John Migneco of Well Built Custom Kitchens was originally a subcontractor working on our property under Daniel Grafman, an unlicensed contractor. In November when we realized Daniel was doing unlicensed work, we decided to create a new contract with John Migneco as he required such to be able to complete the work he had started for us. The contract was clearly set out for John Migneco to meet target deadlines.
He required us to pay almost half as a deposit. We later did a separate contract for a media wall with a large deposit which he also did not deliver for. He showed a complete lack of respect for the deadlines established and went as far as to threaten my family and me.
The bottom line is that he has delivered 5% of what is outlined in the contract and we want our deposits back given that what he delivered is not even what we ordered and that that rest is missing and long overdue. He refuses to pay it back. Other professionals came to assess the job he did and realized he put cabinets 3 inches from the gas stovetop, which is a major safety hazard as well.
I've had 4 licensed companies come in and assess the job and their evaluation is that he is not really a cabinet maker or a millworker. The quality is that of a DIYer beginner. Avoid using him or believing a word he says.
