Warrantech Reviews

January 1, 2016, I purchased LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. ultra large washing machine top loader with a 5-year warranty. October 2016 3 months prior to hitting the one year warranty I started to get more and more problems with the wash-machine. I have called and called Pacific Sales and Best Buy daily to schedule an appointment with them to come and take a look at the wash-machine.

I got so tired from wait to the point I went to the store to ask if they could make the appointment for me they told me they would so I set and wait and wait for nothing so the month goes by and nothing so December 23, 2017. I went back to the store I got there around 11 am and I stay until got me an appointment with Warrantech because at this point my 1-year warranty was done according to Pacific Sales. So I ask them I pay for 5 years plan they told me that I need to use so I decide to do so.

The store manager told me that he was going to get in touch with Warrantech to get someone to come to my house to take a look at. The first appointment was scheduled for December 27 at 3 pm I took the day off work to make sure someone was home. I received a phone call from the technician around 2:15 pm on December 27, 2017, saying that he could not come to the house so I call Warrantech and ask if they can get someone's they arranged for another technician for the 29th December at 3:00 pm the name the technician was Artin.

I ask my husband if he could miss a day of work to be home when Artin the technician get there. Artin the technician come as he said he would. He looks at the washing machine told my husband that he did not have the part that he would come back late that night or the next day afternoon which he did. He told my husband job was done it was not a big deal, so my husband asked if he had a copy of the invoice for my husband to sign he told my husband no.

My husband asked if it was ok to take a picture of the invoice he told my husband not the whole invoice only partial. The invoice he had written Job Done nothing else, so the next day was Saturday I went to do was some laundry the was-machine still not working.

I decided to take the laundry out of the wash-machine and do by hands as I was taking the laundry out of the wash-machine I notice the hinge was broken and the top of the dashboard was damaged with screwdriver so I took pictures and I went back to the store with the pictures once again they call the insurance and they ask for more pictures so I did what they ask of me I went above and beyond and nothing was done I got so many running around with Pacific Sales best buy and the Warrantech. Pacific Sales did not do any investigation or Warrantech for that matter.

Anyway away the story continues to the point with Warratech told me that they wore waiting for the technician to get the part that he has ordered so I decided to contact the technician to ask him when he was planning to come to the house to fix what he has broken he told me that he did not have order any parts and he will not fix so I contact Warrantech they told me that my claim has been denied and that I do not have any insurance cause the technician found rats inside my wash-machine when I ask for the later of denial Warrantech have denied my request I ask Bestbuy and Pacific Sales for the latter they also have denied my request so none of them have done any investigation to this situation I have written later after letter to the CEO to the Head wuater phone calls every other day and no solution so I was going to take all them to small claim however the Warrentech is Texas and Headquater Bestbuy is Richfield, MN I am in California I have tried to contact all them over and over sinds January I am getting no response

I need your help. Please help me to bring this to justice that not another person goes throw this insanity

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my complaint.

We purchased a $699 laptop computer and paid $300 for a 3 year adh warranty. After contracting the company to repair the unit we were let know that we would be receiving a cash-out on the unit. When we received the check it was for $230. Impossible to find even a used model in working order for under $500. 1 - There was no mention of the aggregate contract upon sale of the warranty 2 - The pamphlet we were given did not list any details or even mention it - it states we would get the full amount 3 - We were specifically told they would replace the entire unit no matter what by the sales rep at purchase (short of intention damage or having it stolen) as long as it was within the warranty period 4 - When contacted, they said there was fine print on the back of the pamphlet that said to consult full terms and conditions - those terms and conditions were not made available to us before purchase 5 - Language was purposely misleading during phone conversations, and also in the full terms and conditions (8pg document with only 3 or 4 sentences about the aggregate contract) 6 - Average wait time 1 ½ hours to speak with someone 7 - We were told we would be contacted in 24 hours, had to wait 2 days until we reached out to them 8 - When they did respond they had not listened to the conversation they had said they were going to 9 - We were not allowed access to the tape of the conversation 10 - We were not allowed any other contact information for their legal department than snail mail 11 - We were advised that we would be able to cash the check they sent to us, and if further adjustments were made they would issue a 2nd check - However the check clearly states that if we endorse it they are no longer obligated to do anything 12 - IF the check will not then be re-issued free of charge they have constructed the 90 days as a way to prevent us from recouping any monies by contacting the legal department
