Wise blocked my international credit card here in Brazil! Wise kept my money for a total of R$334.03 that I used on the Wise International Card! I went to use the Wise Visa international card on the Fiverr site and on the PayPal site it is always refused! Wise has many complaints from Brazilian consumers here in Brazil on the consumer protection website www.reclameaqui.com.br! Wise does not have customer support in Brazil! I do not recommend Wise to anyone in the US, Europe or Asia. Wise stole my money here in Brazil!

On August 3rd I transferred euros from my Suisse bank account to my wise.com (formerly TransferWise) Suisse francs account by mistake. I have contacted wise client support several times by all means available, and since then the money was still not refunded.

It seems like nobody knows where the money is, and it seems that nobody cares. The only thing that the support service says is that it’s a thing that is processed manually and can take weeks. Well, it has passed already eight weeks!!! How many more weeks do they need to refund the money? If there will ever be a refund…, I think this is inadmissible.

I've reported the situation to my bank as well, and all they say is that they're waiting for a reply from wise, that just doesn't arrive. Wise doesn’t even reply to my bank inquiry.

Be very careful with these so-called internet financial sites. These are only apps that function automatically, and all they care about is charging commissions. If there’s any problem nobody knows anything, and nobody will help you, you’ll just lose your money.

I was looking for a way to wire money from my US bank acount to Mexico where I have been living . As I have retired and have a Mexican wife. I went through all the steps with wise showing my Passport and wise said I was good to go . I could send money. May 23 I had sent money to mexico over $4000.00 to my wife so we can start paying some bills .

Wise had shut my account down as the money was in tarnsit . No calls no nothing from Wise just shut down my acount. I did not get the money back . I filed all the paperwork with the company and got nothing in response. I called the company and got a run around.

So now I am out the money and may have to get attorney.

On April 15th 2021, I opened a business bank account with Wise Bank, formerly TransferWise, which I had used before to transfer funds in the past. After a brief stay in the hopspital due to COVID-19, I went to log in and fund my Wise business account, however Wise had closed my account without giving me any reason.

I made an appeal as their customer service rep had instructed me to do. I explained my hospital stay and everything, they asked me for multiple photos of my drivers license and a picture of me holding me license. I did everything they asked and they still refused to reactivate my account and said any funds would be returned to me within 10 business days.

Customer service said that they would respond about my $31.00 they took from me. Their response:
