Wilshire Consumer Credit Reviews

  • Oct 3, 2018

In September 2018, I ask the company to do a settlement offer. The manager offers me 2,700 dollars which the loan balance was 2,800. I was rip off in about 2,500 in interest. I paid it off on September 09, 2018. I called the company to ask about my car title. I was told to sign a document in my Email box for weeks.

I then called back because wasn't any document to sign. I was told over and over again to sign a document. I then receive a letter stating I owe the company 100.00 dollars before I get my car title. I call the company again and was told by a representative to destroy the letter, it was a mistake. Wilshire company has been very deceitful in conversations, and malice in there doing. And of today I have not received my car title.

In April when I did the contract with Wilshire consumer, I never receive documents of how much the interest rate was. When I finally called for my contract the interest rate was higher when they finally sent it off. Thanks, Jeanette Davis.

I reciveved a TitleLoan from this company 24 months ago. The term of the loan is 44 mos at 340 a month. The principal balance has not move from 5200$ I borrowed at the begining. In fact it has gone up to 5700$, also, I missed one pay 4 days late and the vehicle was repo'd but I reclaim and paid the 1300% and being trying to get the paperwork since for 8 mos. Wilshire Consumer Credit WAWO this is the worst company and they’re reviews show that I would recommend you never to use this company and if you have exhausted all other options like fast cash companies, personal load companies and even loan sharks and have no choice be prepare to lose your money and time just trying to get them to assist you and having them over bill you for everything!

Our Company Truck was stolen as we are a small company this really hurt us as we rely on our trucks to deliver and pick up merchandise. After two weeks the truck was recovered by LAPD on October 9th 2017 and we thank them for their fast service and assistance. On October 11th 2017 our insurance company accompanied by us went to US Tow where the truck was being held to pick up the vehicle for repair and inspection. When we arrived we were informed that Wilshire Consumer Credit had already picked up our vehicle with no communication to us please keep in mind at this point we paid for a tow truck to pick up the truck and payments were up today so it WAS NOT A REPO.

When we called Wilshire Consumer Credit we got the run around they didn’t know where the truck and they said they couldn’t give us any information till we paid the repo fees and tow fees! We tried to explain to “Alan” from Wilshire Consumer Credit over and over it wasn’t a repo but a stolen vehicle recovery I don’t blame Alan I blame whoever trained him if anyone did he then told us he would have someone call us back. We called back day till these day Alan still thinks it’s a repo GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (NOT). We finally got transferred to Claudia Tafolla a Supervisor with Wilshire Consumer Credit that advice us that is not a repo but we would have to pay tow fees and storage fees of $1,392.82 in order to get the location of our truck for inspection it took 5 days just to get that information “GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (NOT).

We then issued a certified check the next day and shipped it next day air they received it on October 19th by a Tong in their El Monte office and cashed and deposited on the 20th. We have spoken to Alan, Michael Ramirez, Rosa Bold, Jocelyn Reboledo, Claudia Taffola (Worse Supervisor) and two others and still no resolution. It is now October 26, 2017 Wilshire consumer Credit has cost our company $225.00 in a tow not used $2,835.00 in unnecessary Vehicle rentals because they will not release our truck for repair or inspection and over 34 man hours trying to get any answer or response or resolution to a simple matter. Our loan with Wilshire consumer Credit could have already been paid off if they would have just released our truck with everything they have made us pay already. This is the worse company and has the worse customer service ever don’t use them don’t make the same mistake we made I hope or lesson will help other look for any other company that’s not Wilshire consumer credit.

In January 2012 we got a title loan from Wilshire Consumer Credit. We paid in full in March of that same year. I GOT OUR TITLE BACK. We are trying to rebuild our credit and they have on my credit report that we were late in making payments and it is a charged off account. If we owed money still how did we get our title back. When I sold the car it showed a clear title. If this company does not remove this hit from my credit, I am going to report this to the California State Attorney General. I would highly recommend that any and all others that feel this company has been fraudulent in dealing with you to write a letter to Califonia's Attorney General. At the very least this could get an investigation of their dealings.

I would like to file a report on wilshire consumer credit. afew days before christmas someone showed up at my door. at 3.00 in the morning. they had my suv on tow. i was two months behind on my title loan payments. they took my vehicle. i called to find out how i could get it back. they had added on fees that totaled to over 1000 dollars. i was only behind 400 dollars. i spoke to several different representatives. they all told me that they would work with mein getting my car back. i was told that if i made one payment i would be extended for ten days before my car would be sold. i paid three different payments in one months time. they had me thinking that my payments were going down and i still owned my car. all the while they had sold the car and was still telling me to pay a bal od 600 dollars and i would get my car back. they were lying to me all along. my car was sold and they were telling me they still had it. i have been deceived by this company and i want someone to reach out to me with help in filing a complaint against WILSHIRE CONSUMER CREDIT OF LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA.

Where do i start? a year ago i applied for a title loan through wilshire consumer credit. i have never missed a payment and have always paid on time and always paid a few dollars extra towards my payment. in december i was told that i would be able to miss one payment and all i would need to do is pay the 50 dollar fee to grant that missed payment. i paid the 50.00 dollars and assumed december was paid for. id december i was in the hospital having surgery and noticed i had a few mised calls from wilshire consumer credit. i called them and they told me that i missed payment. i told them that i paid the 50.00 fee and that i was told i could miss december payment. they said they would take care of the issue and that my payment for december would be updated. i again got a few more calls and again told them about the 50.00 fee and they still had not resolved the reason as to why my payments were not updated. later that month and beginning of january i lost my hearing. i had two ear infections and was not able to make phone calls. i again noticed that they called and later in january when i could hear again i called them and they told me i was now two months behind. i told them that was not correct and that i was allowed to miss december payment. they then told me that the 50.00 fee was not paid for that my bank did not cover it. i was not aware of this. i had payments arranged to make january payment and told them i would be able to pay for january by the end of friday and they told me they would note it and i asked them if my car would be taken and they said no and to make sure i paid on friday. i went to get my son from school today and my car was gone. no notice that they took it and to make things worse. my walker is in the back trunk of my car and i have no way to go and get ir or make the payments. i now owe 12387.82 and if its not paid they will send it to auction. they know i am on a fixed income. that i only get paid twice a month. they know i have no way to make the payments requested and i feel that their company is injustice. i have never missed a payment and always paid on time. 37 days late and they are allowed to take my car without me knowing. i need help! what can i do to sue them? and how can i get my car back and never again will i be working with wilshire consumer credit.

It came around the holidays and my family needed some money for Christmas and house repairs. We was behind in rent also so I thought I'll take out a loan. Everything was good until I got behind and I made arrangement s to pay a late balance. A second time later in the year after not working I figured I'll pay next check but my car was repossessed from my moms job. Mind you, I never even received a call. I actually thought someone stole the car and I was going to call the police. I called them instead. They said they had my car and once I pay the balance I can get it back. My payday was t for another two weeks so I asked will I be able to get it back then and they said yes. Lady told me my car was in the city at an undisclosed location and once Payment was made I can pick up my car. Well, I still received calls from them at home and at work anyway haunting me about payment. Once I did get my check I paid them over the phone and I they told me they would let me know where my car was in 24 hours after Payment cleared. I called back next day and they told me my car was taken to Columbus for auction! I live in Toledo! I was like what?!? How did it get down there? Why would they auction off my car? I only owed like $600 left on it so wasn't like I wasn't going to pay. The rep lied to me to get my payment and then said she released my car so I can go get it! She told me my car was in Toledo and when I spoke to the people at the auction they said my car was there for almost two weeks meaning they sent it to auction almost immediately after they picked it up. I was about 28 at the time. I packed a lunch and turned in some coins and caught a grey hound bus (5 hr ) drive to Columbus and walked to nearest motel. Stayed a night and walked to the auction to pick up my car. Then find out that my plates was taken off my car and I had to drive all the way back to Toledo with no plates on my car. They constantly called and lied to me about my vehicle. I tried to get answers and never got any. My items that was in my car was taken too. Phone calls claiming they was someone else to get me on the phone to was annoying. They then said they sold my debt to someone else who I figured was a creditor. Week later the engine died in the car. All of that for nothing. Never ever deal with that company again!!!
