Godaddy advertsises 99.9% uptime but that is a blatant LIE! My server crashed unexpectedly and everything stopped working. It was down for 19 hours, and their support was of NO use. I had to wait till the next morning, I tried to use the live chat but they disconnectedme. I then called and wasted another hour of my time trying to figure the issue out. It has been 4 DAYS and not a single solution has been reached. I even told them I would file a lawsuit but they don't care because they must believe they are too big. Well unfortunatley they are stuck in some sort of lala land. They advertsie the best services but in reality their services suck.

I run a website and application development company and having my website down for this long means my business can not function. Luckily I was able to find a 10x more reliable company and we partnered with them so I ended redirecting my domain (www.bestappdevelopmentusa.com) to our new webstie and server. This company falsely advertises and offers terrible support. I am glad I am working with this new company as they were able to help me figure out my issues and even partnered with us to help us provide our customers the same great service they offer us. You see the ads for godaddy? RUN they lure you in with false pricing and claims and then screw you over every chance they get. I have lost well over $17,000 because of their imcompetence and they just don't care.

Go daddy recently auto-renewed my domain names even though I didn't want them. They sent emails prior to the renewal but they all went to my spam folder (even though every other email i've ever gotten from them has come to my inbox). When I finally found the charges on my credit card statement, I called them and said I didn't want the renewal, but they said they couldn't refund because I was beyond the 5 days that they give for me to contact them for refund (Of note, I was originally told over the phone when I obtained the domain names that I would be able to call at any time to cancel they renewals and would get a pro-rated refund). How can I contact them within 5 days if I don't know it has happened? Furthermore, the charges were an astronomical amount, way more than I was originally quoted for domain names. AND, there is no breakdown in my account of what all of the charges are for and Go Daddy couldn't give me that information when I called. I have 9 domain names and I was supposed to be charged $10 per domain, but got a bill for $620. When I went back to my junk folder and read the emails, they stated that my credit card was expired and couldn't be charged for the domains, so even if this had made it to my inbox, I probably wouldn't have taken action because my card was expired. However, apparently, I had another card on file. Hidden costs, inconsistent information by phone versus internet, poor customer service....How is it that companies like this survive in the marketplace? If you have a product that people really want, you don't have to trick them into paying you.

Beware of using the scammy Godaddy Domain Buy Service. It is truly the worst experience I have ever had while selling a domain name. They contacted me about a month ago and asked me to sell a name I've had for years. They told me I would have the money from the sale deposited into my account in a few days once the buyer paid. The buyer paid and weeks later I still do not have my money. On top of that multiple department heads and supervisors lied to me and told me multiple dates I would be guaranteed to have my money by. After calling 5 times today and being totally fed up - they continued to assure me not only would I have my money but they promised it would show up in my account by close of business today. Big Surprise, they LIE!!! It's close of business and no money arrived. I called my bank and they said there is not even any pending deposits.

I called to find out why it wasn't there and hear their many lies and excuses first hand and I was told by yet another supervisor that everyone was gone for the day and she couldn't explain why I was told multiple times today that they money would be there and it was not there. I asked to speak with the previous supervisor who had swore to me the money would be there and I was told she had no idea when Justin would be in again! I asked them to cancel the sale for me and also to escalate this and I was told I was 100000% out of luck that I could get no assistance or help until monday.

Godaddy suspended my blog. (for no fault of my own) ...

My godaddy account was hacked a few weeks ago from someone in Canada. I called Godaddy, and let them know that I did not buy any domains from Canada. (I am a US citizen) I had to call my cc company to reverse the charges and get another card. In the process they cancelled 4 charges that were for my hosting account on godaddy. ($36 mind you)!

I've contacted the credit card company and explained that those were 4 charges were valid and even had godaddy on the phone with them. MY cc company has paid that back, BUT Godaddy is refusing to turn my blog back on unless I pay them $200!!. Which I refuse to do.

Anyhow, I did not have a back up of site files and am unable to get help from godaddy unless I pay them!

For 1, in my opinion this is Goddaddys Fault!!! A person from Canada hacked my account and they should have caught that and red flagged it from the start!!

2. My cc company has refunded the measly $36 for the mistake made on their part, but GREEDEY GoDaddy wants $200 ($50 for each back charge)

3. None of this is my fault! I have been a loyal customer for 10 YEARS and all of this for $36! I am livid. I am moving all of my 20 or so domains, my hosting, and will never use Godaddy again!

Furthermore, I will be filing a complaint with the FTC, and if there are any class action lawsuits, I will be joining those too!

I signed up for Windows hosting and began to set up my account when the "Help Box" popped up. I explained what I was doing and the rep told me that he recommended Linux hosting instead. He walked me through cancelling Windows and setting up Linux... No Biggie. The problem was I was hit twice for web hosting... No Biggie. I contacted Godaddy and told them just to credit my hosting account. I was told they couldn't do that because it was after 48 hrs. Say What? See... this wasn't some snafu I did in my own. This involved a "helpful" Godaddy rep. I had a Windows hosting account for less than five minutes but I was charged for it even though I was attempting to convert it to Linux. I am convinced that if I originally set up a Linux account the rep have recommended Windows instead. This is a bait and switch scam. They get you to undo what you did thinking the money that is already spent will apply to the changes when it's not. What store keeps your money or doesn't issue you a credit once you return the merchandise unused? Apparently Godaddy does.

On March 17th, 2016 I purchased and paid for a domain from GoDaddy. The domain name was CarInsuranceGuide.net and it had a fixed price which I paid. I agreed to the terms and conditions and paid Godaddy $35.16. After purchasing the domain I spent a significant amount of money having a logo and banner designed for the CarInsuranceGuide.net website as well as 30 articles all written specifically for the website and finally had a web designer build a custom made for my new website.

The cost for all the design work and article content was $442.20 On March 26th the site designer had completed the design and was ready to begin adding in the articles, logo, banners etc so that the site could go live so they requested the GoDaddy information from me. When I logged into GoDaddy on Saturday March 26th I didn't see the domain listed in the domains that I owned and controlled so I called GoDaddy to inquire why it wasn't listed. The GoDaddy representative said that GoDaddy had refunded me the monies on or around march 20th but he could not tell me why I had been refunded. The GoDaddy representative said it was Easter Sunday several departments were closed so he recommended that I call back on Monday or Tuesday when they were at full staff. I called Today Tuesday March 27th, 2016 and spoke to another Google Representative. He also saw that the monies had been refunded but he could NOT definitively tell me why I had been refunded. He said that "his best guess" was that the domain had been put up for sale because it had expired (the previous owner didn't pay the renewal fees so it was put up for sale) and that I bought it. The representative then told me that GoDaddy then sold me the domain and SOMETIME AFTER I PURCHASED THE DOMAIN the past owner contacted GoDaddy and agreed to pay a significant penalty fee to have the domain returned to them. The representative couldn't tell me that is what happened but it was his best guess at why I was refunded my initial $35.16.

Go daddy.com charged me $29.99 a month. DID not tell me about it and just ripped me off. They have been charging me $29.99 a month since july 2015.

I had no idea they were charging me for something called insiders edge.

When I called up, they told me that there was nothing they could do. We are sorry! That is ALL they kept saying.

DO NOT REGISTER A DOMAIN WITH GO DADDY OR GODADDY.COM

They will charge you for SURPRISE things they do not tell you about and then will not refund you.

They got me for abuot $210.

I renewed my domain name and was billed twice. I called to ask for a refund and was told that I would have to cancel my domain name to get refunded. I was forced into paying for an extra year that I did not not want.

Managed hosting account we renewed in may 2015. One day the sites went off. We received only emails to send back money to them, hence we paid the money. Still now our sites are not working, no one is taking responsibility in this case we are loosing our business. The fraud business people from US is making money by simply suspending the sites.

GoDaddy.com

I purchased a domain FashionPoppy.com from Go Daddy. I let it sit and didn't do anything with it because, I was still thining about what I would use the domain for (fashion, cosmetics, blogging, etc.)

I received an e-mail from Go Daddy stating I received a refund months after I had purchased the domain. I went to log into GoDaddy and my account stated that I didn't have any domains. I had purchased a domain and the e-mail forwarding service during an internet sale for .99

None of the customer service people could figure out what the problem was. Some had seen that I indeed purchased the domain FashionPoppy and some didn't see that I had purchased it only that I received a credit return for a domain called FashionPoppy.

One customer service agent had reinstated the purchase and charged the same credit card and promised that "I was good to go." I had to fax a photo I.D. and copy of credit card.

When I went to log onto GoDaddy I was then having troubles with signing on. My password wasn't working. I had even had my password sent to me from their 'forget password' option.

I had to contact Go Daddy again and one customer service agent couldn't find my account. I called right back to get another agent and and he found my account and reset my password. After logging in.. there was no domain listed.

I went onto WhoIs.Net and typed in FashionPoppy.com. That website was sold underneath me. I had purchased it first and within a few days, GoDaddy had sold the website. I have my receipts, I also have screen shots of my transaction and account information. Go Daddy ripped me off and tried to erase my accountn as if I had never contacted them.

I will never go do business with GoDaddy.com ever again. Shameful practices. If it were a computer glitch then they should explain the situation and offer a customer some sort of compensation or a free domain.

You've been warned. Do not purchase from GoDaddy.

I bought five domain names from Godaddy several years ago, and never used them. I forgot I even owned them.

I was out of the country for three weeks with no email and returned home to find a message that Go Daddy had renewed those web addresses for two years, despite the fact that my credit card on file was not the same one they charged -- still not sure how they managed that. I called 11 days after the email was sent and Go Daddy refused to cancel the order saying there was only a 7-day grace period.

I did not sign-up for auto renew that I recall. Apparently it's something automatically done that one has to opt-out. I could really use the $182. I guess the CEO needs a new bottle of wine.
