I called to cancel and was told that b/c I chose a cancellation date of April 6th (3 months special) that I would be charged for March and April. I explained that all I did was click on cancel my membership and that should be it. They did take care of it and credit me back but I want everyone to be aware of this scam. I saw another posting about this but it was dated 2014 so this must be a racket they've been running for some time now. Beware!

I canceled my Weight Watchers online account in December 2016, and recieved a cancellation email confirming this.

Weight Watchers has continued to bill me in January and February of 2017. When I called to inquire, they claimed that someone else was using the credit card number, but would not send me documentation.

On my second call, after finding out that my wife had an account which she canceled in 2014, the representative claimed that the bills were for that account.

I pointed out that they had not been billing that account for about two years, as we had only been getting charges for my one account, not two. I asked for the billing history on all my accounts and the representative terminated the call.

The charges are in dispute with my credit card company. Weight Watchers has not provided any documentation to support their charges, after two verbal and on email request.

Well over six years ago my wife cancelled her membership to Weight Watchers, because she wasn't using it. Weight Watchers simply ingnored the request and kept charging our credit card.

Worse, when we changed the card number they simply filed for the new number and American Express gave it to them and allowed them to keep charging the card.

When we complained to American Express and filed a fraud claim against Weight Watchers, American Express said that Weight Watchers had shown the my wife's authorization to charge the card and that our only recourse was to go back to Weight Watchers and get them to stop charging the card.

We've attempted to cancel the membership at least a dozen times since and were only able to get Weight Watchers to actually do so in late 2014 ... and only by filing simultanious complaints with both the BBB and the Attorney General's Office.

Six years later we finally got them to stop charging our credit card ... and in the BBB complaint we asked for a refund of the charges the fradulently charged ... that BBB complaint has been cancelled three times by the New York BBB due to "failure of the company to respond to the BBB". It's "alive" again now and they have changed their story multiple times ... saying they can't find her account ... then saying they'll "settle" by refunding one year of her fees if we'll send them my wife's payment address ... and then a couple weeks ago in response to our sending the payment info they requested that they weren't going to refund anything (remember, they less than 10 days prior said they would ...) becaus "the account was only closed in late 2014.

I think contacted them through facebook and a woman named "Taylor" at Weight Watchers Corporate Affairs said she'd look into it. She contacted me about an hour ago and stated that her associate had called my wife and that they were waiting for my wife to return that call so that they could reach a resolution ... THEY NEVER CALLED MY WIFE, IT WAS A LIE!!!

Six years of lies, fraud and stalling .... and they still won't do anything to actually try and resolve this.
