I first contacted www.zencartfeeds.com for some information regarding Google Feeds for my websites. I took a few weeks before someone finally got back to me. Once they did, they upsold me on having my sites totally redone to improve visablity and make more money. Everything "Scott" or whatever his real name is made a lot of sense so I had him send me a proposal. The cost was way out of my budget. "Scott" told me if I signed up with his hosting company (ZenCartWebHosting) for at least 2 years he would float me the payments on the redesigns and get me up and running right away.
Not having a lot of money and not knowing a lot regarding web design, I took him up on his offer. Things started to go along pretty good until I started asking questions and checking in on the progress he then started slamming me for any questions and belittling me. We had a few heated emails back and forth. Things did resolve.
He got my sites up and running, but denied me access to the CPanels to fine tune the logo design and a few picutes until I was paid off. (understandable). But when I ask him to change them for me I was told I am asking for more than what I was paying for. So they sat there looking half-***** until I could pay him the rest of the money owed.
Once he was paid in full I received access to the CPanels and was told he was at my beckon call. 3 Months into my hosting with his comapny one of my sites went down and was showing error messages. I tried to contact "Scott" to see what was happening and was told "...that I f@#k someting up". I responded that i didn't go into the coding anywhere or change anything. He then responded that if I wanted it fixed it would cost me more money. So I transferred that site to a different hosting company and had someone else go in and fix his mistakes. At that point I should have learned and moved all of my sites.. but I was going to keep my word and use his hosting company for the 2 years I agreed to.
About 7 months after the above incident ALL of my sites went down. I tried contacting through phone and got a busy signal everytime. I then wrote numerous emails to every email I had for his comapnies and finally got a response about a week later. I was told that their server crashed and was attacked. They lost everything that was on them and that if I did not have a back up to my sites, they were gone forever. I have never heard of a hosting comapny that doesn't back up their servers regularly.
Needless to say I lost all of my sites, had to pay someone else to design new ones for me and went back to a reputable hosting company that backs up their servers 4 time a day.
Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money with someone that is reputable and AVOID any of the above companies at all costs! It was a very expesive lesson learned for me... don't do the same!
