I will get right down to the point. In March I forgot to pay my cable internet service on Wow website. My bank notified me in my email that money was taken from my account and that i had a negative in my account. I checked my bank account and 276.76 was withdrawn by Wow. My bill is usually $133 and some change. I checked my wow account and saw that they had took two months payment causing the negative in my account. I called wow on this and they told me i had used the automatic payment option to pay my bill.
I told them they were a lying and that none of my utilty bills are paid automatically. The sales rep kept trying to convince me that , that is what i did. I told him i want my money back and they had no right to go into my account and take what they wanted.
I told the rep the transaction was not and authorized one and they had no right to touch my money and take two months and they should refund me, because i didnt have no problem paying my bill myself. The rep said they would credit my bill $10 for the late fee. I asked to speak with the supervisor the rep said the supervisor is going to tell me the same thing.
The supervisor said they do not give refunds and basically repeated everything the rep said and argued with me saying that I had used the automatic payment and that she would remove it from my account. I told her that I had never used it in the first place and all my payments to them were one time payments I manually did myself as my account will prove. The supervisor told me to dispute the transaction with my bank because there is nothing more they could do.
I asked her why for one month would I select the automatic payment option for it to withdraw two months payments , it does not make any sense. Well the supervisor totally disreguarding what I was saying and kept asking me did you make a payment in March, did you make a payment in March over and over again. It didnt even make sense to call them because they stick to a script and will try to convince you that you did something you know you did not. I got the BBB involved and this company is stubborn. They said they will not do a refund because money was taken to pay for the service I am currently using.
Also since they stole my money, I have had problems with my internet service and tv cable service. My tv and internet service said no service and I got a black screen or my computer said no connection or locked up. I checked my Wow account and it shows 0.00 balance. I like my channels i have with wow but I can't deal with the theft that the company is trying to get away with.
I am telling everyone I can about this, because this has to stop. I have contacted the BBB and the Attorney General so far. I am willing to push this matter as far as I can because somebody has to investigate this company. How many customers accounts have been violated in this manner. This is theft by a business and it is not right. something has to be done!!!
