Somehow this time Godaddy was not able to contact me (convenient).... When it comes to domain names, I should have been informed of this decision way before Godaddy took action. Certified letter, phone call, anything other than some spam email that never even arrived at my inbox!!!!!! All my information is with Godaddy. I am one phone call or text away. This is THEFT!!!! I want chamber of commerce to act!!! Godaddy should not be practicing and racketeering people of their domain names!!! I am a victim now!!!

  • Jun 10, 2018

Godaddy canceled my domain and hosting without notice, and then demanded $200 to put my website back up. Godaddy workers must be on commission now, lol. Godaddy is NOT the cool company they use to be. Godaddy has 220 complaints, my God why would anybody support Godaddy? Lucky Google is coming into the Godaddy market and people will not have to put up with Godaddy's fraudulant business practices!!!!

I have been a loyal customer of GoDaddy for over 14 years UNTIL TODAY. I called their customer service dept this past evening/early morning for technical support. I have not been able to access my business account for weeks. Everytime I called the wait time was 30+ minutes. I have a business to run so I try to resolve the issue after my business hours. I finally called GoDaddy at 2:55 am this morning. After being on hold for over 45 minutes a person came on the line. I explained the sign on issues I was having. I was informed by the customer service representative, Amber, who was trying to be helpful but was giving me all the excuses that her supervisor was passing along. Finally stating that a charge was charged back to GoDaddy from my account and I would have to pay for the amount of $157.89 + $50 charge back fee before my account (that was not due for renewal until July 24, 2018) would be unlocked.

I explained that I was sent an email to renew my GoDaddy business account with back in April, 90+ days before my account was up for renewal in July. In GOOD FAITH, I paid to renew my account for two more years, which has been my history for a number of years. Shortly after I renewed my account it was brought to my attention that my account was charged twice by GoDaddy for $157.89. I immediately contacted GoDaddy’s customer service by phone and received a recording that the minimal wait time was 20+ minutes. I then contacted GoDaddy via email from my GoDaddy business account repeatedly and received no response. After waiting for GoDaddy to respond to my emails for several days and receiving no response to my dispute about being charged twice, I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. NOW, after spending almost two hours on hold and intermittently speaking to Amber and her supervisor, Nada Baya, I was informed that my account would be locked until I paid GoDaddy for the duplicate charge of $157.89 (that my bank reversed) + $50 charge back fee. Mind you, I still have until July to renew my account, plus I pre-paid two years renewal in April, 2018 (90+ days in advance) and was double charged.

GoDaddy didn't reach out to me to let me know they were going to lock down my account. I kept getting messages that my username and password were incorrect, and when I would put in for a reset to be sent to my personal account, I wouldn't get the password reset email, which is what prompted the call to GoDaddy this morning at 2:55am.

I was on the line for the first phone call for a duration of 1:46:47 hours and GoDaddy expects me to pay them $200+ for THEIR MISTAKE and they are penalizing me by holding my account that is not only paid up through mid-July 2018, BUT ALSO paid up with my payment from April 15, 2018 until July 24, 2020. They want me to give them the additional $157.89 that they duplicate charged me + $50 "to make them whole."

Once again at 9:40 am, I called GoDaddy's "BILLING DEPARTMENT" this time, to try to resolve the issue to get the hold taken off my account After speaking to Robert, and then COLTON Z., another supervisor, GoDaddy maintained that I did't follow the proper channels to resolve the issue before turning over the issue to my bank and therefore they were not willing to budge until I paid them the duplicate charge back + $50 their account was charged for the charge back. They asked me what address I emailed to. I told them I would like to tell them but I don't have access to my email account. I explained to them that I do not have time during my day to spend hours on the phone to no avail and I prefer to email. Then they reprimanded me and tried to say that my email didn't go to them and that I charged myelf twice when I renewed my account and they weren't going to budge on unlocking my account. They have over 14 years of my business data that they are holding hostage for $200+ of my money that they are NOT ENTITLED to have. I have been a loyal customer of GoDaddy for over 14 years and I believe I am being taken advantage of for acting in good faith to renew my account. I consider the actions of GoDaddy described above to be deceptive and fraudulent and I want to make other business owners especially mature female business owners aware of GoDaddy's deceptive and fraudulent treatment as described above.

Paid almost 2k for a web site design several months ago. They sent me back a design that was horrible. Looked like a first grader designed it. I tried to call back several times. They have not done anything except avoid my calls. The phone system they have is impossible to speak with someone. I have emailed several times to demand a refund. They will not respond. Do not use them! you will be sorry!

When using BigDaddy shopping BE CAREFUL - VERY CAREFUL. I ordered a Domain name on Christmas Day 2017, the price was $44.95 for a one year subscription. There was a problem with the shopping cart. Everytime I tried see what I ordered, it would just give me the total charge. I thought I ordered three domains, but when I selected process order, I was shocked to find that only two of the domain names were registered AND ONE WAS CHARGED FOR TWO YEARS!!! So not only did I not get to see a detailed summary the sucker punched me by defaulting a 2 year order. They advertising $44.95 yet they defaulted me to two years. I called customer service and they said they could not refund me and could not make any compensations for good customer relationship. I requested to speak with a customer manager. After waiting 30 minutes online, a customer manager. CHRISTY, came on the phone. She was the most RUDE, UNSYMPATHETIC, DISCOURTEOUS SUPPORT PERSON, I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. She refused to give me the contact person of her supervisor. She refused to give me a copy of the recorded session unless I was able to get a court ordered subpeona. She refused to give me the email address of the Vice President of Customer Service. She refused to give me the email address of the Company President. She was a solid wall of "NO" Basically, the buck stopped with her, and there was nothing I could do about. As terrible as it was being fleeced by Big Daddy, dealing with such a RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS customer support person made the whole experience so much more unbearable. T

Godaddy used to be a good hosting company until they decided to take advantage of people and stop issuing refunds past 60 days. Our client spent $1200+ for office 365 and cannot use it for her business. She could not get a resolution on getting it to work correctly for her business, so we requested a partial refund since she has only had it for 3 months. THEY WILL NOT REFUND A SINGLE PENNY BACK TO HER ACCOUNT. I mentioned how their new policy of issuing no refunds is killing their reputation (1 star reviews everywhere you look) They said that's not their problem and the "supervisor" would not offer his last name. Godaddy is now another pathetic waist of business space. DO NOT PAY UPFRONT FOR ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS BECAUSE EVEN IF THEY DON'T WORK... THEY DON'T CARE.

  • Nov 28, 2017

Considering the amount of Godaddy promotional emails, I missed a renewal notice that was important. Less than 45-60 days later I discovered the mistake for (4) domains with the .beer domain. I had to pay $400 to get my own domains back! That is a total ripoff and should not even be legal. I can see a $25 dollar reinstatement/reactive fee, but $100! Give me a break.

I do not believe in "more" government regulations, but the government needs to look at this, and other domain registration services, as they should not be allowed to hold your domain hostage when you were the person who registered it in the first place. What a total scam. And I couldn't even transfer them to another service. I would have to pay the fee just to get them back.

On 09/03/2017 Ana Leticia F. Rajao 480.366.3344 ext. 57622 from GoDaddy -Phoenix AR. called me to offer a better upgraded website with a cheaper hosting rate since I've been a longtime customer. She said she wanted to reduce my current rate from $89.95 to $59.95 immediately for current month while building me a new website.

Instead my checking account was charged $195.10 which overdrew my account and leaving my car payment un-paid. Over the next couple days she said she refunded me but my checking showed they still owe me $97.55.

Next Jason, ext. 57640 tried to help me and was very helpful and said his supervisor would call me in 30 minutes to straighten things out. That was three days ago, still waiting for call.

I called Jason (very helpful) again Monday 10/9/17 who got me connected to the supervisor Justin M. who was very un-helpful. He claimed they’d given me 1 free year and that was the mix-up. I received nothing for free ever from GoDaddy. I’ve wasted six days trying to resolve this. What would you do?

I found a domain name I was interested in purchasing for a blog and noticed the current owner isn't doing anything with it, so I purchased Godaddy's domain purchase service for $70. This service supposedly entails Godaddy approaching the current domain owner to see if they're willing to entertain an offer.

Well, the only time Godaddy contacted me about this service was an email from an Erica Campbell stating that my offer wasn't likely to be accepted and I should raise it (Note: they receive a % of the eventual purchase price if a deal is reached). Miss Campbell has never replied to any subsequent email I've sent or voicemail I left. Regular Godaddy customer service agents are useless because they state this department is some obscure back office team they have no dealings with. (Red Flag)

In short, Godaddy took my $70 and ran leaving me with nothing to show for it.

I keep getting billed for an account I set up for a customer MANY YEARS ago. I had my credit card attached to this account, and even though it has expired, they are manipulating the expiration date and charging the card over and over, year after year. My client has sold the business I set this up for, I no longer have access to this account, and GoDaddy won't quit billing me. This time for over $200!

Last time this happened the guy said he couldn't remove the only CC on the account, but he did something so it wouldn't bill again - not true, here I am again in the same spot. I'm on hold with GoDaddy right now, the girl has already told me she can't remove the charge - this is outragious! AND A BLATENT RIP OFF.

  • Sep 12, 2017

You see there ads all the time godaddy.com for a domain name Spent 110 . Then did not get their renewal notice as I was on vacation A year later over 380 dollars charged my credit card without my permission for services I did not request. Called customer service and they refused to remove charges Called my credit card company and they remove charges. Customer service was rude and refused to take charges off, Laughing at my anger I believe others have gone through same experience

Today, I called Go Daddy after being a customer with them since 2003 to have a WordPress transfered from my web hosting account to my client's Go Daddy account. The man at Go Daddy continued go on and on about how I had my customer buy a CPanel Account rather than a WordPress account. I told him I just wanted to move the site over like I had done with their help in the past. Instead of doing as I asked, he continued to yammer on and on about the WordPress dedicated hosting.

I finally relinted and said fine. Instead of doing a change to the client's account, he reinstalled CPanel on my account which erased all of my sites along with all my clients' sites including the site that was going to be put on the client's account.

Even though several times in the past, Go Daddy has reinstalled sites for me after plug in mishaps, now all of the sudden I'm told they don't do any backups of their servers and all they could retrieve for me was databases to all the sites (actually not all) the sites they erased. And that they would give me three years of hosting on them. Like that's supposed to soothe the fact they completely blew up my livelihood because the sales person wasn't paying attention to what he was doing.

Then, I am on the phone with a technical support supervisor who was in a big hurry to get off the phone, even though he could see I was having problems getting pictures uploaded (again) and trying to put a site back together. He couldn't care less. Stu was more concerned that he was 'wasting' so much time with one customer rather than helping fix the mess his company representative did in the first place.

Here it is 11 hours later, no client sites work, not even the original one I called about and I have had the following occur:

They refused to let me speak to anyone in corporate whatsoever, even though I've been a customer for 14 years.

Everyone I've talked to since Stu has been a complete jerk on the phone and refused to let me speak to a manager.

Even though in the earlier call with a tech (Gavin) they have already reneged on a decade of free upgraded hosting (which was promised by Gavin)

Long story short, beware! Do not go to this company for anything. They may have inexpensive hosting, they think nothing of flaming your sites and then leaving you to clean up their mess with minimal help or assistance. They do not value any customers - not even long-term customers at all. Why give your money to this company when they don't support their products or fix messes they create.

I am a web designer and webmaster so I shutter to think what people who have zero experience with websites must go through when dealing with this company.

CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE - HIGH POTENTIAL - THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS HAVE BEEN USED AND ABUSED FOR MILLIONS BY GODADDY UNFAIR AND HIGHLY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES THAT ARE OUTRIGHT FRAUD.

GoDaddy is notorious for trying to piggyback items to put into your cart. I've been a customer for over 15 years and normally watch it very closely. Somehow a $59 order for Linux Web Hosting with cPanel wormed its way into my cart in December 2015 without my concent or knowledge. The Web Hosting also auto-renewed in December 2016 for $99.00. NEITHER CHARGE WAS AUTHORIZED.

To my knowledge I did not order the service, nor did I select or request to auto-renew. I specifically checked all of my 30 domain accounts to ensure nothing was on Auto Renew.

The fact that I had web hosting at all was unknown to me until they updated their web portal where it is better displayed. I switched to the old portal, and you would never know the product was lurking in your account unless you directly went to the Web Hosting department to check.

I contacted Todd on 07/18/2017 at 4:03 PM and spoke to him for over 30 minutes. Todd verified that the cPanel and Linux hosting had NEVER BEEN ACTIVATED, much less, used. He still , however stated he could not issue a refund as their 30 DAY REFUND POLICY had expired.

I called on 07/20/2017 requesting to speak to a billing supervisor and had to speak with "The Handler" Sally for 15 minutes who wasted my time by trying to NOT connect me to a supervisor as I had requested at the beginning of the call. Finally, after she was successful in wasting my time and making me upset, I INSISTED that she connect me with a supervisor, and she contacted to Jenna, a "Billing Supervisor" with a totally smart Alek, standoffish and berating attitude. She did begrudgingly offer me a pittance of $30 refund of the $160 they stole from me, which was not acceptable. Her condesending attitude made me sick at my stomach, and I will probably suffer from irreversible mental duress the rest of my life as a result of her abuse.

I've never encountered such a rude and inconsiderate person in customer service, and certainly did not expect it from a company with the size and stature of GoDaddy. It an admission of guilt, of an irreputable company, when the sales and service agents do everything they can to try to keep you from speaking with a supervisor.

GoDaddy’s unscrupulous CHURN AND BURN business practices are immoral and unethical.

I would be delighted to participate or initiate a discovery or Class Action Law Suite with an interested Attorney.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

I am outraged! Godaddy Online storage server transfers 70% of my files back to my local computer with 0 bytes. I had a server crash and need ALL of them not just some of them. The work order has been open 4 weeks now. I have received 2 form emails from [email protected] stating it is being worked on. Tonight's sales/technical phone support rep was condescending, flippant and arrogant. They aren't all as unprofessional as him though. I want to know if they have a failed or intermittent server (hardware) issue or are my files really lost. I am paying for a service I am not getting. I was told I was getting what I paid for and that I'm paying for them to troubleshoot why their server isn't working. Absolutely outrageous!! Why can't I get through to someone with knowledge of why this work order is still unresolved? Their estimate of 5-10 business days has turned into a month and still no end in sight.

  • Jun 12, 2017

These "GoDaddy" parasite scammers have deliberately failed to give me proper notification that my old credit card information needed to be updated so that they could take down my sites and demand $253 for each one to restore them. These were sites that I was paying approximately $10 - $15 / mo. hosting fees for. They have even used terms like "...getting my businesses running again..." proving they understand the magnitude of the damage they're trying to do to me to force me to pay their ransom.

They claim they have to "rebuild" and "recover" my site content 14 CALENDAR DAYS AFTER "REMOVING" FROM iNTERNET and this is "a lot of work" This is their excuse for demanding huge recovery fees.

They had no right to "remove" my sites in the first place and if they're going to run this hostage / ransom scam they could easily "remove" (deactivate) sites with a click or two and also reactivate sites with a click or two. This huge co. runs fraudulent predatory scams against its own customers to make tons of extra $$$.

They had me on hold for 3+ hrs. waiting for answers to simple questions like - When did you "remove" the site from the internet? They clearly stated there was "... no reason to notify AFTER the sites were "removed" that they had done this because they had sent me emails prior to the "removals" indicating that the domains had expired or hosting renewal payments from my old credit card had failed. They also stated when I asked when they had called me or sent me emails notices with urgency in the subject line and they said "..we don't have to call you...." and repeated that they had sent me many renewal notices. Yes they did as they have been sending me about 15-25 email messages per week for the last 12 yrs. or so. If they didn't intend to hold my sites hostage they would have simply called me or sent me urgent looking email messages or at least put something like URGENT ACTION REQUIRED or PAYMENT FAILURE or any of the other headers used b every legitimate companies in this business and every other business.

This is how they thank me for spending thousands of dollars on their services over the years. On my last call disputing their hostile predatory practices and demanding to speak to a supervisor they refused to let me claiming I had already talked with supervisors and if I wasn't ready to pay all the fees (ransom) right then there they would end the phone call - which they did.

When I asked for name of Dept. Head of Sales / Customer Support Dept. the rep said her supervisors were not available. When I repeated I wanted name of Dept. head she told me to go to website and "Organizational Chart". I told her there is no such chart she said "I never told you there is an Organizational Chart I never used those words" This is just one example of the hostile treatment the co. inflicts AGAINST ITS CUSTOMERS.

  • May 5, 2017

Charged me for renweal of an old unused website and refused to issue refund - they stated there was a "120 hour" time frame for refund request or the end renewal. Problem is that by the time the charge is available on credit card statement the time has passed and they have scammed you out of the money. They also set everything to "auto renew" to steal people's money...why not have it default to "off" and let person decide or choose to turn auto renew on??? Why?....because they are scam artists that take money unknowingly from people and refuse to make good on a bogus charge.

Go anywhere else but GoDaddy.....they are terrible and will not listen to reason once they get your money!

  • Apr 10, 2017

So, I did business with GoDaddy for quite some time. They were actually barely tolerable for some time, but recently they have become very difficult with regard to service and billing. Quite a few months ago, after a number of sessions where their customer service people jerked me around a number of times, I terminated my association with GoDaddy. It was extremely difficult to have GoDaddy stop hosting a number of my websites and to have them give up their hold on those domains. I received an e-mail long ago stating that I was completely done with them. Lately, they just decided put my billing back into operation (after supposedly purging it from their system) and to bill me $45.25 for domain renewal and Privacy & Business Protection for a domain that I don’t own and don’t host at GoDaddy. When I called GoDaddy, they refused to refund the money to my card, wanted me to put even more security on my non-existent account (making it much harder to cancel), and then repeatedly refused me access to a Supervisor. I view this as Theft of Services and fraud and will continue to post this summary on every complaint website that I can find.

  • Mar 17, 2017

Because of their billing system, and the inability to use a back up form of payment that I uploaded, they literally deleted my website and all of its content over 3 years, for the non-payment of $9 from my monthly fee. No phone call, no letter, no nothing excepts emails which I found after the fact because I get so much spam and marketing junk from them. No I have to start my entire website over again. 100+ articles, interviews, etc. One thing is for sure - I won't be using them any longer.

  • Feb 9, 2017

I purchaseda package which included a Domain name and the building of a website. It was a new property and I wanted to secure the domain but also get a year under my belt before I built the website with godaddy. They called me once every couple months, are you ready to build the site, i would reply not yet waiting to see trends etc for the property. Friday Feb.3rd they called me and said we need you to re up your Hosting you are almost out of your first year. What??? I havent even got a site yet how can you be starting my time for HOSTING???

Three people later, got nowhere, their intent is to keep my monies for no services rendered and have me pay for an additional year now. NOT GONNA HAPPEN,. Do not use GoDaddy.com if you can help it, if you go to the net and google godaddy problems or ripoffs you will see THOUSANDS of people who have had similar and worse situations where GODADDY kept their monies and did not deliver any service. Amazing that a company this size could have such a Shady way of doing business. I never imagined in my wildest dreams they would rip me off!

I spent over $1800 for a custom designed ecommerce website from goDaddy. After 2 months worth of going back and forth to try and get them to create BASIC things for example: what text or pictures should be in the front page. Because of the poor quality of service and design, I requested a refund. They say I am not eligible for a refund.

This is their return policy:

Professional Web Design Services

Web Services: 30% cancelation fee when in progress, non-refundable once complete

This project was NOT completed. I did NOT sign off on it or give my verbal agreement. I even offered to pay the cancellation fee, but they wouldn’t accept my offer.

According to their contract, which I did NOT sign, this is the definition of "Complete"

Completion of Service. Publication of your Design is acknowledgement of your satisfaction with the Services provided to date and releases us from any obligation for further revisions or alterations at that time or until the next Update Minutes are initiated. You also acknowledge and agree that once your Design is published, you will not be entitled to any credits or refunds for any reason including, but not limited to, dissatisfaction with your Design.

They are claiming that when they posted the new website in a non searchable sub-domain for me to review for changes, that that is what they call "Publication of your Design" and once that occurred, I was not eligible for a refund.

I have the emails from our correspondence.

  • Dec 17, 2016

All I will say is pay attention every month to your Godaddy account, because they will enter you into an auto renew program without your approval and bill your card. I will be taking all 18 names to another vendor next billing cycle.

GoDaddy has been what I recommend to clients for hosting for over 6 years. 1. User friendly interface 2. Excellent support 24/7 3. Fair practices I was criticized by many for this preference who hated Godaddy. I did not let that influence me. I was happy w mine and my clients experience w godaddy.com Recently The worlds largest so-called domain and hosting provider has become worse than Comcast to deal with when it comes to financial or customer service needs. One of their management staff informed me that their new policy makes it where they have no ability to contact in anyway the people who set their policies and guidelines. No contact. It is a new rule. The reason I was given was that the refund rate was too high and I'm not making this up or giving you the short version these are all exact words. They essentially have now stolen over $2000 from one of my clients with no intention of resolving it and in fact made it very clear, that there was no possibility I resolving this matter even though I have it recorded that they both agreed it was completely wrong morally. Shame on you Godaddy

  • Dec 7, 2016

A year or so ago, GoDaddy called me up and offered me a “deal” on their hosting service.

It was a good discount if I signed up for 5 years.

No mention of any “gotcha” conditions.

Well, things changed, and another company purchased the domain from me.

We went through the entire back-and-forth transfer procedure.

So, today, as I was checking my account for something else, I was surprised to see the site listed as “..up and running with no issues”.

I called to see what was going on, and after about ten minutes mealy-mouthed answers to my question, it was finally revealed that they keep the entire 5-year payment if you cancel early! About $300 down the drain.

The guy did say a number of times that “It’s in the contract”, to which I replied that it was still a lousy way to do business.

Bottom line – If GoDaddy calls trying to sell you a long-term discount, tell them to get lost – or, better yet, just don’t bother to answer when you see their caller ID!

Here are some reasons why I recommend you choose a web hosting service other than Godaddy, in the order that I discovered them through my own experience.

1) It's NOT easy to use. Even though I was an experienced web master who'd successfully managed my own site with three previous web hosting services just following the basic directions given me by my hosts, I had to recruit a more tech-savvy friend who spent a considerable amount of time online with Godaddy tech support in order to get my site uploaded and on line.

2) I hadn't realized until I signed on that Godaddy had such a sleazy reputation, in large part because of its tasteless and exploitative ad campaigns. It really wasn't something I wanted my site to be associated with but after all the trouble I and my helpful friend had gone to to get my site running there I thought I'd just leave it and that no one would know unless they looked it up in Whois.

3) Godaddy reels you in with a cheap up-front price but then tempts you with add-on offers. I signed up for their SEO service, which not only didn't help my search engine rankings but was far less user-friendly and had far less useful features than the free webmaster tools offered by the major search engines themselves.

4) During all my times with previous web hosts, my site always came up on the front page of all search engines when you did a search on the main relevant key words for it. During my time at Godaddy this advantage vanished. I don't know what it was--maybe the search engines didn't like Godaddy, or the fact that I was using their SEO tools, or that being with Godaddy exposed me to malware and hackers in a way I hadn't been vulnerable before. More on that in a moment.

5) I noticed that when I went to check on my site, especially in the afternoon, it seemed to be down an alarming amount of the time. When I tested it on DNS propagation checkers it was always down somehwere in the world. Again, this has NEVER happened to me with any other web host.

6) I first noticed through Google Analytics that my site was being regularly planted with all sorts of redirects. At first I didn't know what all those weird page URLs were that were showing up in my statistics (the fact that Google Analytics didn't explain and just suggested I filter them out didn't help.) Finally I got a messaage from Google that my site was banned because of prohibited content. That's right, someone had redirected my site to porn. I had to delete all my files on Godaddy and upload fresh ones, then resubmit my site, which to this day hasn't recovered even the dismal rankings it had before. I got in the habit of checking Analytics every morning to see if new malware had been planted, and sure enough, every couple of days I found a new redirect and had to delete and replace all my files on the Godaddy server, increasing my site's down time even more.

7) Recently Godaddy announced it had "partnered" with Sitelock to offer a new layer of security, again for an additional fee (about the same as I was paying for web hosting itself.) I bit. And wouldn't you know it, the amount of malware on my site INCREASED while Sitelock was supposedly scanning my site and automatically deleting all malware while protecting it from new hacks, all the time happily telling me on my Sitelock dashboard that all was well and no problems had been encountered.

When I tell you that I stayed with Godaddy for SEVEN YEARS, you will probably gasp and tell me I'm crazy. I know. I don't know what caused my inertia except that I was busy with other things and I guess I was just waiting until I heard of a better web hosting service before I jumped ship. I'm not sure whether or not my current host is an improvement, other than the fact that I was able to successfully transfer my site within about ten minutes after reading a few basic instructions, just like old times. Also that last time I looked it was propagating all over the world with no glitches or down time.

Maybe Godaddy's too big to live up to its responsibility to keep its clients' websites safe and fully functional, or it's become too big a target to fight off all the hackers. My advice is to do your research and pick a web hosting service with a good reputation for customer service, user-friendly interfaces and a serious attitude towards keeping up with the challenges of online safety.

BEWARE!!!!! Do not EVER use GODADDY.COM. They are frauds and will take your money without providing product. You will pay mega bucks to design a website with them and then they will promise your site will go live in 24 hours. It doesn't, it NEVER goes live but they took your money for it and will ask for money to go live. DONT FALL FOR IT, they are cheats and thieves!!!!

I've had Godaddy rip me off so many times now it's ridiculous. If it weren't so difficult to move providers and I wasn't deadlocked into a massively long contract I'd be long gone.

They auto bill you for things, they call all the time to upsell you and they absolutely refuse to refund you even when they agree to it in writing. This is the third time with that.

I was told I could upgrade my email to 2gb. I have a lot of accounts with low space , so I went for it like a sucker. After it was complete, I saw it was 2gb TOTAL, not per account as I was sold. This was actually less space than I had before for FREE. Any reasoning person should have seen this was not what ANYONE would want. In their defense, I think the customer service rep was just as ignorant about it as anyone. Maybe she assumed it was 2gb per account also. In any case, I immediately cancelled and asked for everything to be reversed. She said I'd have to do that myself, but that once I did, I'd receive a refund. Of couse, the refund never came. I disputed the charge.. which was for over $200 and they actually fought it and refused to refund... AGAIN.

If you are currently handcuffed to GODADDY, I feel for you. If you are considering going with them, for the love of god DON'T DO IT!!! Once you're there they do all they can to lock you into contracts and then treat you like absolute crap. I'm really consideriing walking away from them and all the money they took out of me by auto billing and other devious methods and just suing them. I'm sure there would be plenty of others to join in a class action suit.
