I've had this service for several months now. It is the worst piece of s**t ripoff service I've ever encountered. For $100/month, which they force you to use by leasing contracts with property managers rather than individual tenants, and tacking it onto your rent, I get "up to" 10 MB/s internet and 480p cable.

I say "up to" because rarely does it exceed 1 MB/s. If you don't have a sense of how slow that is, that is so slow that you can watch pictures load from the top to the bottom, just like with DIAL-UP. They charge $100/month for a service equivalent to something you'd get 15 years ago. They're so cheap that they can't even give you HD cable for ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH. Not only that, they never reply to customer complaints, and never send out techs.

They are running on the exact same architecture as Charter Communications, which I know because that's what every IP tracker associates with my IP address. Their service is just s*. Their customer communication is s*. Their business model is great, because property managers don't give a f* about how s*y the service is because they don't have to use it. Do yourself a favor and avoid any property with Xcelerate as their service provider.

Worst Provider I've Ever Dealt With

Xcelerate Networks is the worst internet provider I have ever dealt with. Not only is the Internet unusable 90% of the day but the customer service has basically told me "We are aware that we have an inferior product, but sorry, you're stuck with us." As previously mentioned, most apartment complexes that are affiliated with Xcelerate require that you use their "service" so there's no escaping once you've signed your lease.

You lose service 9 or 10 times a day. Forced to get service due to apartment complex & using any other cable/internet provider else where is a lease violation. Had problems the first day had to keep unplugging my modem. This is really sad. I saw other bad reviews and thought 1. The problem is probably going to be fixed because this is a lot of people complaining about the same thing. (LOTS OF Outages, bad customer service etc) & 2. This wont happen to me because i will not buy a cheap modem as suggested- i will rent theirs. It is not worth it. I saw all the red flags but thought all "with all the money they make, all the people forced to deal with them because of contracts they have with diffrent apt complexes,

and all of the bad reviews and all the competition out there they would step up their game" i was so wrong. I have never spent time writing a review, but hopefully they will see this and see how sorry the service they rip people off for is a all time 0 on all levels. If you can AVOID. The same thing will happen to you. Guaranteed. I have not met 1 perso ln who has said other wise. Over priced packages, service is sad, brookstone apartments, in Birmingham,AL is how i even heard about them . Honestly would prefer . Or climbing a tree and randomly try to hook up my own tin foil satelite dish and try to connect , hey that would be better service. I wont even start on the cable.

Avoid if your not forced into it!

If you are looking for fast, reliable, and affordable internet service, look elswhere - cause this aint it. Apparently their business model is to move into an apt. complex and get a monopoly on internet service. Since the landlord is their customer and not you, your screwed. I went on vacation and came back to discover my old internet connection had been physically cut by them. six weeks, three missed appointments and three failed attempts to connect me later I finally got internet. It went out after a week. Since another service call got it restored it has functioned intermitantly. When working it is at best 1/3 of my old speed, (although it cost more, and at worst it is a nostalgic journey to the heady days of dial-up. No customer service and a barely functioning product at premium prices. While I cannot believe anyone who had a choice would opt to get this so-called internet, I would suggest if offered you would avoid it as you would a rabid dog!
