Walnut Cowboys Stole our money and made my son do excessive Diets to play for their league. I'm am contacting the BBB and every news channel I can. I was told by these coaches to put my son on an extreme diet to make certification. I was pressured after every practice and I have witnesses for him to be on a diet said by the coaches. He wasn't going to make weight so Coach Chris told us to say we went on vacation and to come to the next certification. I was told when we signed up by Robyn Medina the weight was 125 for his age and my husband J. Encinas went to the AD meeting and was told 120 lbs. We were lied too, taken advantage of, been treated poorly by Yvette Hall and this is our first time playing tackle.
When we signed up no one throughly explained any of the papers, we rushed through to pay, give our birth certificate, report card check, get sized for uniforms and the physical in 110 degree heat at Snow Creek Park. The new familes that join do not feel welcomed and it is sad. I had a family of two who followed me to this league. This league fought to change the age limit for the Peewees so he can to be tortured by his coaches to loose 15 pounds as a 13 yrs old. Attached are pictures of my son I sent to Fox 11 News. There is no fat on his body. I just asked for a partial refund and still was told no.
I called you a few times and never got a return call. How is this fair for a non profit organization? Walnut Valley Cowboys does not care about these kids or familes. We threw $270 in the toilet Because we were drawn in by being rushed. We should have never been pressured by coaches the way we were so they would have a stacked team. It is awful how we are still being treated. I feel like my son was abused by this league mentally to loose weight. Now he is constantly weighing himself. The league put him on scale after every practice. Taking 30 mins after every practice about his weight. I'm a child advocate and my voice will be heard. Beware read all documents and choose and league that is more welcoming...
