They claimed to be a disability lawyer, so i paid them in may 2017 $500. Heard nothing till oct 2017 and that was a fax they sent me claiming to retain them as my lawyer. Then in dec 2017 I recieved all the proof that I was disabled. I then tried to contact them calling (1-800-308-0793) and emailing them threw the email they set up on my case on there web site.
I started by everyday then in Jan every couple days, then Feb 15 last time I tried. Here it is March 22, 2018 and still nothing back, yet i have the proof they need and my retaine money. I am going to screen shot all messages for proof of convos, but i cannot with phone calls though in email it is stated I called and when numerous times but not all of them are mentioned.
Paid this company $1800 to help with bankruptcy and gave them the necessary paperwork only for my lawyer to conveniently resign and them refusing to refund the money.
No Services ever rendered only kept my deposit! I represented myself in a few days later! They never contacted me again or return my calls. Until after my court date! No paperwork ever filed or anything
Recieved Notice of judgement that Imy home was being given to mortgage co made contact with Volks &Anwalt via Google for assistance to stop legal process assure me not to worry after speaking with intake that not to worry after paying retainer about any further actions from court that they would contact lenders and stop any futher actions sent packet with docunments third party releases and contract that they were representing me later sent forms for modification and loan assumtion completed all forms signed all documents returned then only to 2months later recieve notice of Sherrif sale made contact witb lender and dicovered Volks &Anwalt never made contact with lenders or their legal representation ater paying a total of 2500.00 dallar stop communitcation had to place stop payment on future payments to them after telling me that all payments except initial down payment would be returned if they could not save property or if I needed to file banckruptcy the money would go toward it.
Volks Anwalt was supposed to help me in an illegal foreclosure sale of my home. The bank in question Fargo Wells Fargo does not have any loan documents on my mortgage and also held a foreclosure sale without my knowledge. I hired a law firm in hopes that they would do what they said which was get me out of the illegal sale and fight the illegal forclosure. Instead they did not file proper paperwork with the courts, missed my court dates and finalized paperwork as a final writ that I would be homeless with a Marshall as of 3/4/2017 when I had no reason to be thrown out. Due to their negligence I have lost over 15grand of my money in lawyers fees and moving fees and I am not a well woman I am severely disabled and needed my home. They have left me homeless when in research I found I could have filed chapter 13 bankruptcy and they could have easily won this case if they only followed through. Now the number I have to call them is not valid and when I do try and get a number to get through I am sent to voicemail as no one will speak to me at the firm. It was a complete scam that cost me my living situation and could cost me my live as stress like this with my illness caused severe effects to my health.
On November, 28th 2016 I contact Volks Anwalt of New York, I spoke with Yvonne Geddie, one of the companies Paralegal she informed me that they were lawyers who help stop foreclosure she did all the necessary paperwork I filled out papers I signed papers that was required for me to fill out I also downloaded the forms for a modification fill them out submitted them back to Volks Anwalt.Miss Geddie, told me there was a fee of $2,500 which they deducted from my bank account on December 3rd $800 on January 3rd another $500 and $500 on February the 3rd which I think left me like a payment and a half left. I received a letter from my mortgage company Select Portfolio on the 9th of February 2016 which is today stating that either I could do a short sale of my home or pay the amount that I was behind on my mortgage I contact Volks Anwalt of New York today. No one could speak to me they had to make me an appointment for someone to call me this is what I've been going through since the 28th of November and I feel like that is a scam that they are running and they are really not lawyers I found out today here in Baltimore Maryland from a lawyer that is very well known that they were bandit from the State of Maryland as far as filing bankruptcy for any clients here in the State of Maryland so I left them a message stating that to them today but I have not heard from anyone.
Oh my. I'm losing my home, and these predators have taken money from me, I just read about Nicole Hall and I am so mad at myself for giving them $1000. I can't find them again!
My fiance was arrested for a crime that he did not commit. So immediately we started looking for a lawyer. I should have done it myself, but he did it on his own. Anyways, we set up a payment plan with volks anwalt to make it easier on us. It sounded wonderful. We needed someone other than a public defender to represent him. After volks anwalt received most of the $2,500 retainer they stopped doing what they promised. They rarely answered the phone. When they do that are rude, tell us something we already know, and them hang up abruptly. They did get the court case moved back a month, that's about it. A lawyer never showed up to court. Hell, we don't even know the lawyers name that was appointed to us. Now, we have no money to hire another attorney and my fiance has to go to court alone and will probably be convicted of something he didn't do. I want to know what we can do. Can we sue them?? Can we all get our money back?
