Is a fraud, a scam and anti-semitic! i have been writing for yellowpages.Ca and/or yp.Ca for several years and have never caused any problems and have always followed the rules! i also write for yellowpages.com back home in the united states as well and am in very good standing and ovation with them! sadly, back on monday, december 18th, 2017 and on tuesday, december 19th, 2017, yellowpages.com and/or yp.Ca has deliberately and purposely discriminated me and prejudiced me and has illegally removed all of my recent reviews for invalid and untrue reasons.
Their legal department claims that there was a technical error which is not true because after they made out that false claim, they removed even more of my reviews! they are also an extreme racist company who is also anti-semitic who has removed all of my jewish, religious and synagogue reviews as well! when i contacted their customer service department today about their invalid reviews removal system that they have done against me, they claim that i was already told what their position was from their legal team which was nothing, except that they supposedly reversed one of my reviews that was removed and that there was a technical error and/or mistake and that was all!
After all of this unnecessary abuse, i am publishing negative reviews about this disgusting, racist and anti-semitic experience and am enclosing pictures as evidence and am no longer writing reviews for this company! thanks, but no thanks!
Sincerely yours,
Howard paul shore executive, social media writer for google.com, tripadvisor.com, yellowpages.com, yscam.com, facebook.com, better business bureau and other social media websites /hps enclosures: please see the attachments for evidence of them illegally removing my reviews out of hatred and antisemitism for your review and further reference. Thank you.
Yellow Pages UNited has been a scurge on my multiple business locations for years now.
JUST NOW realizing the scam they are running. They klnow exactly what they are doing, are highly deceptive, and in my opinon should be jailed.
BUSINESS OWNERS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
This company produces NO PHYSICAL YELLOW PAGES. They prey on your confusion that they do.
When you call, you will be greeted by a warm nice greeting. It will soon turn ugly and they will not allow you to speak. They will work hard to convince you that YOU are the idiot not them.
DO NOT IGNORE THEIR MAILINGS. They will bill you and charge interest.
BE VERY CAREFUL YOU SAY NOTHING CAN BE EDITED OR OTHERWISE IMPLIED TO BE ACCEPTING THEIR SERVICES.
DO NOT let them try and convince you that you have them confused with another company by saying "You have us confused with someone else. There are many Yellow Pages comapnies". An interesting tactic they use which ironically is precisely the tactic they utilize to hope you pay them.
Their actual address is in Jacksonville, Florida.
I can only imagine the shear number of people that fall for this thinking they are getting a Yellow Page listing. Very sad.
This company provides no functional value from what I can see and is miserable to deal with.
In short: Robert Kern, the sales rep for YP Advertising Solutions signed my name on his electronic device registered to YP, entering me into a 1 year contract with his company, without my knowledge or authorization. He committed Idenity Fraud and I have since filed a report with the FTC and have contacted his employer regarding such crime.
Details: Robert Kern, Sales Rep for YP Advertising Solutions, came to our office to sell advertising. He proposed getting us 183-333 leads (Phone Calls, Texts, Emails, Form Fills) per month for $1000. We told him 2 things (that we explain to every solicitor). 1. We are a seasonal buisness in that we perform Auto Hail Repair. That requires us to move from state to state. We chance hail storms. That is our money maker. So we cannot be tied to advertising in 1 location. Yelp for example, ties you to 1 location for advertising. You have to pay for each seperate location. 2. We are a seasonal company. It typically only hails 6 months out of the year across the US so we do not need advertisiment all year thus WE DO NOT SIGN CONTRACTS for this reason alone. We made this very clear. He suggested we try the advertising for 3 months and if it didnt work, they'd work for 30 days free or we can cancel. I was on a hail storm in Texas at the time he met with my wife (buisness owner) to proceed with what we thought to be a month to month transaction and she gave her credit card for payment. During the next 90 days, my wife was in contact with Robert "Bob" Kern regarding the analytics of the advertising. She mentioned a couple times that the lead generation was just not there and that if they didnt improve, we'd have to end our services and go elsewhere. Never any mention of a contract.
After the 90 day mark and paying $1000 per month, my wife called to end our advertisments when we were told about the contract. Upon seeing the contract (for the first time at this point) we have exceeded the 10 day right to cancel policy. Robert "Bob" Kern stated, when questioned how we got into this "contract", he stated that when my wife paid with her credit card that the "Contract" adopted her signature as an approval of such. Mind you, the contract is in my name not hers. And her credit card is in her name only. It does not make sense does it? And no, this is NOT LEGAL! I checked with my lawyer. Anyhow, all three of us sat down to disguss this and he stated he didn't recall anything regarding us being a seasonal buisness and that we don't sign contracts. Mind you, we have been in buisness for over 20 years. This is our absolute policy for the reasons I specified. There are times we cannot advertise with buisnesses because they want us to sign contracts and we have to go somewhere else. He did tell him this, like we do everyone else. Hence the reason he probably never mentioned the word "Contract". Because we would have to turn him away as well and he wouldnt get a commission. However, he did recall saying to us at this meeting "changing the monthly charge to $300 after 3 months" if it wasnt working out for us. Again, never mentioning "Contract". But it does prove we discussed month to month services and our buisness being seasonal which would require adjustments. But he was adament now about the contract valid and signed by my wife when she paid with her credit card. After the meeting, he did send me a new contract, via docusign to my email for review and signature. The first contract was never sent to my email for review and signature.
Upon reading this new contract for the remainder of our 1 year term (now 8 months) for $300 a month, it included me waiving my right to a class action lawsuit, binding electronic signatures and the sort. I did not sign this contract either. Again, not in the best interest of my company and goes against our buisness policies. So in the end, I filed a Identity Theft Report with the FTC against the sales rep who signed on my behalf, Contacted the Georgia Attorney General and the Colorado Attorney General (where the event took place), filed with the Consumer Financial Bureau, placed fraud alerts on all of my acounts and with the credit reporting agencies and am devoting several hours per day to ensure that this is being reported to all the appropriate authorities and will not stop until a satisfactory resolution is concluded. I am holding Robert "Bob" Kern personally liable for all of this and am seeking justice. I am certainly not opposed in joining anyone in a class action lawsuit. Contact me. I was solicited via cold-call from the sales representative and eventually purchased an annual advertising program from them. They mislead me in terms of what I received in the program. I called in and their representatives were very unhelpful and clearly lacking in confidence to answer my questions and tell me what keywords or landing pages they used. I'm now locked into a very expensive advertisement for a year with absolutely no results. I haven't received a single lead in 6 months of advertising with YP. Please avoid at all cost!”
Additional points:
They signed me into a recorded phone contract without sending it to me despite several requests for the to do so; I asked for a copy 5 times in the last few months and never heard back.
In the billing letter sent to me they used various scare-tactics such as reporting me to credit bureaus etc.
The sales person makes a recorded call, which later is used as a "verbal contract", to threaten my poor client into paying for services already provided by me. Fortunately, we were able to stop payment in time! Yellow Pages Group's "Terms and Conditions" attempts to render its victims completely helpless and vulnerable to unjustified fees and further abuse, even though they cannot deliver what was "sold".
I intend to protect my client from bullies like the Yellow Pages Group. They will not see one cent from me or my clients! I will advise everybody to stay away from this (in my opinion) unscrupulous, and incompetent business. Protect yourself: if they call you, ask them to remove your telephone number from their calling list, and HANG UP!
Illegal 'auto renewals' They will send you what probably looks like junk mail a few months before the one year anniversary. I imagine it might say something like "RENEW YOUR YELLOW PAGE AD NOW!!!". Any reasonable person would assume that absent a response, it will not renew, but no, they have built in somewhere I suppose, verbage that says they can auto renew. They have the back end tied up too, you cant remove the billing from your ATT because ATT says it's a separate company. Yeah, I know the logic is faulty but the entire approach is there to create a Catch 22. Try to call the YP's, forget it, goes to the Phillipines. I spoke to a manager, they cannot do anything, they are there to try to convince you it's a fait accompli and can they pivot to the fact that the yellow pages is already printed and therefore a service already provided.
This company has a Facebook page that advertises free listings for businesses. I already had when I was at the top of the search engines . My business is 20 years old . But the phone number was wrong . When I put in my name my listing came up . I agreed to have someone call me to fix the listing with the correct phone number . But instead they called me to tell me how they could help me make my listing better and charge me for services I did not need . I told him I had been at the top of the search engine for years and I have many customers . Now suddenly my listing is gone , i'm being contacted for sales .
I was called twice this morning and asked to update my yellowpages.com business info. I was told my contract would renew in about 5 months and then I would receive the invoice. I explained to them that I have never had a contract and they insisted I do. They even offered to have the corporate office send me a copy of the recording!
I don't have an account with them and never have. I called the cutomer service number on the website and they said all I have is a free listing for which there is absolutely no cost. I explained about the calls, and they said to ask them for my customer number which they won't have.
I went to Dr. Scharer to lose weight. His sales pitch was great. After I paid the money (very expensive), it all went downhill. I never saw the doctor again, even though I asked to. The girls never had answers to questions, and couldn't agree on what foods were acceptable. Many of the girls seemed annoyed or like I was bothering them with my questions. I was extremely hungry and unhappy. I hit plateau after plateau. To break the plateau, I was instructed to eat ONLY 6 apples a day for three days straight. I did this a lot! This is not a healthy way to lose weight. Lost a couple pounds, not worth the agony. Absoluetly NOT worth the money. This program is not here to help you get healthy, it is here to take your money. DON'T DO IT!!!
