I confess,i dont know a lot about Yachts,i wanted to get into it because it seemed fun and i was in the process of buying a Condo in Fort Laterdale and i wanted something that could be a fun amusment to have for me and my family.
I didnt want a big yacht of something like that,i found a modest one,thats how i found Oscar and Yacht direct,i looked on their website and i the wan cought my eye was the Riva Rivarama 44.So i came into contact with Yacht direct,got to meet Oscar and got to see the Yacht.It was a bit smaller than i thought i was going to be but it was still big.
We went and agreed on the advartised price,he assured me that the Yacht was in good condition and i didn't question it,at least he got that right.
So i got the Yacht we agreed on a 2 year payment method for the $550.000 Yacht.
But then a year after i got the Yacht i got some minor problems with it,so i went to get it checked wit an independent repair man.I gave him the deatails that Oscar gave me.
Then the guy asked me if this was the right info.Because the info i gave him didnt match up with what he saw.
So i did some research and i found out something,the yacht he sold me wasnt a 2012 Riva Rivarama 44 at all,if was a 36 ft 2002 Jeanneau Prestige 36 which cost around $118.000.Nearly a Fifth of what i paid.They just put the markings and all that stuff so it looks like it was the 44.
So now im going to sue Oscar for everything that he has.Sure the yacht is good but im not going to pay 5 times the price for something that isnt wort that.
And honestly he sohuld be in jail for this scam.All in all be carefull when you work with that company.
