As a full time employee of Virtual Assistants of America... I worked for Harvey Spector Aka Brenton Wombles for 4 months At first he paid me a small stipend as a four hour a day consultant. He then asked me to go full time (9-5) for the company. Our payroll was serviced first by ADP and then by Paychexs.
I found myself waiting for a paycheck for over 6 weeks. He offered so many excuses. Things like ADP made a crucial error and he had to change payroll companies. That his identity was stolen and money taken from his bank account to paychex who was making errors as well. After 7 weeks....I received a paycheck from Paychex which I immediately deposited and paid bills that were over due. Five days later Bank of America informed me that the check was returned for non sufficient funds. I was out the payroll money and $235.00 in bounced check fees.
He claimed that he was going to pay me so I waited another week and then I did not show up for work. The next day he deposited the funds in Pay Pal. I received notice from Pay Pal three days later that there were not funds available to cover the payment. I then realized.....I have been completely scammed.
At the same time, three other employees of the company had experience the same thing. After more research I found out the Harvey Spector is actually Brenton Wombles a career "white collar" crimimnal who is out of jail on parol. He has 6 felonies for "theft of servvices" and he is now operating out of his home and scamming not only employees but vendors who provide services which he resells and does not pay for.
I have contacted his local authorities and also his probation officer. I have not had much luck exposing him on LinkedIn and Up Works. They are not very interested in identifying or punishing scams as I am finding out.
This criminal needs to be stopped. This is the worst kind of crime.....non payment for services performed.....please help any way you can to expose this man and his crimes before more people are harmed.
