I searched the internet for the parts I was looking for when I ran across Willys Jeep Parts. They had listed on their website one of the parts I was looking for with a picture of the part. The part was a driveshaft yoke for the output shaft of the overdrive transmission unit on my 1947 Willys Sedan Delivery. I also needed the driveshaft pinion yoke for the rear axel along with the driveshaft trunion u-joints. I called the next day to ask about the other parts needed. I was greeted by a women and was informed that the owner was on another line and would get with me asap. I was not put on hold. The woman left the line open and I could hear in the back ground a man yelling at a customer over the phone. That should have been my first clue. I talked with the owner of the company after he finished with the other phone call I had the pleasure of listening to. Although to his credit Jim was very cordial with me on the phone.
He asked me to send pictures via e-mail of my drive shaft so he could see what I was looking for. He responded via e-mail and informed me he could not help me with the u-joints. I then called and spoke to the owner about the rear axel pinion yoke. The owner informed me he would have to look and see if he had one and to call back in a couple of days. I called back a couple of days later and spoke with the owner. He said he had the rear axel pinion yoke so I placed the order over the phone for both of the yokes I needed. I paid $98.50 each + $10.00 shipping using my debit card. The order was placed on 09/22/2017. My card was debited on 09/25/2017 for $207. All is good so far. On 09/28/2017 I received the parts I ordered. After opening the package I found one of the yokes to be new and the other used. The used yoke was the right part for my application and I was ok with that but the new yoke was not. Along with my order came instructions explaining what was required for any items being returned. On 09/29/2017 I called the owner and informed him that the rear axel yoke was the wrong style. The owner said it was the right part for my vehicle. In part the owner was right. But for my model 4-63 Willys Sedan Delivery they used both styles of drive shafts. The Trunion style driveshaft which was used on the 2 wheel drive models and the more conventional style, the 4 needle bearing u-joint used on the 4 wheel drive models.
I explained to the owner I wished to return the wrong item for a refund. The owner informed me that he had the right style and he would exchange the parts for me. I insisted on the refund and he agreed. At this point in our dealings all was good except the wrong part. As I stated earlier I sent Jthe owner pictures of my driveshaft. The pictures were a clear indication of the type of yokes my Willys needed. The owner sent me one right yoke and one wrong yoke? This told me that he was not paying attention to my needs. On 09/30/2017 I sent the wrong part back to Willys Jeep Parts. They received the package on 10/02/2017 per the USPS tracking #. As of 10/10/2017 no refund was showing up in my bank account. I Called the owner the morning of 10/10/2017. During our short conversation I was told in a very disrespectful tone of voice he might do the refund in the next day or 2 then he hung up the phone.
At this point I went out on the Internet looking for reviews of Willys Jeep Parts. I was not suprised to find negative reviews. I then went to my bank and asked for help in getting my money back. I was very fortunate. My bank has accepted my claim and will refund my loss and will persue Willys Jeep Parts for their return of the funds.
I am writing this review to inform the public of how disrespectful the owner of Willys Jeep Parts is if you get the wrong part and it is their mistake. Thats when you find out what kind of person the owner really is. Of the other reviews I've read those patrons were not so fortunate according their reviews. Willys Jeep Parts may have what your looking for but my suggestion to you is, if your going to do business with this company do so thru PayPal or a card with buyer protection built in. Make sure you give an accurate discription of what you need and ask for a picture of the part you need. Send them a picture of what your looking for if possible. You may find yourself on the shortend of the stick if you don't. As the other reviews state as well as I, Willys Jeep Parts has a very poor and disrespectful customer service department.
