Hello! I spent over $800 to get tickets to a basketball game and the website showed me they were lower level seats. After ordering them through Vivid Seats I went online and found other sites that showed these seats as nosebleed seats.

Just to be safe I called Vivid back directly to inquire and confirm. For some reason no one could figure out where my seats were after multiple transfers so the person I was connected to in ticket sales said they would reach out to the seller, and not worry because if they weren't lower level seats I could have my money refunded.

This was the morning of 3/26 and the event was the evening of 3/27 and they said they would get back to me right away to confirm if they weren't in the area I was shown. No one called me back so I went to the event under the assumption that I was getting lower level seats. The seats were so high up that after spending $800+ dollars for tickets I had to watch the game on a TV in the bar ares :(

The worst part is that after I left the event I checked my phone and Vivid Seats left me a voicemail after the event started letting me know my tickets were "way up high" and it was obvious by the message left that Vivid Seats purposely waited until it was too late for me to request my money back to inform me I was mislead. When I called back Vivid Seats about the problem they continued to act very scammy...telling me I was going to get a call shortly from a manager and not to worry.

After 2 days of no call I decided to call back to check in...and was informed that they "resolved my ticket internally" and wouldn't let me speak to a manager. I've been in sales and customer service for almost 30 years and they've handled me from start to finish was a disgrace and I pray you read this and avoid the nightmare I've found myself stuck in!

Vivid tickets will not issue a refund or give a ticket credit for a postponed or cancelled event. I purchased 3 Texas Ranger tickets for an April opener. Due to Covid-19, games were postponed.

MLB just released their season games. My teams are not on the schedule. They said they are still "reviewing" the status.

I filed a credit card dispute with them and now they stopped communication with me.

Vivid Seats I bought some tickets from Vivid Seats. After purchasing a few, they offered me a 10% discount on my next ticket. So, I bought again. 40% service charge on two $ 20 baseball tickets, but NO DISCOUNT.

When I e-mailed them about this, they responded by saying that my purchase did not qualify (no reason given). These guys are SCAMMERS. Buy your tickets from anyone else.

I am not dealing with these people ever again.

I bought tickets to the Paul McCartney concert in Dallas cost me $300...I spent weeks trying to get the barcodes to get in the concert and all they could tell me was all sales are final even though they didn't produce the tickets... And now they won't give me my money back either.

I disputed it through my credit card company and would you believe Vivid Seats sent to my credit card company their documents for their rebuttal to my dispute...They sent someone else's documents and evidently that persons dispute is $1,005! It's for a bowl game in another state and I believe it's for 3 tickets... MY concert was June.

I bought tickets yesterday to an event today. After the took my order on the internet I did not receive my tickets. I onlne chatted and they said you will have tickets emailed within 2 hours. YEAP, 2 hours and still no email. Next morning still no email and no tickets.

I was then told tickets will be to me any minute, 2 hours before the show they have to email me tickets!!!! NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT. 2 hours before event and still no tickets! NOW 5 minutes before event im told the SELLER did could not get the tickets so no tickets for me! I WAS AT THE EVENT INLINE!!!

Im now told I will get a VIVID seats credit, not a refund!!! VIVID SEATS DO NOT HAVE TICKETS TO SELL, THEY ARE SCALPERS AND THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK FOR TICKETS FOR YOU, UP UNTIL 2 HOURS OF THE EVENT!!!! DO NOT EVER BUY TICKETS FROM THEM EVER!!!!! IF THEY CANT FIND YOU TICKETS YOU ARE OUT YOUR MONEY !!!

We purchased tickets to the Tom Jones concert on June 1, 2018. We paid a premium for these seats and were provided with tickets that were dishonored by the venue, Paramount Theatre in Seattle. When we called Vivid Seats they promised an investigation but weaseled out of any promise to make it right. Vivid Seats is a middle-man scheme that gets between unverified sellers and the public. They give a legitimate internet face to scumbags hawking worthless paper. My hope is that you will read this and not be burned by Vividseats. If you are burned, dispute the charge with your credit card company. Don't waste your time or energy with their 'investigation,' which is nothing more than cover as they attempt to avoid taking responsibility while sheltering under a click-wrap agreement that protects their financial interests while screwing the public.

I purchased tickets for a show. Reviewed the seating chart - everything looked great on the screens that I was viewing. There was NO MENTION AT ALL of an obstructed view. ( I have screen shots of it ) After I clicked, " agree to terms" and purchase , my tickets showed up as OBSTRUCTIVE VIEW.

I did not want and I did not purchase an obstructed view- so - I contacted Vivid Seats immediately. (literally within seconds) They refused to refund me my monies, saying I agreed to their terms and that all sales were final.

I guess that's how you make a compnay that makes 64 million a year. By having false advertising and ripping off people for it. I recommend using other ticket processing sites instead..

FRAUDS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR DAY-OF TICKETS. They will take your money and not deliver on the tickets. Customer service will not return your money and upper management will not call you back. (Also they have to upstanding reputation with consumer interest groups like BBB. They have a 93% dissatisfaction rate with the BBB)

We bought tickets to a game a few minutes before it started and we never got the email with the information needed to accept the tickets to actually get into the game. We argued with the customer service representative, for thirty minutes about how we couldn’t get into the game because we never received the email.

THIS COMPANY IS A HUGE RIP OFF. THERE IS NO REASON TO USE THIS COMPANY AS THEIR HIDDEN FEES DON’T MAKE THEM CHEAPER THAN USING A REPUTABLE COMPANY LIKE STUB HUB OR TICKETMASTER.

We jumped through all sorts of hoops that you never have to do with Stub Hub or Ticket Master in their stupid registration process. All their other emails showed up instantly except the one with the actual information we needed to get our tickets,

Furthermore, when comparing prices, Vivid Seats, DECEIVES YOU by not telling you about their $25 fee per ticket until you are partially through the buying process. If we were aware of the ridiculous fees, and all the hoops you have to go through to get the ticket, we would have used a company we trust where you truly receive the tickets instantly.

How much longer should we have stood outside the stadium, waiting on an email that didn’t come into my husband’s inbox until an hour and a half after the game started? We screen shot the phone when they finally came in. NOT ONLY ARE WE OUT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS, BUT MISSED THE PLAYOFF GAME ALTOGETHER. THESE GUYS ARE FRAUDS.

I purchased theater tickets the day of the performance and never received them! I had to call customer service 4 separate times over the course of the 4 hours leading up to the play and was continually told that my tickets should arrive within the next 30 minutes - 1 hour. Finally, 1 hour before the start time I was told that I should have just received my tickets as it showed up as sent on the company's end. Well I never received anything!

To make matters worse it has been 2 weeks and now the company is refusing to issue me a refund. Horrible horrible customer service and a downright scam.

I purchased five tickets from Vivid for Mickey's Halloween Party. Despite their "100% buyer guarantee," the tickets were void and we were denied entry. We were told at the ticket booth that Vivid is the worst offender for selling void Disney tickets. Vivid then ignored several email and website contacts for a refund. I had to file a claim with my Credit Card company. Lesson learned: do not purchase any Disney tickets from a third party vendor. You will be very disappointed

  • Oct 5, 2017

I thought I was buying two tickets for $143. Total charge was $177.45. You don't find out about this until you have already purchsed.

  • Sep 21, 2017

I purchased some tickets for a concert on 9/12/17 that I thought just went on pre-sale. My huge mistake is that the tickets for the concert didn't actually go on pre-sale until 9/13/17. I paid $120 per ticket plus their outragous services when the actual cost of the tickets were $46 plus service fees. I tried to cancel this order within 24 hours of purchase and Vivid wouldn't cancel my order or refund my money. I've emailed them and have recieved no response. Tried the live chat and no agent responded. Called customer service many times and no picks up the phone. I finally pretended like I was buying new tickets and someone picked up right away, big surprise! They transfered me to customer support, who did hang up on me when I didn't accept the fact they wouldn't cancel my order. i called back and was offered a credit to my account for $30 which I refused because I wanted my order cancel.

The customer service agents name is Megan and didn't provide me with her last name. She kept referring to their terms and conditions that all sales were final. So, I looked at their terms and conditions It clearly states that prohibited conduct is speculative selling and that all sellers are will not engage in that on their website. Correct me if I am wrong but selling tickets that someone doesn't currently own or there is a market for is speculative selling. I've asked for proof that they seller did have these tickets and was denied that proof. I've confirmed with the band management that no tickets were made available before pre-sale through the venue or any other relationships. Again, this is a classic example of speculative selling. I've emailed Vivid a number of times, no reason, called back again to support via buying new tickets and was told their offer of $30 still stood and Megan failed to explain to me how this wasn't speculative selling and yes, she hung up on me again! This isn't an instance of a season ticket holder having the rights to a sporting event in the future. This is someone speculating on the market price of the tickets before they go on pre-sale in order to make a profit. Why is it so hard to explain why this isn't specualtive selling which is prohibited on their website? Which is funny, is they have blocked my phone number from calling back to their sales desk. My calls now go directly to their support line, which no one picks up!!!!! Rip off artists!!!!

My husband is active military, we have 8 childrent. He was home from assignment for our anniversary weekend so I decided to plan a special weekend away for us to celebrate. I purchsed tickets well in advance to Dave Chapelle through vivid seats and paid almost $400 for great seats up front. They emailed my my tickets, I printed them off to bring with us the night of. That weekend of we stayed in a nice resort and had fancy dinner reservations then on to the show. We drove down town, found parking, walked about half a mile, and stood in line. When we got to the attendant she scanned our tickets and said we could not enter but directed us to the box office. At the window they took our ID and tickets. When they came back they said that vivid seats had sold us fraudulent tickets, they were under someone elses name and we could not enter the event. They were sold out completely so we could not purchase any other tickets that night. They recommended we call our credit card company to have them reverse the charges because we got scammed.

After calling our credit card company, we also called vivid seat to complain and ask them how this could happen as their website clearly states that they guarantee every ticket 100%. They didn't guarantee ours!! They sent us an email to file a complaint but we never heard back from them after many calls and emails. Finally about a week later I was able to get ahold of a very rude customer service agent who said she could not discuss any information with me regarding my disput because we had called our credit card company... What the $#&@. They ruined my anniversary weekend, scammed money from me, and couldn't give me any answers.

This is a crap company, and Eric and Jerry scammed me and my husband from a weekend of memories and $400. They stranded us at the box office. Whoever they have as their customer service manager needs to be fired. If their not giving Legendary customer service their not up to par and will not have customers coming back. All me and my husband really wanted was to go see Dave Chapelle. I will never trust this company again, I will never buy from vivid seats again. Do not believe what their website says, there is no guarantee you will be buying legit tickets. Run from this company. Buy directly from ticket master and feel safe.

Worst customer service....soon to be out of business with their attitude. We went online to buy two tickets for a football game in Boulder CO. Somehow their site picked 6 tickets and not the two we wanted. After the purchase was completed within 5 minutes my wife saw the mistake and contacted the company. The customer service person said too bad the sale is final. We said you have not even proccesed the purchase...please cancel. So, we contacted American Express to dispute the charge. I gave the company another call to talk with management and explain what happened so we could fix the proublem and move on. The manager was a jerk, he too said all sales are final. They offered to sell the tickets for us and charge us for the transaction. They all suck! The attitude and policy of this company will cause them to fail. Don't by anything from them. There are too many other companies out there to chose from that care about their customers.

  • Aug 14, 2017

They SUCK !! Rip you off on service charges...at least $40 more than all other sites.

Would talk over me when trying to explain my satisfaction..Charged $42.00 for 2 Theresa Caputo tickets, I thought it was $21.00 total S.C....would not work with me. Rude theives just out to RIP YOU OFF...should be shut down...BEWARE!

Purchased two Mavericks concert tickets $195.68 on internet with credit card. No tickets were received. We drove 110 miles out of town with receipt and order number. Security at concert told us Vivid Seats is a scalping scam. Someone at concert gave us free tickets. Did Vivid Seats have an arrangement with Mavericks? If not someone in Chicago is selling fraudulent concert tickets, theft of credit card charges. We will also report this to our bank.

  • Jul 20, 2017

My credit card was charged for $605.78 for U2 concert tickets completely across the country from me.

I never purchased these tickets nor attended the concert.

they have my personal information and my credit card company is claiming the charges are valid.

this is a complete rip-off and I never made this purchase. I think they got my personal info from Ticketmaster and used my credit card info on file.

  • Jun 21, 2017

I purchased and paid by a credit card theatre tickets from Vivid Seat. They confirmed the purchase with me and told the tickets were to come by UPS express mail. I called VIVID to ask when will the tracking # be provided. I called back several times. Each time confirmed the tickets were on their way. They also said, UPS will send the tracking #.

Once again, later in the evening called and then the excuses began. Saying they couldnt reach me. I told them to look at the notes the sales people were writing. After reading the notes, they made up different excuses. Pretty much blaming the consumer, (me), which was inappropriate.

Lesson learned.. I will never buy theatre tickes from VIVID. A word of caution , be an imformed consumer.

I placed a pair of tickets for sale for a Metallica concert in Houston, TX at the NRG Stadium on 06/11/2017. The tickets sold on 06/09/2017. I uploaded the tickets to VividSeats.com, for the Buyer to download later that evening on 06/09/2017. The transaction had been finalized, and all seemed to be okay. The day of the event (06/11/2017), I received an email at 6:50pm saying,

"We recently notified you that the customer for Order #13991618 experienced a problem when attempting to gain entry to the event. As we have not received sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the customer did in fact receive valid tickets commensurate with their order, we have issued the charge(s) below to cover the expenses incurred in resolving this issue for the customer.

If additional expenses were incurred, the amount below may be greater than your original payment amount of $1000.80.

Total Cost to Resolve: $2001.

60

If you have been remitted payment for this order already, the original payment amount may be recouped via PayPal or by charging the card on file.

If payment has not been remitted to you, you are only responsible for the difference of the total cost to resolve the issue listed above and the original payment amount, if applicable."

However, I never received any notification of anything prior to this email. The Buyer should not have had any issues gaining access to the venue, I called NRG Stadium to verify and the tickets were scanned in. Vivid Seats claimed that the Buyer did not have access to the PIT, when they did in fact have access. PIT means standing room only (on the FLOOR in front of the stage), and I specifically listed it is a General Admission ticket, which does not constitute access to any VIP locations or any other locations for that matter. And now Vivid Seats has refunded the Buyer, charged me $1000.80, and allowed the Buyer access to a free show. This is not right, and I will stand for it. I will contact a consumer law attorney if not resolved.

Desired Resolution:

Refund of $1000.80, plus the total of sale that was finalized (minus Vivid Seats fees), which is an additional $1000.80, for a total of $2001.60. I expect $2001.60 back as a resolution.

Concert for May 9 2017 Tony Bennett was cancelled and Vivent Seats the SCALPER refused to refund the money for the show and upcharged my seats $186 more then the price of the ticket. Made numerous attempts to contact Vivent Seats and was refused the refund

I placed and paid for an order for Miss Saigon tickets in NYC for April 7 through Vivid Seats. Then AFTER I placed the order I received a notification that the seller would be ready to send the tickets on April 6, THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT!! This, of course is unacceptable from any reasonable point of view. I then IMEDIATEDLY called Vivid seats requesting that they either change the delivery date or method or refund my payment. The representative, Jessie, who claimed to be a manager, refused to help in ANY way at all. I then went on line and was shocked to see that I am by no means alone in the experience I've had! In fact the reviews were so bad (at SEVERAL different review sites), that I'm wondering whether I should ask my state's Attorney General's office to take a good look at Vivid Seats, as it would appear from their website, that they do a fair amount of business in my state, and they have MANY MANY complaints. I am VERY dissatisfied not only with their operating policies, but with their utter disregard for client satisfaction. I will never purchase so much as a movie ticket from this company!

  • Jan 3, 2017

Vivid rescheduled my event to a date that I cannot attend. They will help see my tickets for a fee. I cannot exchange for another date or cancel/return my order. This is bad for consumers where we are penalized by buying tickets for an event that is rescheduled and then we get stuck with having to pay a fee to sell them and if they can even be resold it will be for far less an amount than what we paid for sure. So basically i bought tickets i cannot use, can't fully recoup my money and i will have to pay a fee to sell on top of that. Then, once again go buy more tickets and have to pay more ticket fees and surcharges. What a ripoff!

  • Jan 1, 2017

Literally the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Tickets said they would be at will call at venue. Come to find out, they were SUPPOSED to send me an email stating that I was to meet a shady fellow outside of the venue an hour beforehand, yet they never sent the email to me. When I arrived at the venue and my tickets were not at will call, I called their customer service and was told that the shady fellow had already left and was not responsible for answering his phone to determine WHERE he was with my tickets and that whoops too bad I was out 700 dollars. As if this wasn't bad enough, after getting off the phone with the rudest woman I've ever spoken to and finding out I was all dressed up with nowhere to go, I find out that the shady fellow had just scalped my tickets and pocketed the money. I tried calling the company back to tell them what happened and they blamed me and told me it was MY fault that he had sold my tickets. Ridiculous scam of a company ever made.

Order tickets for az coyotes hockey game the ticket price was 94 when we enter all credit card info the price was still 94 then when info was entered you press agree than the confirmation page read 120 a piece total scam I complained to the office a representative phoned said that the total cost was shown before the confirmation page but that was a total lie There should be a class action lawsuit against thes people because they deliberately. Rip people off!

I went on to vividseats.com. I selected 6 seats at $32 for plaza level seating.

I then selected the link clearly marked BUY in bold red letters. This prompted me to the next screen,

Login or Register, which I went ahead and logged in.

Then next screen selected delivery method, which I selected Email delivery.

Then the next screen was Billing Information, which I entered in all of my billing and clicked CONTINUE.

Then I got my receipt of $960.00. The total should have been around $200 for the 6 tickets at $32, as selected.

NOWHERE DID I SEE $960.00 total.

Within a few minutes I called vividseats and explained to them that something happened in checkout. They said the tickets were around $130 each. I told them over and over again that that was incorrect and I selected $32 tickets from the dropdown and selected BUY. I spoke to 4 different customer service people that day as well as my bank.

Vividseats told me there was nothing that they can do.

My account was $960 short for 4 whole days.

Customer service is clearly NOT important to them as they clearly SCAM their customers out of money. I asked them to refund and give me the $32 seats so I can stay a customer, that was not an option they said.

After this happened, I went online and found countless other complaints about this company. The same exact thing had happened over and over again.

There are complaints ALL over the internet with the same exact story!

I bought a ticket for Roger Waters at the Pepsi Center in Denver for a show in June.

I paid for the ticket on line through their site and then I notice how much I paid in fees.

They charged me nearly $75 in service fees and nearly $25 to overnight ship me my ticket, In June!!!

How can they charge me overnight shipping for somethng they aren't going to send for more than seven months from now.

I just feel so ripped off right now. I wish I would have shopped around before I gave these con artists all that money.

  • Oct 25, 2016

I bought two expensive tickets ($380 each) on Vivid Seats... I went through the checkout process and never saw tax etc... at some point I must have 'confirmed the purchase' because I got a receipt for $980... completely unitemized... I immediately called customer service and was told "sorry, there was a $180 service charge in the sidebar. you didn't see it? sorry. no we can't cancel it..." Three levels of customer service and they offered me $50 in store credit-LOLOL... that's not even a third of the service charge.... Needless to say I'm disputing with credit card and telling them on social... in the meantime, I'd avoid them and stick to reputable sites like Stubhub

  • Oct 3, 2016

I purchased 2 tickets from Vivid Seats for a sporting event in another state. They claim they left the tickets on my doorstep in the pouring rain without a signature. I feel they should have required a signature and at least try to contact the seller to see if the tickets could be reissued. Instead Vivid Seats stated they could not reissue the tickets and thats $600 gone to waste.

SCAMMERS

I clicked to buy 6 tickets for $28 each and ended up being charged $300 -- I called to ask for my money back but they refused!!! They said the fees were listed but as previous reviewers stated, the prices WERE NOT THERE. Deceptive practice - this company should be closed down - they are SCAMMERS

  • Aug 11, 2016

On june 11, 2016 I had place an order for two tickets to a musical show on line through a company based out of Chicago "VIVID SEATS".

I placed two items in the cart, amount to be payed showed $150.00. so to be clear two items = $150.00

When I place my order for these two tickets through my PayPal account ONLY NOW did the amount state $336.00. !

Four minutes later I called VIVID SEATS, the representative on the phone told me that once the payment was made there was zero chance of canceling the order or a refund.

VIVID SEATS did not show the full amount they are charging for this product until AFTER payment was made, this must be fraud by any one's standard.

No one in there right mind is going to pay 336.00 for two tickets to an obscure artists in a small venue in Vermont, only if they have been robbed.

I now have received the physical tickets, the price on them states 59.00 a piece, thats 118.00 total !

Once again I would like to be clear, VIVID SEATS did not show the full amount they were charging for these tickets until I payed, then they state you have no recourse, it could have been 10,000$ for that matter.

Deceptive and predatory website practices

More of the same complaint. Vivid Seats business model appears to be predicated upon deceptive pricing and web-based purchase flow. Don't even check the website for pricing, let alone proceed to input any credit card info.

  • Jul 24, 2016

In late june, myself and a friend found out that kanye west was performing in columbus, oh. My friend instructed me to purchase tickets from vividseats.com, which i was weary about since i had never heard of the website. However, i trusted my friend’s logic and purchased the tickets for $342.41. I was then notified that the tickets would ship around 9/18, a few days before the concert. Strange, but i didn’t think too deeply about it.

This morning, i had a dream about vividseats.com being fraud. I immediately looked up tracking, which said the tickets had been “delivered”, but did not have any accurate tracking info about where they were shipped from. I contacted the website through chat, in which the service members i chatted with were completely robotic, sending me macros and being dismissive. They told me to check with neighbors to see if they had received the tickets. They also blamed ups. My neighbors would not withhold my mail from me from over a month. Ups always delivers my mail on time. All of this was sketchy.

I’m not understanding their 100% guarantee policy, but still being unable to pay me back. I want a refund immediately and i’m truly on a quest to make sure they’re poorly reviewed on every website. They are targeting people and do not care whether they receive their tickets or not. They are shady and their company should be shut down for conducting a fraudulent business.

  • Jun 28, 2016

I was looking for 1 Dead and Company Ticket. I had to create an account on Vivid Seats in order to see the total cost of the ticket.I followed all the requirements to create an account including my payment info to keep on file and hit submit. I logged out of the Vivid Seats site and found a ticket at face value ($144) on another site.

When I checked my email, Vivid Seats had sent me a confirmation for 4 tickets at a price of $1348.64. I never confirmed the purchase of any tickets on their site.

I immediately called them and they said they could not refund. I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold and finally hung up. Someone from Vivid Seats called back about 30 minutes later and after I explained the situation that I was only looking for 1 ticket and would never have purchased 1 ticket for $337.16, let alone 4 tickets. I could hear several people laughing in the background.

The person offered me a $145.00 refund on my debit card and told me I could sell the tickets on their site or another one. I put the tickets on sale on their site.

If they are sold, I will have to pay Vivid Seats a 10% service charge. In order to get my money back I will have to charge over $300 a ticket.

What a scam!

Vivid Seats is worse than a scalper! Please do not use the Vivid Seats site!

  • Jun 22, 2016

I'm surprised that the government has not yet stepped in. This is a HUGE ponzi scheme. They have their ducks in a row when it comes to refunds and credit card disputes. When you click submit you are agreeing to their " terms and conditions ", which include, hidden fees, fraudulent tickets, undelivered tickets, cancelled shows. They have a A+ rating on BBB site because they respond to complaints with the same message. BBB rating is not based on complaints but rather based a response from them. Again, they always respond with same message. I've done my reasearch on this company ever since they stole 632.00 from me. I'm making it my mission to out this company! !! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM VIVID SEATS and please tell everyone you know!!!

  • Jun 2, 2016

I attempted to order tickets online to a concert. The venue was listed as Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA and tickets were $124 each. There was no indication of the service charges. When I clicked on purchase, the confirmation showed that I had "authorized" the purchase of tickets to a venue in TEXAS and that services charges of $46 PER TICKET had been added on.

I called Vividseats to tell them I do not live in Texas and did not buy tickets to a venue there, but they said "All sales are final" and "you ordered these tickets and cannot change them." When I explained that I did not order tickets to a concert in a different state (let alone at $400 more than was indicated on the website), they refused to correct the error!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VIVIDSEATS!

  • May 9, 2016

Vivid Seats is a complete scam company that misrepresented concert tickets and sent me tickets with someone elses name on them and in a section that I did not request. I contacted customer service and after they finished reading their prepared statement that, "If you cannot get into the concert they would refund my money!" then they refused to refund my money. This is outragous and is not a risk anyone should take! Not to mention the outrageous upcharge from the normal seat pricing. Vivid Seats of Chicago does business by trying to intimidate by calling me and trying to yell and keep me from speaking.

It's the Chicgo way!!! This is a complete scam company that has over 500 plus complaints to the BBB in the last six months and continues to do business in this fraudulent manner. Why does the US attorney not step in the put a stop to what is nothing more than Ticket Scalping Scam, hiding behind a company name. This is simply wrong and I will do whatever it takes to get this resolved and to report them to as many federal, state and local agencies including my own Idaho State attorneys office so this illegal practice stops!

I looked for tickets for James Taylor - I though I was on the webiste for the actual arena. The first screen was the arena diagram with drop-down screens with different ticket prices. I bought 2 tickets in the $85 section. I assumed that 2 x $85 was $170 (plus tax and shipping) - boy was I wrong!

I went through the other screens - name, address, credit card, etc. etc - one of, if not the last, screen - past the "confirm and buy" screen, the price of $485 popped in front of my face. It went by quick. I thought "Did I really see $485? Can't be".

My e-mail reciept was very detailed - the event, the section, the date, etc - but it didnt' contain the price. What "receipt" does not contain the price paid? I also go an e-mail "confirmation" - again, it contained the details of the ticket, but not the price.

I e-mailed the company - "How much did I spend on those tickets?" - They sent me a link to access my account. Still no price, but more cliicks. I finally got my answer - it was $485 for $170 worth of face-value tickets!!!

This was obviously not an accident. Their website is designed the mislead consumers in my opinion. I asked for a refund and they told me to pound sand.

Fraudulent Purchase

I only chose 1 star because it is required to submit a review. Vivid Seats does not deserve any stars.

I purchased 2 tickets in November 2015 to a Garth Brookes concert on January, 15 2016 for $223. The tickets themselves cost $68.75, the rest of the costs were fees that I was not aware of until after the tickets were purchased. I didn't receive (via email) the tickets until the night before the event.

A friend and I went to the concert and were told that one of the tickets was invalid and the other would not even scan. Both my friend and I tried to contact Vivid Seats via their (800) number. We were routed to an automated message that asked you to email [email protected], it did not give any other options, i.e. to talk with a representative or to leave a voicemail.

My friend and I had to purchase 2 new tickets in order to see the show.

I called Pay Pal (how I paid for the tickets) the next morning and they put me in touch Vivid Seats.

I filed a dispute with Vivid Seats the next morning claiming that the tickets were not valid. I them a copy of the tickets and offered to send in the receipts from purchasing the new tickets.

It took 2 weeks to get any kind of answer. The "supervisor" I spoke with at Vivid Seats was not only rude, but said the following; that I could not prove that the tickets were invalid, or that I purchased new tickets (even though I had receipts to prove this) and that they would not refund me any money for the purchase of the tickets. He then argued with me when I tried to explain that I did have proof and he kept repeating that I should have tried to call the day of the event. Again, I tried to explain that I did call the day of the event, but was unable to get a hold of an actual person. I also tried to explain that I called first thing the next morning. I ended the call at that point, as the "supervisor" continued arguing and raising his voice at me.

Vivid Seats sells fraudulent tickets, inflates the prices of tickets, charges service fees that are outrageous, lacks professionalism and any type of customer service, and does not stand behind what they say.

Vivid Seats has Bruce Springsteen Tickets up on Sale before being offered to the General Public. I called and asked to insure whatever I purchased I would receive and was given the 100% Buyer Guarantee Speech. Purchased Prudential Center for Jan 31st Section 9 Row 19 great seats at close to $600.00 each. Obviously they Undervalued the market as these tickets once released were selling for close to $1500.00 with all fees. I called several times and kept being reassured you will get what you contracted for.

Low and behold tickets received and they are not section 9 but Section 10 almost in section 11 which is literally almost BEHIND THE STAGE. When contacted they indicated these are "Comparable" Utter NONSENSE they couldn't fill the order at a Dollar value that made sense so they switched them out for INFERIOR seats.

After multiple calls waiting for supervisors etc the best they would offer was to waive their fees. Using their we can refund you if you wish line per their 100% buyer Guarantee. Next up complaint to the better business bureau. This company is a Bait & Switch Sam Operator and has no interest in you the patron. They should be investigated by the Attorney General and put out of business. BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VIVID SEATS!

I wish we had read the reviews of this outfit before doing business with them. Almost 300 complaints with the BBB against them in a single year? Really!?! Unfortunately, we found out the hard way that this company does what it wants without regard for what you ordered and paid for—and then claims they have the right to do so. If you purchase tickets through them, be clear that YOU are NOT their customer. They make their money by reselling other people's tickets—theat's who their customers are—NOT you! And it appears that they thus don't have to make nice—or even be honest.

We purchased over $1100 worth of theater tickets from them, got a confirmation of our carefully chosen seat locations, and then, moments later, printed out our tickets only to find that they were NOT the tickets we ordered and they had confirmed. Really?!? This was supposed to have been a treat for our grandchildren, not torture for us.

Adding insult to injury, what we paid for the tickets was twice what the face value of the tickets showed when we printed them out.

Okay, we're in our 70s and 80s and probably easier to scam than most people—but Vividseats, is this really the way you'd treat your own grandparents?!?

October 6th, 2015, purchased Cleveland Browns tickets. Selected and purchased two tickets, section 506, row 1, seats 14 & 15. Ticket delivery is electronic. Email confirmation and tickets both read "Row 11" instead of row 1. Called to have this matter corrected so I could receive the row 1 tickets I purchased, they claimed that I did in fact purchase row 11, that this was a mistake on my end, and that they could not refund cost of tickets, but would refund their fees for the ticket sale, amounting to $52 (out of $262 total price of the tickets, including fees).

I attempted to explain that I utilized their drop down box for searching for the tickets I would like to purchase. I also utilized their filtering system that allowed me to search tickets by row number. With this being my first ever trip to Cleveland to see the Browns play (a "bucket list" event for this Florida resident) and that it is mine and my wife's 25th wedding anniversary, I was only interested in tickets that were in row 1. Their search engine made it very easy to find all the tickets available in row one and their corresponding prices. I found that Vivid Seat's prices were a little lower than the other major competitor's, so I selected the above mentioned tickets, verified my order (notating to myself that these tickets were, in fact, row 1 seats), inputted my credit card information, and saw that it could take 24 - 48 hours to receive an email confirmation of my purchase. When I received my email confirmation, it was incorrect, showing "Row 11" instead of row 1. Again, when I called for customer support, I received very little help (and a great deal of condescension) and...I still have these incorrect tickets.

I decided to purchase other tickets from Stub Hub. I purchased tickets that are in row 1 of a nearby section, received a tracking number later that day, and received my tickets via UPS in three days. The process was seamless. I then listed my Vivid Seats tickets for sale on Stub Hub, which took about 5 minutes and, too, was a flawless operation. I attempted to also list these tickets back on Vivid Seats, and for some reason, the very same credit card that I used to purchase tickets from Vivid Seats would not verify the billing address when I inputted that information for my card. Instead, I received a mysterious error message that says "Credit Card Billing Address does not verify". I received that same message using another valid credit card, as well as using Safari and Google Chrome. I say "mysterious" since no one at Vivid Seats has heard of such a thing, and, therefore, again, I was told it is a problem with my card, "at my end". I asked to speak to tech support and their response was (verbatim) "tech support don't take no calls..." I was also informed by this "manager" that "tech support would probably not be able to help you either..."

All I want is my money back for the tickets I did not order. I spoke with several "managers" and received the same scripted lines. I am fully aware that computers can make mistakes, that strange "glitches" can and do happen al the time. That is a way of life. I have no problem with that fact. But in dealing with Vivid Seats I am only left to surmise that they are a sloppy and undependable company that will not stand behind their service nor will they honor their mistakes.

I will never, ever even consider purchasing tickets from Vivid Seats in the future and am committed to share my experience with as many people as possible to deter them from purchasing tickets from this corrupt, valueless, horrible company. I have registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and was shocked to see the amount of similiar complaints posted against this wretched organization.

Vivid Seating failed 3 major things that affected the billing I received. 1. Prices fluctuate based on how many people are viewing tickets. There is no mention of this anywhere on Vivid Seat's website. This is never mentioned at any time to the customer. Current prices are more than half of what I actually paid for tickets less than 24 hours ago. This is my main issue. I Vivid seats advertise that they "Find the best prices" and "provide the best value". This is simply not true and false advertising. They portray themselves as a ticket distributor, which is false they are scalpers. The tickets that they are selling are not even sold through Ticketmaster.

2. When purchasing tickets from ticket master or other competitors you are able to purchase the desired seats that you want. Vivid only provides sections to choose from. Row 17 (which I got) is not worth the same as row 1.

Pricing works in Vivids favour as they charge row 1 prices for entire sections

3. Failure to clearly state that prices are in US. When purchasing tickets to a concert in Canada it makes that the prices would be in Canadian. This charged me an extra 30% based on conversion.

There is absolutely no transparency with this company. You have to dig to be able o find out the truth about what kind of retailer they actually are. They charge a fee for e-mailing the tickets, which is completely bogus

2 options to satisfy me.

1. I want the prices that were available today. Not the inflated price that I paid yesterday. I have been monitoring prices the last couple of hours and they haven't changed. I have a screenshot saved for the price of $227. This is what I want to be my price. I am willing to pay the email delivery fee, the service charges and delete my negative reviews that I have written on public forums and social media.

2. Complete refud of my charge.

To summarise, I want my bill decreased from the 1829.91US to (227*4) + (55.93(service fee)*4) + (3.95(shipping fee)*4) = 1147.5 US

I purchased tickets from vivid seats to see Alan Jackson @ Bridgestreet arena in Nashville Tn. When I ask a employee of the arena which would we need to enter to see Alan Jackson concert she informed this was the preacher & not the country music singer. Vivid seats advertisement states "With more than 60 million records sold worldwide, the Alan Jackson tour is certainly one of the live music highlights of the season, so get your Alan jackson tickets today and enjoy this country music legend performing his sensational, self -penned hits right before your eyes." I feel this fraud, misrepentation & complete lie. Due to this I purchased 2 to see a preach when I saw Billy Graham for free in Florence Alabama. The face view of these tickets were only $25.00 each but due to vivid seats selling for scalper I paid over $230.00

I placed an order by mistake. I contacted Vivid Seats literally within minutes of placing the order. They refused to cancel the order, even though they won't even be electronically delivering the item for another week. I asked them over and over, and they still refused.

The order was for over $300 dollars. I now have $0 in my bank account. I'm a single mom with two kids aged 4 and 6. I don't get paid for another week.

For a retailer to refuse to cancel a mistaken order is downright unethical. Don't EVER use these guys.

$185.00 service charge for ordering four tickets to a hockey game?

And then an dadditional $10.00 for email delivery of the tickets?

Purchased tickets 6 months ago for my daughter's birthday to a concert on Sept 14th 2015. Did not receive tickets in email until 4 days prior to the concert. When she got to the concert they would not let her into the concert indicating that the ticket bar code was not valid. So - we could prove we purchased them from Vivid Seats for the date/time, but for some reason because the bar code was not valid they could not get in.

Valid Seats offered no solutions to the problem stating that the issue was with the primary purchaser. When I originally purchased the tickets I missed that this was a 3rd party vendor. Obviously it was my responsibility as a consumer to know that. However, now that we dealt with this issue it makes no sense that they do not validate the ticket in any way. They had my money for 6 months, but ultimately we are unable to use them and frankly I dont trust that they will give me my money back (caveat - haven't tried yet)

People on the help line were completely ineffective. Not really sure why they even have a help line as they just kept saying that the fault was with the primary ticket purchaser.

Caveat - person I spoke with was very professional despite my absolute distain for this company. Very professional- but bottom line.... Do NOT purchase tickets from this company. If anything goes wrong you will not know until the bitter end, when you are standing there wishing you could get into a sold out concert. It is the worst possible situation.

Vivid Seats will NOT help you.

I purchasd 4 tickets from Vividseats.com. Website wanted to know how many tickets were needed and I entered 4. It gave me a price of $100 and something. I don't remember the exact amount BUT I was willing to pay that amount. After all...These tickets were to see a youtube personality not some big rock star concert.

So I preceded to purchase tickets. At the end it tells me that my order was over $500. I immediately called the company and told her what happened and the response was pretty much OH WELL. She offered no help... so much for the customer guarantee indicated on that page as well.

I then received the emails from www.vividseats.com. I immediately sent the tickets back to them and replied to that email stating their website was misleading and they could resell these tickets.

I contacted my bank to file a claim with them at this point. i would have never spent this kind of money to see a youtube personality. REALLY?

Vividseats page does not incate that this a per person price. Which apparently it was and then they tacked on over $100 for their services as well. Sure didn't get my monies worth of services either.

This morning I received a call from Vividseats. Not sure why they called me because they told me nothing new. I guess they felt the need to tell me that they weren't going help me again.

I have contacted another website (stubhub) and purchased tickets that were closer seats and less than 1/2 the price. Certainly no value at vividseats.com or customer service At www.vividseats.com. This is not the way to do business!
