I made a online request for a lawyer to defend me in a possible case or charge that might be on my head due to an incident .bard Weinstein was the one who contacted me stating he was interested in the case and had plenty of experience in these kind of situations but needed a down payment on order to start things going .At first he wanted 1,000.00 and I told him I couldn't afford that at the time so he agreed to a 500.00 down payment .
I bought a cahier check for 500.00 plus tax and he came down to work place to receive it and mentioned a email that will come to me,basically a contract they wanted signed from a individual named Michael Pittman .I received this contract in my email later that day and it had a lot of the prices that included a 500.00 payment once a month for up to 2500.00 due the very next month .I had not signed this agreement due to the fact that I want even sure what I was looking at in the whole situation and for me to sign something that had no exact outcome would be foolish as I am waiting to hear from bard about what he had come up with since I put my first payment down ..a whole two weeks roll by and I asked for an update ,I was told by bard that he had sent a email and made a phone call but no response .
I had asked once before the first week as well and he claimed we needed a cool off period to go through before pushing the issue as he says it might anger the policeman or make him claim a harrrassment deal against us..I explained to bard that I really needed to know what was going on if anything so I know to continue payments .I then get a call from Michael wanting an explanation for why I said that to bard and I explained I needed to know what is going on so I know whether or not to continue services and he was shocked to hear that replying what do you mean if you needed our services .I told him there is only one way for me to say it and he just seemed to care about the money and not even about my possible case .
When speaking to bard upon the two weeks I would text him asking about a update and he would reply who is this ? More than once and never seemed to recall who I was or even the small details of where the incident happened at and that upset me like he had no clue what was going on .I then decided to fire bard with a certified letter sent to his firm requesting him to stop any further work and demanded a refund for unsatisfactory work on his end and I also agreed to pay a 10 percent fee for the email and phone call he sent as I requested a copy of the email that was sent the very next day of the first payment .I felt like he put me on the back burner and hadn't done nothing else since and when he realized I was trying to get out of it he than began trying to make phone calls to me and to the officer at the last minute with no further information other than where I started at to begin with stating oh yeah well the officer seemed fuzzy and claimed that pinal county wanted to talk to me not Tempe .
Bard was aware the incident happened in pinal county not Tempe so that was idiotic of him .I stated again that no further action was needed of him as the services were terminated and he simply said to contact his boss and let him know of the current situation of me not wanting to work with them .I contacted michael and explained the same thing to him and he claimed that it's gonna take 10-15 days for them to figure out what work has been done and any remaing funds will be returned and asked for a address as if they didn't have it at all and that's another red flag.so I sent address to him like he requested .3 days go by and I sent another email wondering if they had done anything yet about my refund and he again stated it's gonna take 10-15 days ..on the 10th day I'm irritated and told him that if he doesn't reply with my refund amount in the next 24 hours I will be contacting the bar association about this bizarre episode I am having to go through with this firm .he replied he sent a letter with accounting that explained my 500.00 worth he never mentioned a refund amount ,so I sent another email stating I hope there is a check with it .he replied there is no check all the funds were used and that pissed me off they didn't do anything to help and moved like snails during this whole process and very unsatisfied with these crooks .I will be contacting the bar association about this company they can't just keep getting away with taking people money for work not performed .never trust these people they are scam artists iny eyes .
