I paid them $2,000 and they claimed that their Attorneys would get modification and stop harassing calls from lender with Cease and Desist Order. I had to pay them by depositing cash into their Wells Fargo account for services. Well this is Bank Fraud since they did nothing but write 1 letter. I asked who the Attorney was and they claimed to have several. All I got from them was NOTHING.I have reported then to the State Bar of California. Now they have disappeared with my Social Security money and I got nothing. They robbed me without a gun. I don't know where else to take my complaint. Any suggestions?
about a year ago I was contacted by a Man telling us all these stories about how they could help us get our payments on our house dropped so we could live comfortable and we paid them $3000.00 dollars and they were in contact every day for a while then it got less and less when they would send us info. We sent them everything they asked for and they told us we qualified for HARP then trying to fax papers to them the fax number would not work. Then tried to call and number does not work we are 83 and 81 years of age we have sunk everything we had into this place now they are taking it all away from us.
Why cant something be done with companies like this we are to old to start over we are having to auction off everything we have worked all our life to have now we are out in the street with nothing. Please help us make this company keep our home.
The company promised to help reduce the amount owed on the mortgage along with a reduction in the interest rate. They received payments amounting to $4000.00 which they said would cover the legal expenses. Anytime they requested information it was emailed to them as well as to myself so I would have a record of the requests. In the papers they provided they say they would keep the client informed of the progress of the case. This was not done. It would take several calls & emails to finally get a response. They never investigated the fact that the mortgage had passed through several companies. Whe the servicer requested information from them they never contacted us in a timely manner so that the information Could be passed on to the servicer. We have now been served with a notice that the bank intends to foreclose on us. When Tammy Whitewas informed of this she said the legal department of the company would be in touch which they still haven't done after several emails & calls to the company. We have had to hire a foreclosure defense attorney now. This company doesn't deserve to be in business.
I realized today afer spending another 2000,00 to try to hire a Loan Modification company that Westwood Legal formerly known as Camden Legal Group has just changed the company name to hide all of the bad reviews online for their deceptive business practice...
I have found countless consumers that are a victim of Westwood Legal/CamdenLegal and clients that have lost their home due to lack of communication and no work and assistance from Jimmy Swinder and his team who run this scheme.
I would be very concerened and call the Attorey General if you are contacted by Westwood Legal There is no attorney on file, their contract does not outline any work that they will be doing, and I now have realized it is ILEGAL to charge upfront fees for a Loan Modification by attorneys
This scam must be stopped, I will not stop until they are shut down.
