Vital Dental Center Reviews

WARNING: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, wish I never went to this place. I got sucked in by the 'FREE' Exam flyer they sent me. They ended up billing me $950, cut a chunk of flesh out of my tongue (without telling me; my mouth was still numb until I got home), and they left me with two aching teeth. I think they may have damaged a nerve.

My wife was shocked when I got home, my tongue was bleeding and had a chunk cut out of it. I notice blood when I rinsed my mouth out while in the dentist's chair, and thought that was odd. The Doctor, Martin A. Maya (owner/operator), and assistant did not say a thing. Apparently, when they were replacing fillings (that they said needed replacing; no decay or damage to them; I should have gotten a second opinion), they cut my tongue. They were quite rough on my mouth, it was very sore once the numbing went away. They took no care of my cheeks or lips during the procedures, as they were bruised when I got home. And my shirt was wet from the dental hygienist spilling water down my neck.

I don't know how they managed to cut a chunk of flesh out of my tongue, I have never had that happen before, as I would expect no one else has. I can't even bite my tongue and take a chunk out of it. I figure that they were so rough on my mouth, pulling my checks and jaw this way and that way, forcefully pushing metal instruments into my mouth, and around, back and forth, they must have pinched my tongue with one of their instruments with enough force to slice a chunk of flesh off. There was still blood coming out of my tongue when I got home, so they knew what they did, but they said nothing! They just sent me home with a $950 bill and a bleeding mouth!!!

All this happened because I responded to their flyer for a "Free Exam". Now I may need a root canal, if they damaged a nerve. STAY AWAY from this place, there are many better places you can go.

I am currently disputing the bill with my bank. The flyer even states on it that if they charge me for any other services they perform (other than the 'Free Exam'), that I have the right to cancel payment or be reimbursed. I called the office and talked to Evelyn (the 'so called manager'), and she would not cancel the charge. I will update the results of the bank dispute. If things do not go my way, I will be seeking legal representation to file a suit. I would like to hear from prospective attorneys about my case.
