Worldwide Moving Systems Reviews

  • Dec 16, 2015

My move had a required delivery date on a Monday. On the Friday before I had not heard anything about it, so I called the company. I was told that I would not be getting my delivery on Monday, and "to call back sometime the middle of the [next] week." I called on Wednesday and was told to try again Friday. I called Friday and was told someone would call me on Monday. They did not call, and when I called on Tuesday, I was told my delivery was ready but could not be delivered before Thursday. At this point I've spent a week and a half in a house without furniture or dishes. The only communication during this entire time were the frequent calls I made trying to locate my shipment.

Things went worse after this. During the move, the two movers badly scratched an area of the newly refinished hardwood floors. They were moving a large piece of furniture back and forth across an area without anything underneath. I asked them to put something down, noted the damage on the forms they asked me to sign, and then called the office to note the damage. The movers were extremely unhappy, and pressured me to change the form to not reflect any damage. I refused.

Over the next few weejs I called back multiple times and heard nothing. Finally a technician was scheduled to come out and fix the damage. Upon his arrival, he tried to fix it and said that he could not. I was given a point of contact (Diane) to call, and I left her multiple phone calls, voicemails, and emails. Over the next 3 months she ignored all attempts to contact her.

I received a quote of over $1000 to fix the damage. The company didn't respond to me for over three months, until I started filing complaints and posting reviews online. Suddenly they responded and said they had mailed me a check (which magically never arrived). They then sent out another check... for $200 (less than 20% of the damage).

At this point I had spent months trying to get my delivery and then trying to fix the damage these movers caused. They never explained what that $200 was supposed to fix, as they never sent someone to the house who would be willing to do the work for that price, but I gave up.

You shouldn't use these crooks. They're horrible. Their customer service is a scam to wear you down. Don't trust them with your money, your home, or your belongings.
