Misappropriated funds to the tune of 17K, plus. Numerous attempts to reconcile were futile. Emailing the owner, equally futile. Never notified us of countless trash violations resulting in huge city fines. We finally voted and got rid of this God-awful company. I'm currently staying at a Westwood Managed Condo (my mom's property at Chaville Condo on Lincoln Ave). WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT HOT WATER FOR A FULL WEEK! This treatment in fact is just an inkling of how HORRIBLE they are! My mom has mentioned how terrible this "management"' company is and now I've experienced their ineptitude first hand. Be mindful...all the negative reviews here are REAL. I would be very hesitant to believe ANY good review is actually real.
They are probably falsely planted to raise rankings. Everyday they lie about the water getting fixed, meanwhile the elderly and small children (and everyone else) have to suffer with freezing water in the middle of winter. They are skilled at lying and cashing monthly checks. They need to be veto'd out and another management company needs to take over immediately. This water problem happens every year in addition to a whole slew of issues that never get fixed and complaints never get addressed. There treatment is inhumane. They do not value their tenants. Bottom line they are thieves and if you see them listed as management in a building you are interested in...simply don't do it!!!!!!!! Westwood, you are a bunch of lying thieves. The authorities need to be called on you immediately!
I became an owner within one of the buildings they manage, and have regretted it ever since. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs.
They never respond, so if you have a problem you are on your own. They have even put tenants life in danger by hiring cheap contractors who don't know how to properly ventilate their gas powered equipment causing a full evacuation of the building per Chicago fire department. If I didn't have ADT, people would have died (levels were at 10 times the toxic limit from morning till the alarms went off from upward seepage into peoples homes). Nobody reached back out to me from management for the story or any update. I have a police report and logs from ADT.
Another time they had illegal contract workers working on parts of the building, shutting off water over 24 hours, blaming it on the city. After getting with the city department having them come out only to tell me it was not them and the valve was shut off internally, even though the property "manager" sent out emails stating it was a city shut off. It was a manual valve shut off so renovations could be completed without a city permit. I also have a case # for this incident.
Now there was an incident on property, where the cameras are directly pointing to and are triggered by motion and have a capture light cueing that tape is rolling when there is motion. I reached out and called, and finally got a response about 9 days after. Then they emailed back saying basically the cameras didn't have proper location or angle... they didn't ask me which camera, which location or what times... Funny
Even the property cleaners leave notes up in our building saying, please reach out to your management company to continue cleaning services because they stopped paying and stopped responding...
Have you seen a theme yet? I forgot to mention that I purchased the property 4 months ago. I have had ENOUGH.
Their workers detroyed our statuary in the front yard. They took their snow shovels and slammed them into the bottom of the statuary and destroyed them. Pedro said he would replace the statuary and did not keep his promise. Wouldn't trust this agency. So far, they have 6 complaints with the Rockford Beter Business Bureau.
One worked had a leaf blower and decided he would have some fun and target our dog in the back yard on his lead. He took the blower and put it into the dogs dace while the dog was extended on the lead choking. If I had not walked out there, the dog would have hung himself. The same worker has repeated this harassment of our dog.
Next, their workers turned on our hose and it was left there for several months. The association refused to cover the cost of the water bill, amounting to hundreds of dollars.
They have also sent us false notices about things that never happened. They definitely have good imaginations, that's for sure.
We are filing with the BBB.
Bill Twigg is on the Board, and he and his wife have harassed us since the day they moved into the neighborhood.
The people from the company, were asked asked to remedy these allegations and they refused.
