On July 16, 2015 I purchased a WaterBoss Iron Filter from Home Depot for my cabin, for a month it worked fine. I took it to my house over the winter to avoid exposing it to the harse MN winters. I reinstalled it in May of this year. Shortly after I installed it the unit stopped working. I have been fighting with customer service for almost two months. I have never been treated more rudely or disrespectfully by a customer service department in my life. I spoke to a supervisor and he was more rude then the customer service reps. I spoke to technical assistance and received the same treatment. I'm told that the ten year warranty only covers parts, no labor or repairs. The person I hired to install the unit came out and was shocked by what he saw. He found the unit was actually putting contaminants and rust into my water system! He disconncected the unit and ran water directly from the well and the water cleared up. I flushed my hot water heater for over three hours and it looked like I was pumping out of a septic tank! After receiving the same response for almost three months, I filed a complaint with the BBB. I did receive a call from a supervior from Technical Assistance. All I received was the same responses and he was extremely patronizing, obviously only interested in protecting the company and not at all focused on customer satisfacion. I'm out $800.00 and all I have is a disfunctional iron filter that sits disconnected. Beware of WaterBoss International!
