Welzoo advertises to make their website your "start" page and choose a charity and they will send that charity the funds that advertising raises when a person visits their pages. They show the user how much they have earned for their charity, and they claim to have over 1.6 million charities and thousands of student organizations listed on their site.
However, the site is a scam. They collect advertising dollars and they do not pay the charities as promised. Our charity was listed and collected funds for over one year from various supporters using Welzoo as their start page. We raised over $600 and were supposed to be paid in January according to payout statement on their website. When I contacted the site's email address it bounced, and the phone number they have listed on their page belongs to someone named Louis who has nothing to do with Welzoo. The "whois" info for the domain lists an email address that is unresponsive.
The welzoo.com site is a scam. It generates advertising dollars for the site owners and nothing at all is sent to the charities they have listed.
