Webactivism claims to investigate for Fraud and perjury. They are not a law or legal entity and can not make such false claims. They are not part of any law firm or State or Federal law enforcement agency. Clearly they aim to intimidate and extort. There are also sites that claim to remove their posts for $5000. In fact they advertise specifically for removal of their webactivism posts. This clearly becomes an intent to extort their victims. They do not list their address, or phone number..so they also are clearly a rogue website trying to be false heroes. They also try to raise money from the internet community under false pretenses. Please be aware of this site and take the necessary measures on your end. Report the to the local authorities. I am all for the first amendment but against libelous accusations
This website is instrumental in unlawful activities that include harassment, intimidation, dissemination of personal information, intimate images of a sexual nature, etc. This website (webactivism.com) is a fraudulent site that purports to be a public service (i.e. cleverly masquerading itself as a legitimate public interest website) -- but in reality, this an extortion based website that posts content that is defamatory, false, shaming (revenge porn), etc. and through its third-party subsidiaries, they demand hefty payment for content to be taken down.
This is blatant extortion and law enforcement should not allow these dubious parties to carry out their acts unscathed by way of executing such fraudulent schemes. Pursuant to various court orders, search engines such as Google, et al. have removed or redacted links from this payment for removal scam website. It is incumbent that law enforcement put a stop to these types of rogue operations that carry out extortion and various other types of criminal activities while profiting through the demise of the poor and vulnerable.
