Jeff rudek called me because we use the same web person and questioned me about work to see if I was busy or not he is in the first place for many city's around Minneapolis and when we spoke he told me he didn't do any construction work after water mitigation was done. I thought it was strange but didnt really care ... I told him that is where I make most of money and maybe we could do work together in the future . On Christmas eve I had a flooded building from the 4th floor because of a sprinkler head going off and I was told it flooded to the parking garage. To dry out this many units it takes quite a bit of equipment so I called Jeff to come out and help.
He showed up about midnight and we helped him take out his extraction machine and hoses and went to 4th floor. There was about 2 to 3 inches of water in the unit still so we proceeded to vac it up.
The sprinkler head went off above the breaker panel and all the apartments are the same layout so we had 4 units with water coming out of breaker panels. After I saw this I told Jeff that we were not going to set up dry out equipment at this point and would evaluate it the next day. He said well if I had known that I would not have came down. I expected to make 7000.00 tonight and right away the warning signs went off.
We finished removing water off of the 4th floor and I gave him my card and told him to send me his bill and told him I would call him in few days. I could tell he was pissed off because I would not let him plug in his equipment. The following Monday he called the property management company to try and steel my work and talk s**t about me he got there information and sent the bill directly to them I found out about it and waited and after a week he texted me to tell me he called them and billed them directly and also to tell me he had a flood almost as big as the one I was working on.
My point is this I saw all the dehumidifiers and fans in his truck and there was not even close to enough equipment to warrant a bill for 7000.00 even with emergency charges and with water coming out of breaker panels there was no way I would used them. I still feel the knife in my back he has other reports on here he's a con no license no certifications he's a hack with a truck and some dry out equipment do not hire him I do a few million dollars a year in restoration work and put out the olive branch and he bent me over and ......
He gets all his work from his website he is not licensed like it says on his site he is not certified with the iicrc like it says on his website he has not been certified for at least 10 years if you google his name he has gone to several states got a contractors license ripped people off lost his license and moved on.
Do not hire Jeff to do restoration work he will take advantage of the situation and you will be sorry.
