Yahoo, Inc. Reviews

  • May 4, 2021

After being hung on three calls in a row today, I finally called the number on my bank statement. I signed up for Yahoo Local Works, and they took my money, but would not let me update my listing for submission to a bunch of directories. Since that is the entire point of using the service, I wanted a refund, but they won't refund me (No reason, they simply don't feel like it.)

They also submit the billing as a recurring service. That means that I can't even file a dispute with the bank, so I have to eat the $99. The only guy that didn't hang up on me just kept talking over me, so nobody has a clue to the fact that their backend system is having issues, and they couldn't care less. They screwed me.

YAHOO HAS DENIED ACCESS TO OUR EMAILS BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT RECOGNIZE OUR PASSWORD. TRIED TO CHANGE PASSWORD AND THEIR SYSTEM FAILED. HAD OUR "NERDS ON CALL" TRY TO MAKE THE TRANSITION AND WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. FIRST TIME EVER THAT THEY COULD NOT SOLVE A COMPUTER PROBLEM FOR US. I TRIED TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT AND AGAIN THEIR SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW COMPLETION OF THE ATTEMPT. I TRIED THEIR "CUSTOMER SERVICE" NUMBER ON THEIR CORPRATE FACE PAGE AND IT IS NOT FUNCTIONAL. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE OPEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE UNAPPROACHABLE AT ANY LEVEL THAT I HAVE TRIED. WE HAVE SEVERAL DAYS OF EMAILS TO WHICH WE ARE UNABLE TO RESOND BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM.

Originally I called a company called Humaneware to find out why I could not access my yahoo! e-mail account; because I kept a getting an error on my e-mail account. They told me to call Yahho! I looked up the number on google and found a number (800) 318-6467. Called it. They said Hello and I asked them if I reached Yahoo! They replied yes. The operator had a heavy accent. He asked what was the problem. I explained to him I was having problems accessing my e-mail account. He said let me take a look sir and he asked for my e-mail address which I gave to him.

He told me my e-mail looks like it has been compromised and in order for me to fix the problem I would have to pay $299. I said no. He then replies you only have to pay $199 today. I payed him with a check; and then he said I will call you back in ten minutes so I can speak with my technician. After called was ended, 30 minutes later he called back. Adressed me by my name and that he will transfer me to his technician. The technician (also with a heavy accent) informed me that my e-mail is compromised and whomever has access to the account was fixing to expose all my personal information.

He endded the call and 10 minutes later He called back. He replied he could fix the problem by going into the sever and deleting my e-mail account and give me a new e-mail address. He would place safegaurds on the new account. No one would have access. He ended the call to set up new account. Ten minutes the technician called back. Gave me new e-mail address and gave me the yahoo! password to access my e-mail account. Ended the call ten minutesw later called back after placing safegaurds on the new account. His final words your safe now, have a nice day!

In 2015 I reguested to downgrade my account. This company continue to bill me at and I did not discover it until the next year. I called again and was assure that it was a done deal. I then discoved that the were still billing. I called to resolve the situation only to have them susupend my email account because I refused to pay for theor billing error. It was impossible to talk to somone other than a customre service agents who were difficult. They did not seem to comprehend the issue. I still have not been able to resolve the problem. The goal seems to continue to collect money for service that I canceled and have not used and hold my domain and email hostage. The total cost to resolve this issue is under $50. I have been a customer since 2005. I guess they rather lose me as a customer because of a $50 billing error on there part than make it right.

Yahoo, Inc. Is A Major Necessity In Today's World And Is A Part Of My Life!

I have been a Proud, Legitimate Member and User of Yahoo, Inc. for over 10 years and Seriously can Not live without it. Besides paying bills and receiving notifications through Yahoo, Inc., I also send out and receive a lot of important emails.

Since approximately after Christmas of 2017, I have been Unable To Send Out and/or Receive Emails, Period through my email address of: [email protected].

I Never received any notifications and/or letters about anything Negative that I may have done and my Yahoo Account Is Not Suspended!

I am extremely Concerned about my Yahoo Account because How Am I Supposed To Receive My Bill Notifications for My Credit Card, Utility Bills, Cellular Phone Bills, Bank Statements, etc.?

Is This A Punishment Towards ME In Order To Find Myself Another Provider?

I would Hope Not, but I am Not Sure What To Think At This Point!

The Only Reason Of Why I Am Giving You A Five (*****) Star Review is because Your Customer Service Department has Helped Me In The Past With Yahoo Issues and Has Done An Excellent Job!

I am Now Begging You To Please Correct And/Or Fix This Malfunction because I Can Not Go On With My Life Properly Without Yahoo, Inc. Being A Part Of It!

If You would like to contact ME back directly in order to discuss my letter of Very Serious Complaint in further detail, then please call ME on my cellular phone number at: .

You may also email me back at: [email protected] when the email address is functioning properly.

I am more than looking forward to hearing back from You with a Positive Response some time in the very near future.

Several attempts have been made to change and update my mail passwords for two accounts. Yahoo has never registered any change to my password which required me to spend over an hour answering their questions but receiving no help unless I pay $20.00 for their sevice. This charge is for their mistake and is a scam. the yahoo information and help module is to complicated and does not provide answers where needed. You cannot speak to a human via chat or phone consequently nothing is accoumplished unless of course you pay $20.00 to fix their mistakes. Total lack of customer service, a sure way to drive business to another carrier.

I've never played fantasy football for money, so I was excited that I won two of three $50 pools I played. I thought I won $400 for the two 1st place finishes but I was only paid $100 for each win. Here are the game rules and terms:

$50 to enter. Pick players from 3 NFL games. First place wins $100 and the top 10 entries share a $1,000 prize pool. This contest is guaranteed to run even if it doesn't fill. Good Luck!

I've contacted Yahoo customer care 4 times and ech time they stated that all 1st place wins is $100. Really, first place out of 22 people and 1st place wins the same amount as 10th place (10% of $1000 pool) What happened to the $100 for first place? If this is how they operate I suggest a class action lawsuit for fraud and misleading advertising.

I had stored many personal emails and contacts with a yahoo email account for over 11 years. When I tried to log on one day, it would not recognize my password. I tried to follow their prompts to retrieve my password, but no luck. I was shocked to learn that they don't have a Customer Service number where i could speak with a live person. ALL communication is through repetive prompts that led me right back to where I started. I finally received an email answer which began with a paragraph about TOS (terms of service) and that Yahoo reserves the right to terminate the account WITHOUT NOTICE, but no mention of what I wrote. When I appealed this through another email, the answer that they believed that they fully answered the case, but that I was welcome to play around some more through their maze of circular email prompts. It's disgusting that they can delete the account without warning And leave no recourse to get the emails back. I'd even PAY THEM to get them back. Yahoo is unreasonably cruel and harsh.
