We went into South Town Volkswagen to get me a car and get my daughter a new one while turning her 2016 VW Jetta in.
They pulled our credit and there was a medical collection on her credit. They told us if we got that removed then they could get both of us a car. Found out the collection was filed incorrectly, got this resolved within 5 days. Went back to SouthTowne VW and told the GM, manager and salesman that we got it removed and it is off her credit. They pulled her credit again and it was gone and her scores were way up. They started working on showing us cars and working on the deals.
My daughter was not able to get the Truck she wanted which we should of left then but they talked her into getting a Jetta Rline and told me the only car I could get was a Jetta that was used for a loaner, one of the salesman showed me the one car that they said they could get me in even after showing me other cars that I really liked. I looked at the car and ended up liking it if this is the one that would work. Once we got going with the deal and them now telling us we needed $2000 down on each car we were able to go sign the paperwork.
They got us signed and sent on our way.
I was told that they would have my car financed and completed within that week but after two weeks they called and said that they were unable to get me approved that I had to return the car. After them telling us before we fixed my duaghter credit that once that was fixed then they could get both of us cars, new cars they told me I was denied. They get my daughter to trade her car in and get her financed then turn me down. They set us up to get a deal from her and then turn me down.
I would not trust them on anything they say, they will keep you going then wait to turn you down. I have heard from numerous people that said they would never go there again and never trust them again.
PLEASE DONT DO IT THEY WILL LIE TO YOU
They kept telling me that it was my job that they didnt think it was real. I am contracted through this company I have a contract and they pay me checks. I dont get pay stubs so they printed out the information. Not only did this hurt me at work for them slandering my company they caused problems with me at work.
I am not sure how anyone ever goes there to get a car because if they lied to us like they did then they will do the same to you.
DONT TRUST THEM.
Their service department is probably the worst in the state of Utah. Not only do they ignore you when you walk back there but they are horrible at customer service and dont get me going on how horrible they are at getting cars ready for you to take. wow, that sucks too.
I have a friend that went there after her car accident for them to check a few things it took her going back for the 4th time for them to say yeah, that is an issue so now she has to pay for it instead of the insurance company. Who would ever be that bad that they could not figure out the problem and the owner of the car did and then they didnt listen to her to just check it.
When I went in with my daughters car before we traded in hers I asked them where to find what fuses are where since the display panel was never put on the fuse box in the engine, they told me to check all of them to see which one was out. What kind of service department would not just walk out with you to help you find out which one it was or even just look it up for you. Horrible service.
