A National Law allows and requires Pharmacies to scan the back of a driver’s license, when the customer is purchasing a pseudoephedrine product that could be used in the making of meth.

However, there is NO national law that would allow for the scan of a customer’s driver’s license for any other product. Also, NO state law that would allow this to happen. And NO requirement for any scan at any time.

But, a medical doctor in New Jersey began scanning every patient’s driver’s license for every office visit. Even though all of the patient information was included in the initial paperwork for that patient. In theory this was to prevent patient duplication or a patient passing themselves off as someone else. In the case presented in the attached website, the patient refused and left for a doctor somewhere else.

Additional stores have begun to adopt this process, perhaps under dubious claims. Pharmacies and Liquor stores to ‘cut down on underage’ purchases. Target, Best Buy or Victoria Secret – for what reason as their products are not harmful to the public.

My recent experience is yesterday. I stopped smoking cold turkey with my heart attack in May, 1999, but my wife still smokes unfortunately. I stopped at a Walgreen’s location (one that I had not visited at all), not our regular Walgreen’s that has been handling my meds for over 15 years. I intended to purchase 3 packs of cigarettes and was told my license was needed or no sale. After 3 assistant managers explained how this was very important, I complied.

Today, my phone conversation attempt with the Legal Department of Walgreen’s headquarters in Deerfield, IL was intercepted by ostensibly an EA (Executive Assistant) to the CEO. She claimed that some locations were operating on the belief that scanning for cigarette buyers was important. This was all part of HIPPA information for the general welfare of customers. After trying to impact this questionable reasoning and reach the CEO, I doubt I will hear from any responsible management at Walgreen’s.

* Only State Police and Local Police can take your driver’s license from your hands, and only after asking for it.

* What happens to the scanning information. The bar code on the back of the license has two (2) lines and holds all of the same information that is contained on the front of the license. The additional line holds unknown information about you, but experts will not discuss this.

* The scanned information will go to a server, either the company server or an outside company contracted server. Management of each company may or may not converse/disclose what will happen to your scanned information. In some cases, the information may be deleted or in some other cases, the information will be kept and form the basis of a database.

* The consumer has a choice to not agree with the scanning, but then purchase the product elsewhere….or give in.

* In the view of experts, the consumer must contact each store or contracted outside company to inquire and learn what happens to their private information. Good luck……

* The scanning procedure aligns you and your private information to the product and the store --- for what reason ??

* Is this an invasion of privacy, deciding without your knowledge, what you can purchase in the future ? Or just a marketing technique for sales advertising and store inventory. The answers from store management, if at all, differ with the excuses or imagination. This is not HIPPA related in the case of Walgreen’s, evidently so far, they just want to do it…somewhere. And Best Buy or Victoria’s Secret ?

* Perhaps if known by the buying public or Legislative officials, this practice will be stopped. Decisions by the individual for the individual are not the purview of store management far removed from individual activity.

Don't Shop At Walgreen Co.! They Are Seriously The Worst Drug Store Chain In The World! I always get Good Service from CVS and Rite Aid, but Not From Walgreen Co.! I had a Big Problem with them Failing To Honor My Corporate, Legitimate Coupons and Sued Them In Small Claims Court for like $200.00 Dollars. This company is so Cheap that they will Fight Off Any Case, regardless on the amount. It can be Two (2) Cents and they will Still Go To Court Just To Prove A Point! Lol. Anyway, I had already written Negative Reviews about this company in the past, but the reason of Why I am writing another Negative Review is because several weeks after I Sued them and lost in the Los Angeles Superior Court, this Stupid Company Who Does Not Care About Their Customers At All Sent Me Out This Letter Coming From Kathy Hernandez, Executive Response Specialist, Case #: 07930918 Stating That I Can No Longer Be Their Customer! Lol. I Laughed So Hard! How the Hell Can They Prevent Anybody From Shopping In Their Stores is beyond ME? What if I go to one (1) of their stores and pay cash? How will they even know who I am? What if I send somebody to their stores to buy something on my behalf? Do they really have the Time to Monitor Every Customer Who Comes Into Their Stores To Shop? I Seriously Doubt It! Walgreens/Netspend had a game you spend this wheel i won so i was told to pick out my Netspend card.i did a blue Netspend card it had my name on it i was told that they would send it to my address I never received it . i want to know if it was a scam.

Walgreens Sucks Sh*t! They Are The Worst Drug Store/Pharmacy Chain Ever And I Would Not Be Saying This Without Proof! Obviously! I have these Avalon Organics Full Value Coupons that I wanted to use and so I went on to the AvalonOrganics.com website to find out Where They Sell Them.

It turns out that all three (3) Drug Store/Pharmacy chains sell them, including Walgreens, however, when I called several of their stores, they told ME that I could only purchase the Avalon Organics products on their website. I then asked about using my Full Value Coupons on the website and was told that it is Not Possible!

I was extremely Angry and Upset over the FACT that the Avalon Organics are Not Sold In Their Walgreens Stores (by Walgreens' Personal, Stupid, Unprofessional Choice), but only on their Website instead and the Fact that they Refuse To Honor my Full Value Coupons to purchase them from their Website.

Since I was so Angry and Upset, I decided to contact their Customer Service Office and Complain to them about it and basically was told the Same, d**n Thing! However, I did ask if they could transfer some of their online Avalon Organics Products to one of their local Los Angeles stores in order for ME to make the purchase and that was Refused As Well!

I got so Sick and Tired Of Dealing With These Losers from Walgreens, the Worst Drug Store/Pharmacy Chain Ever that I decided to Publish Negative Reviews About This Horrific Experience and to Never Come Back Again! I am Definitely Not Recommending Walgreens To Anyone! RiteAid and CVS do a Much Better Job and Do Not Abuse, nor Control Their Customers like I was by Walgreens back in early March Of 2018.

Why should I pay another $14.99 for two additional passport photos? Is fair to pay 14.99 for taking the pict and print, but is unfair to pay extra $14.99 for only the print of two more photos. The price for a regular print of 4x4 is less than a dollar, and the size of two passport picts is the half of 4x4. Is almost a scam for costumers.

Regarding: Very Serious Complaint

Dear Walgreen Co. Executive:

Good Morning or Good Afternoon to You!

How is your day today in sunny Deerfield, Illinois and/or wherever else You are in the World?

My day is going fine, thank you, except due to the Fact that back on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at approximately 2:00 P.M., I went into your Walgreens location at: 5467 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90036 (323) 525-0646 and had a Horrible, Disgusting Shopping Experience.

I had four (4) Procter & Gamble Coupons to Cover ME for Four (4) Oral-B Toothbrushes and when I got up to the cashier to explain the coupons, he acted like he Never Accepted Legitimate Coupons before and he referred ME to one of his onsite managers whom I believe goes by the name of Sergio A.

Well this so called manager of yours was Extremely Awful and Unhelpful!

The first thing he says is that he can Not Accept My Legitimate Procter & Gamble Coupons and says that there is a number written on each one. Well that was written on each one by another store of whom I was going to purchase the toothbrushes, but did Not because I felt that they were overpriced which is Why I came into Walgreen's instead.

Not only that, but he Refused To Scan The Coupons To Even Verify If They Were Good Or Not!

On Top Of This During Our Conversation, he tells me that he will Be Right Back and took all four (4) of My Coupons Away that were given to ME by Procter & Gamble and when he came back, he Returned Them To Me, but unfortunately he ONLY Returned Three (3) Out Of My Four (4) Coupons

I do Not Know Why one of them went missing!

I was so angry and disgusted with his Very Poor Manners, Business Class and Store Unprofessionalism that I just left the store and did Not Say A Word About The One (1) Coupon that he Failed To Return.

Please Note: In all of my years of shopping at Walgreen's, I have yet to experience anything so Bad and Disgusting as this very recent shopping experience.

Defamation, racially profile, falsely accused of previously shoplifting

Complaint: On July 25, 2017 approximately time: 7:20-7:45 P.M. I Crystal L, African American 49 years old, Certified Paralegal and my daughter went into Walgreen to pick up soda & snacks.

I'm new to the San Francisco area from Los Angeles and came from Florida before visiting my son's in San Francisco.

I arrived here by Greyhound with proof records to show. I just arrived about 1 week ago July 20, 2017.

In others words I'd never been to this Walgreen before, first time.

I walked into this Walgreen and were falsely accused, racially profile, my name defame by the female white cashier and her Asian male manager name Ricky.

When I walked into Walgreen wearing a black oversize hoodie like the one Travon Martin wore before being murder.

The weather outside were very windy and cold.

I had a black cross over the shoulder bag with a black shopping bag in my left hand. I wasn't in the store for 2 minutes before I heard the white female cashier shout in a loud voice "she can't come in here" I kept walking.

Again I heard that lady in black can't come back in here, with the black bag". At this point I turned around and said" who me"?

I walked over to the register where she and the Asia young manager said again out loud in front of all the customers and workers " I caught you shoplifting," you can't come back in here" now at this point. I'm standing shocked, mental & emotional distress from their false defame of my character, name reputation. I asked immediately for his name and corporate phone number.

I informed this manager I just moved to San Francisco. This were my first time ever being in this Walgreen.

Even on of the Walgreen worker name Crystal a African American Woman "said the manager was wrong for that.

I desire Compensation for damages in the sum of 25,000.00 or reasonable speedy settlement with corporate.

I desire for this manager to be TERMINATED/Suspended with pay. I desire for him to take a course in race relation that deals with racial profiling blacks in America or anyone from another race.

I desire a 2 week stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel with spa treatment

I desire 1 year store credit to purchase anything I desire

or we can go to court, a attorney can press for more damages, due to your employee being a LIABILITY for the company.

I didn't deserve any of what happen to me.

CHECK STORE VIDEO..THE PUBLIC WILL VERIFY I WASN'T IN THE STORE FOR A GOOD 5 MINUTES BEFORE I GOT TOLD, I WAS'NT ALLOWED IN THE STORE.

I refilled my ususal 20mg Hysingla prescription on the 26th of may, 2017. The pharmacist informed me that i could not pick up the presciption until the 28th wich was no big deal.

I picked up the prescription as directed on the 28th of May. The prescription was dated the 27th of May. About a week into the month I noticed that the bottle did not seem to contain what looked to me like a correct amount of pills. I counted them and Walgreens shorted me three pills.

To my knowlege this has not happened to me before but I will be switching pharmacies. I have been with this pharmacy at this location for eighteen years.

I am afairly certain that complaining to the store would be a wste of my time and sanity.

I have been buying my dogs medication from this place on several occasions. 600MG of GABAPENTIN 60 pills per bottle. Each time I go to get it they charge me like 90 dollars, but when I go to rite aide, it costs me 32 dollars for the same exact thing. My veterinarian only carries 300mg GABAPENTIN 60 pills per bottle at 31 dollars... (which vets charge a hell of a lot more than pharmaceutical companies). Still, 300mg × 2 bottles at a vet will still be 30 dollars less. I've been paying through my nose for this stuff and they need to he reported for charging their own prices for medications that don't cost that much, even if they do charge their own price, fine, but don't rip people off to get richer. It's ridiculous.

Through gross incompetence, the Cleburne Texas Walgreens filled my Metformin (diabetic medication) with a mix of Metformin and a very potent anticonvulsant medication that looked similar and which I had not been prescribed. After inadvertently taking several of the anticonvulsant pills, I had such a severe dizzy reaction, I thought I might be dying and had my son take me for medical treatment. The dizziness remained for several days after ceasing use. Upon returning the pills to the pharmacy, the Walgreens pharmacist acknowledged that the prescription had been incorrectly filled. For the emotional damage and breach of trust to me and my family, I believe Walgreens should compensate me to ensure that they take such errors more seriously.

took a weekend job to help with a wedding. She is a bartender as does this. Need money to release her since she was in an accident. Has travel insurance to cover accident. All I need to do is call American Embassy and talk to officer Harris on how to send $4,000.00 to get her released. Police have her phone.

i make call. Harris instructs me to buy gift cards and call them the numbers. I foolishly did.

called my grand daughters phone. She was at home. She called iTunes and they cancelled the card numbers.

stores have my money. I need your help to retrieve it.
