I ordered a Cartier watch from watchmaxx and they box was dented and did not come with all the paperwork. The watch did not have the accurate brand new stickers when I received the watch. It looked as if this was a refurbished watch. I noticed the watch did not hold time properly. When I called for a refund I encountered aggressive attitude. I was fearful I would not receive my money back since I was getting the run around so I had to have my lawyer get involved and send a letter to ensure I received my refund. They could not tell me exactly when I would receive a refund. I felt like i was getting the run around and they were very condensending and rude to me. I was very dissatisfied with my buying experience and would never buy from watchmaxx again.
I got a defective watch with poor accuracy and it even stopped in the midnight. They said I can return without restocking and shipping fees. I only hold this watch for two days, returned it and emailed asking full refund though I didn't get their reply. Two weeks later, I only got partial refund; restocking and shipping fees are not refunded. I contacted them and they claimed this is NOT defective!!!
This is not reasonable at all that they didn't contact me claiming it during this TWO weeks and just gave me partial refund without my approval. The only reason I can think of is they spent two weeks to fix it.
So one of the reasons why their watches are even cheaper than other grey markets is likely that a customer has higher chance to get a defective watch. And a defective watch becomes a non-defective one when a customer returns it since they just fix by themselves. So anyway you won't get your full money back once you buy from them and at least they earn some money. Besides, you know the watch becomes "brand-new" after their repair!
I bought a "new” Tag Heuer watch from them, which stopped working almost immediately. I returned it to them under their 30 Day Return policy, which they declined to honor. They have now had the watch for over two months and have stopped responding to my emails. Buyer beware.
I purchased a luxury watch from WatchMaxx (WatchMaxx.com) for several thousand dollars which stopped functioning correctly within a year. I requested either:
- a replacement
- a refund
The merchant ("Ben" at Watchmaxx; [email protected]) conveniently did not even include the warranty card with the watch, then offered his solution, which was that I pay another $1,700.00 and he would "exchange" the watch and include the warranty card.
It has been several years and multiple servicings of the watch later and it still does not keep time correctly. It is incredibly clear that the watch is a lemon, and the merchant refuses to even exchange it. I don't even have the warranty card which has been unreasonably withheld by the merchant.
I have seen many complaints against WatchMaxx and WatchMaxx.com and it is now clear why. Something is not right with this company; don't be fooled into buying from them because of their pricing...it is cheap for a reason!
