WordStream, Inc. Reviews
Robert "rob" Crossen who works at Wordstream / Local IQ runs a scam where he moves accounts under his friend's names so he can collect commissions. We were an affilaite for Wordstream and were told we would get a new contract then he ran all the sales through his friend to preumely pocket a piece of the commision. Rob Crossen is a scam artist and when I exposed him to the Wordstream management they didn't even reply...
I've worked with this company for almost a decade and they showed they could care less about their unethical employee ripping off their affilaites. If you are looking for a PPC / Adwords partner stay FAR away from Local IQ, Wordstrea, and Rob Crossen.
I have been a client of Wordstream for over one year. Always paid ontime and I have used the software. However I have recently attempted to contact them in regards to incorrect billing amounts on my credit card and the has been aboslutly no response to fix or address the situation.
1. Billing is in execess of 50% of the amount as specified in their own schedual that should be billied
2. For two months they have kept billing incorrect amounts and I cannot stop the billing or remove my credit card from their system
My emails and phone calls to thier support began on August 4 2017 in response to one of their own emails to me. I requested to cease the account and stop billing via email to both a individual member of wordstream and also via their support links on the website.
As of today of writing September 12 2017 I have not hav a response from wordstream after seven emails and four phones calls to the support team at wordstream.
They promote themselves as a global company . However I warn anyone outside of the USA - do not enter into any services as you cannot get support internationally from wordstream. In particular they offer no support outside of USA hours and therefore it is currently impossible to get problems or issues addressed.
I have now sent all of my email copies of compliant to my credit card provider and requested to refuse any further transactions on a legal basis we have requested changes and a stop since August 4 2017 with no response and consdier this a fruad as we cannot get a service response.
Be warned wordstream will overbill and has no intention to support paying clients on valid and simple issues. It seems they will trap you will storing credit card detials and running a billing scam above their own agreed table of rates monthly.
We originally signed up for wordstream thinking it would add value to our google adwords campaign. We found the software to be very buggy and poorly designed. Worse, there were no support options - they do not offer phone based support, only a generic email address to send in your questions.
All of our support requests were ignored. We finally sent in a cancel request, to which we also did not receive a reply. We were very surpised when the next month they billed us again. Once again, we tried to contact wordstream but to no avail. We even tracked down the ceo, larry kim, who thinks of himself as a writer over at the huffington post. We tried to contact him directly, but that was also ignored.
When they billed us again the next month, we had enough and initiated a chargeback with our credit card. That got their attention! now we are getting generic "billing issue" emails and voicemails. We also were able to convince our back to block future charges.
It is very sad that a company with such a public ceo offers such a poor client experience.
I fell for the sales pitch at Wordstream and signed up for their service. I was hoping for $650+ a month it would help me with my companies adwords campaigns. They only sell a 6 month contract I knew I was locked in but based upon my monthly spend it could be less as low as $299.
Once I got into and really started using it I realized this was not ever going to help me with the adwords campaign. Seeing that I was locked in I decided to disconnect my account from there system this way I could get the lower rate but I wouldn't have any access to the wordstream system. A sad waste of $299 a month but I fell for it, it was my mistake, so I would just eat it.
But it has come to find out that because I didn't disconnect before the end of the first billing cycle they now want to charge me $650 again for another month. Now I can neither use their system nor enjoy the lower billing price. I certainly can't afford to pay $650 for something that I cannot use I just wish they would charge me the $299 instead and be done with it but they appear to want to battle it out over this.
