Vista Realty is an unprofessional property 'management' company that steals money from their tenants. My brother rented a house from Baldwin Properties that Vista ended up buying. He was not told so I sent the payment for September's rent to Baldwin rather than Vista. Ever since, Vista has been sending threatening letters to him and even tried to take him to court over something that was not my brother's responsibility.
This went on every month until he told him that he was moving out, and then he did not receive one of the threats. Now they refuse to return his deposit which is outright theft, claiming that he left the house in poor condition (it was left pretty much in the same condition as it was when he rented it, other than the hinge being broken on one of the very old kitchen cabinets, and black mold in the bathroom and back bedroom (this is due to there not being a fan in the bathroom. (You have to keep the door & window open or else it sweats & molds, and who can keep a window open during winter?)
We've reported them to the city for keeping a disgusting house. Do not rent from this unscrupulous co. - check out their poor reviews on Google, Angi, Yelp, and other sites. We had no choice but to stay in that house because Baldwin sold it to Vista while we were still in a 12 month lease.
