In starting my report , I can sincerely say I no longer feel it's in the public's best interest to remain silent about the issues I've had with this doctor and his business. I have read several online reports about other patients being "released "from his medical care and they were just as taken back as I was.
Ill get into brief details for a more accurate picture of what happened. I chose this place of business as they provide services to help balance hormones in men and women. Doctor Easter makes a secondary business as a practicing ob gyn of providing sotto pellets to individuals to "help balance hormones" to help alleviate symptoms of menopause , andropause or other related hormonal imbalances. I have been a patient of doctor Easter and women's medical group of upland for several years and I am aghast at the treatment I've received from this business , but yet sadly have learned that I am not alone here.
First , client beware and be your own advocate when it comes to what you allow to be put in your body ! The sotto pellet once put under your skin surgically cannot be removed. They do not tell you this. My first sotto pellet was inserted surgically after an initial blood test to determine a dosage suitable for my hormone levels. Be aware there is a huge " guess factor " when it comes to this. I was told by Dr Easter " this is what we typically give an average person your age when it comes to dosing " . Average is a close guess but inaccurate still. I had horrible side effects including an immediate 15 lb weight gain that has not disappeared since I first started on these bio identicals .
Prior to UWMG services , my BMI was in the very healthy range and it has been unhealthy since. After the sotto pellets took effect , I called to tell them my symptoms as I was alarmed being breast cancer runs in my immediate family. I made an appointment to see his aide , was screened for breast cancer because of the overdose of estrogen I was given , and left with a large bill afterwards, and of course told they cannot remove an implant ." Wait it out ". They told me. Well what choice did I have then ?. None. Please don't ever believe like I did that there is absolutely no risk in taking these hormones. If you have continued hormone imbalances, ( or new ones are created with the sotto pelle ), you may be given extra prescriptions that are very very pricey to help counteract the effects of what you just paid for in sotto pellets. To me this is redundant and costly. There needs to a better accuracy initially for each individual in my opinion.
The staff is very unfriendly and downright unprofessional in a very awkward way as I've often thought they seem less like medical professionals and more fit for the fast food arena. They lack social skills along with any empathy. There is a chain of several office people you must go through to send or receive any message and I can't even guess how many times on their part the job was done inefficiently . 95% ?. Probably very accraute.
Whether it was prescription wise, getting lab requisitions in order to fulfill Dr Easter's blood work requirements , let alone results back from labs that may be considered alarming in a medical perspective. Nothing was done without an issue. It was remarkable how time consuming the follow ups I made with this business was. And to think I paid them for this poor service. In an effort to resolve any issues , IF you are straight up and clear about the lack of service or mistakes this office makes as I've always treated them with decency and respect when it comes to misunderstandings, you WILL be blacklisted as I was.
There is no responsibility taken on their part or any apologies for their mistakes . People do make mistakes , but it got to a point that it was SO UNUSUAL if everyone did their jobs correctly and I did NOT have to follow up with several phone calls and inquiries to straighten out what could have and should have been done correctly initially had the staff and doctor put a little care and responsibility behind their business. You will realize you are just a number to this doctor, and ultimately realize he does not need your business at all. Doctor Easter charges on an average 300$ for women and 700$ for men to perform a 10 minute surgery and service. That's easy 1800$ per hour and you can tell by the lack of promptness and care you receive , this practice absolutely does not need your business. After all , he is swimming in your hard earned dollars and his uncoordinated staff doesn't care either. They are bothered and irritated if you happen to be a somewhat mindful client who needs a hand at all , but especially if a mistake was made on their behalf.
I was notified by mail that I'm no longer a patient after the doctor released me as his patient l said it was because of a phone call I made to this office explaining the most recent errors made by them that put me in a position. This doctor was well aware he was solely prescribing me a medication I had very few doses left of , and to abruptly discontinue this could cause me to have a seizure. It was both morally and ethically wrong on his part to do so , and I feel his hipocratic oath of " do no harm " came into question for me as he put me in a sutuation where I had to go to the emergency room to get help for. Shame on Doctor Tom Easter and his thin skinned inept staff !
Please take this as my buyer beware caution to you ! Take you and the only body you were born with to a doctor who actually cares and provides service you deserve as there are many other doctors out there. Convenience is not really convenient if you live 10 mins away from this office as I do , yet have taken hours of my personal time to follow up with their medical mistakes , only to be left in a medical threatening situation he chose to walk away from. Had he handled this in a more huminatarian or expected professional doctor sense , I would not have to had gone through what I did. And I'm just one of his long list of clients. Read others reviews as there are several ; and then consider the many others who may have gone through similar but did not post a review at all . I did so as I feel it my civil duty to warn the public as what they put their money in may cost them their health or a trip or two to the local emergency room all because this doctor and his business does not care about them as individuals in any way the average person would consider to be what is acceptable or professional coming from a doctor who is supposed to be a professional .
