I had a small online business selling military memorabilia. I had successfully placed at least 5 orders to Wonderful Embroiderers in Sialkot, Pakistan. I have ordered from at least 5 different firms from there over the years. After about a ten year hiatus and also following a house fire, I have decided to get back into the business.
I reqested an updated price list and was sent one on On September 10, 2014 I placed an order for $268.15. I should have known something was up when Mr. Hanif quoted the biggest shipping charges I have ever seen, then upped it $30 to send DHL. I agreed, since I wanted the items quickly.
As requested, I sent the payment via MoneyGram. Again, I should have known better--this has been a problem 100% of the time and I will never do it again, as the temptation is too great to "take the money and run."
I requested a DHL tracking number and was promised one several times. Over the next few weeks, I received e-mails atating: 1. repeated promises to send my items. 2. Claims that my order is nearly finished, 3. Dates upon which my order was to be sent.
I think I pissed him off by calling him on his repeated lies, as I get no further replies to my e-mails, especailly the one requesting a refund. To date, I have received no shipment of any kind, or no refund. MoneyGram has also done nothing.
A report was made to IC3 as well.
I noticed that there is a new website and they claim to accept PayPal. I wish I had seen that earlier, since PayPal has buyer protection if items are not received or are not as described.
It appears I can do little other than try to warn others so they will not be victimized by the same fraud I was. Again the website is http://wonderfulembrs.com/ as well as an updated site, but still the same name of the owner: http://www.wonderfulemb.com/
