I understand publishing and that there can be delays, but my friend ordered at the same time and has received her book. Then, after two weeks of trying to get a response, they called me and said that they had reshipped my book. The date they gave me was days before the date of my first complaint. So I guess they are mind-readers now.
I'm in Canada and their 1-877 number won't work from Ontario, so I asked for their New Jersey number. I was given a number that goes to the personal cellphone of someone who has nothing to do with the company.
I am a published author and was considering Writers Republic for myself. Never.

I am a published author. Then somebody from writers republic contacted me claiming that they are a legitimate and a reliable company.
I already had this strong feeling of in doubt and mistrust, i had things bugged my mind and then became reluctant to deal with this company. To pacify things stressing out my mind i then decided to do my research. First, i checked amazon and what shocked me the most is that they only have 6 books published just this this year Meaning this is a new company) and i was suspicious to becoming their victim. To strengthen my speculations about this company, i hired a private investigator and to my dismay these are the few things i found out about them.

They claimed to be 11 years in the business, but their business was just operating 5 months. This fact tells us they are obviously lying.
What a disgrace!
The business was able to attain its llc registration last april 2019 which was just two months ago, see reference: https://www.Bizapedia.com/nj/writers-republic-llc.Html and it was registered to somebody who came from cebu philippines. For real? Who would have thought that somebody from the philippines got to execute all this dishonesty just to defraud some people?
For heaven's sake!
The previous name of writers republic is bookventure publishing. This is the new company name since bookventure went bankrupt and is facing legal cases for closing.

They don't have a physical office; their office is just a postal annex used to forwarding and receiving mails. This disturbed me a lot.
Imagine they don't even have a physical office? How rude and degrading.
To all my co-authors and soon to be authors, never be a victim of this fraudster company.
This should be a warning to all of us because i don't want you to experience what i have been through. Again, i am writing this to raise awareness for everyone and please stop this type of scam.
