We went to Vom Buflod after much research. Thinking we were purchasing a high quality GS. Only to be duped. We paid $3,500 for 2nd pick male. After several months we were concerned about his ears not going up. They said oh wait several months give him lots of things to chew on etc... we did everything they said. Ears still floppy. Then Hans recommend gluing them. Did this for months. Ears still floppy. We asked them if they had this problem before. They said NO. Then we found another complaint about ears being floppy. So they lied to us. We asked them to help with the cost of surgery to have his ears stand. They said you had 48 hours to vet check. After that we do nothing to help. Really how did we know his ears wouldn't stand within 48 hours. We have text messages that go way back showing this on going problem. We feel as though we were burnt by these breeders . Definitely think they lack integrity. So dissatisfied with our choice in breeders Would not recommend them to anyone . God forbid you have a major situation they will not be willing to help . Unless it's in 48 hours.

I bought German shepherd puppy from Vom Buflod German shepherd Ohio last year and paid close to $5000 including shipping to Los Angeles. When I revised puppy I called owner Kathy his one ear is down and he walk funny but she said he is pupp and in few weeks he will be fine. So I waited few weeks and told he has still same problem but she said wait till 6 months bec he is large size so it will take time. I waited 6 months and meanwhile I used whatever she recommended like food, vitamins or other supplemen, but still he walk and run funny and his still one ear down. Then she said wait another few months and I did.

Then I text her again and then she said do taping, glue ear and I did and she said wait 3 more months . I did again and now dog is almost one year old but still one ear down and he walk/ run not properly. So I'm trying to call and text her but last one one month no answer. I just want to ask what sho I do but now she does not answer. I just want other people know what happened to us. So before they buy dog from them do research. We love our dog but we spent lot of money on him but we just want we should get what we paid for. When we bought we never thought his one ear will be down and will not run or walk properly.

Sick dogs

I have bought 2 dogs from these breeders one from a 2-2014 litter, second from a 3-2015 litter. Both of my pups are males first died in 8-2017 from a heart fibrosis that did not present with symptoms took him in minutes,at the age of 2. My second male at 4 has been diagnosed with DM. Both dogs have had to be on allergy injections for severe allergies. I to paid for dogs thinking would be my camping and hiking companions for years and I am instead watching a young dog walk with difficulty and trying to come to terms with the fact that I will not have him for long.

Litter born March 20 2015

I bought a brother and sister and their ears never came up. The males ears are worse than the females but she’s smaller too. So very disappointed as we paid over 3 grand for each. We kept the two dogs separated so the ears are not because of them playing rough. It would be nice to see this breeder take accountability for their defective breeding and own up to the ear problem. Anyone with any attorney friends where we could go into a class action suit with the grounds that they did not deliver a dog that met the German Shepherd standard ? I also went through trying to glue and tape their ears to no avail. Another funny thing is that Kathy contacted me via text on March 20 2016 asking for an update on how the puppies were doing. I found out later via the internet that some of he other complaints were that same date? So she was not checking in but checking in to cover her behind. I told her about the ears and sent her pics and she didn’t respond. Wouldn’t recommend this breeder. So disappointed.

One Floppy Ear, Pannus, skin issues and now hip dysplasia

We purchased our Sasha from Vombuflod on July 4th 2014. One ear never stood up. We did not have another dog to rough house with her. We did not touch her ears or pet her ears. We did everything they recommended and still it did not stand. Before she was 6 months of age, both of her elbows swelled and were painful. They did resolve with soft pillows to lie on. She has pannus a chronic superficial keratitis and is an immune-mediated condition affecting the cornea or clear part of the eye. It occurs primarily in middle-aged German shepherd dogs, but other breeds may also be affected. She has had this since about the age 2 she is now 4 and has to have daily eye drops for the rest of her life. She has an allergy to some unknown source where her chin breaks out and bleeds. The most devastating is the diagnosis of hip dysplasia. We are scheduled to get hip xrays to definitively diagnose it but our vet says just about 100%. She has lost muscle tone in both back hips and is in a lot of pain. Like the others who have complaints against these breeders we paid $3,000 for what we thought was a high quality, great bloodline GSD and what we got is a chronically ill dog. I emailed them tonight letting them know about all of the issues and especially the hip dysplasia.
