I had been viewing dog friendly properties to purchase as our new home in Spain, after quie a few viewings we were shown an apartment with a communal garden space, Enquired were we allowed to walk our small elderly dog in the communal gardens to which the vendor and agent told us yes, based on that fact we placed an offer and a holding deposit of €3000, The next day we found that there were "No Dog" signs placed on pathways and queried with agent to which the reply was, you can walk dogs there, but technically not allowed, after some to and fro with no resolution I withdrew my offer, and asked for depsit refund Received no response, so asked lawyer to request refund, received response from agent saying , no refund as you can warlike Dog there, I obtained a copy of community rules which states, no dogs in garden areas, a clear contradiction to what agent and vendor told me. Phoned YourViva customer services, and explained situation, very sympathetic and would call back to me, No Response, Wrote E Mail to Partner at YourViva,... No response, Wrote e mail to info at Yourviva, ah a response, via telephone and agreement to refund deposit, Phone call later that day rescinding offer to refund but would credit me on a future purchase, Responded with e mail, saying that is forcing me to deal with them and not ethical No response, Went to YourViva offices to lodge complaint, and got response to have meeting with Director of YourViva Had the meeting today at Alhaurin el Grande office, Basically told me no refund, although they contradict themselves on paper yes/no regarding dog issue, and that community rules meant nothing and in their opinion illegal , and insinuated that I was a liar Great service .?!
