WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems Reviews
I have rented a washer and dryer (1 each) from WASH for about 4 years. The equipment is old (I'm guessing from 1980) but it works. In 4 years we had maybe 4 service calls and each were addressed within 2 days. I think 1 call for the dryer and 3 calls for the washer. Something changed with this company, I'm guessing in summer 2017.
In October 2017, it took 16 days for a service call to be taken care of. Right now, November 2017, we're on day 16 again. Yes, over the past 2 months, the washer was working less than 50% of the time. Initially, my tenants and I called frequently to escalate the issue. WASH claims that they suddenly got too many service calls in our area (San Francisco Bay Area) I noticed also that when calling them, one is much longer on hold now than in previous years.
Reporting a broken machine through their web site does not work either. It looks like the site accepts your maintenance request, but when you call them the next day, they have nothing in their database. So, finally I figured that this is a ploy to make me upgrade our account to newer/ more expensive machines. I called and asked if I could get newer machines (let's say a 15 year old instead of 35 year old washer), I would be happy to pay a little more for that. I was told that their sales person will call me about such options.. "next week Wednesday". (I placed the call on a Thursday!) I did not receive a call.
What kiind of company will even ignore a call that would increase their revenue??? And, why does it take a week to speak to a sales person? It appears that this company is doing the best they can to go out of business. The only thing they have going for them is that they (after a long time on hold) answer our calls and they do this in a polite manner. They always apologize many times for all their shortcomings.
This has apartment Home tenets extremely angry! 8$ is charged to the credit card each time it is swiped to do a $1.50 load of laundry! As a hold? A hold for what? Why on earth do they need to hold anything to do laundry? To make this even worse they don't release this hold for over a week! On my bank statements for the past year & a half, I've just discovered that on top of the usual charge of 1.50$ there's a mystery charge of 4.50$ to 5.50$ each time we wash! This has happened to each tenant that I've told and asked to check their banking statements! This could be a serious lawsuit! It is absolutely ridiculous for them to have our credit card information ,bank information, our names & any personal information whatsoever! It is just shady for a laundry service in an apartment complex to have this type of info! I don't know why they even installed the stupid machines here. Be aware of this company! Do not use their services! Don't loose your hard earned money with these people! Their customer service is horrible as well! No resolution when called.
