If at all possible do not buy from this facility. There are ethical breeders in the state of Indiana. This place needs to be shut down asap. From the countless reports to the state and the county it is well assumed she has connections to keep her mill open. I have visited this facility on numerous occasions. Others also have photographic proof of the swine that are mere skin and bones. I also have photos of the deploritory conditions these animals live in. This breeder buys from auction, Craig's list and other breeders and resells the piglets are their own. Lies and tells the public her pigs are the parents. This breeder is not legally licensed in the state of Indiana to sell any animals. The webpage and Facebook page claims they are. There are more than 70 documented cases of piglets with parasites and mange. The pigs are bred back to back with no breaks. Pay close attention to the pages. There are numerous litters each month. This breeder claims that she has been raising pigs for around 8 years. This is not true. This breeder tried to raise goats and that did not bring in enough profit. This breeder does not take responibility for the sick animals she sells. By buying from this breeder you are not saving these animals. You are only filling their pocket book. More money more animals equals more sales of over and inbred pigs.

It took me awhile to write this as I am a very fair person and gave Jennah the owner of Violet's Mini pigs a fair chance. I purchased my first pig in 2018 from Jennah we instantly fell in love. My 5 year old daughter adored her. Approximately 2 months later my husband called me while I was at work stating she was sick. I came home and rushed her to an ER vet over and hour away. Her heart rate was slow and temp was low. I had to pay $1,200 that night and they said Ito leave her so they could run more tests. She was put on life support. I told them I would spend whatever to save her !! The next day she passed away. They said it was neurological. My bill was over $6,000!!! I thought it was just a fluke thing and I understand things happen that we can't control. I did not blame Jennah for her death. Jennah agreed to replace her but I still had to pay for the flight for the next one. My husband picked up a male piggy at the airport and that night he was having convulsing seizures. We got him to the vet in the morning and they said he was dehydrated and hypothermic. Once again did not blame Jennah. Jennah agreed to give me another pig but I still had to pay for the spaying. It costs Jennah nothing to replace a pig and I was afraid to only have one. Since losing our first Paisley was so traumatizing for us and my daughter. I did not want to fly another pig so she agrees to meet us in Dayton Ohio.

We got a small tiny black pig and named her Minnie. Minnie never was able to gain weight and my vet figured she was the runt. A few months later I took her back for blood work and she was filled with parasites even though she had the proper treatment for parasites. The bloodwork showed her white blood count was low and the vet insisted I drive her to the Ohio State University for testing. I drive over 3 hours one way. Jennah swore she had worms because I rescued another pig from a bad situation but he was treated and vetted when I brought him home as the other were. The board certified vets insisted she was very sick and her bones were brittle because her body was absorbing proper nutrition. I took her home and she lived approximately a week. I fed her with a syringe and she withered away to nothing. I had a necropsy done in her which showed she had a liver shunt which was from Jennah interbreeding the pigs. Jennah said she would replace her and I told her I couldn't take the heartache again!! A friend of mine also purchased a pig from Jennah and he died at 6 months old suddenly. Jennah is a money hungry breeder and does not care about the welfare of the animals. And I forgot to mention they all came to me with mites and worms! My friend also got mited from her pig. Please do not purchase a pig from her . They are not healthy and you will experience nothing but a heartache. My friend visited her farm and she said the living conditions were terrible and they were crammed and not properly cared for. I would be happy to answer anyone's questions about her. As I still own one pig from her and so far he made it a year which I'm thrilled but who knows what his future holds. I did rescue 2 pigs from bad situations and they both are doing well. I can at least live with myself not sure how Jennah does it!! So wrong in so many ways. Unethical breeder

The real truth

I got my mini pig October 2018. I drove down there to pick my pig up and she showed me the entire farm. She has them in nice areas with a house in each section. She showed me who my pigs parents were and gave me the background on them. During that time one of her pigs just gave birth that morning before I came down there and she showed me that momma with her two tiny babies. They had a heat lamp and the area was very clean. I was there for about 2 hours talking to her and seeing everything. She had some awesome farm dogs outside as well. She lives on a farm and it rained bad the night before so it was muddy but so is my back yard from my dogs....so for these people to say her farm is gross and her animals are not fed that is a complete lie! If you want to contact me and see what my pig looks like at 7 months please get ahold of me. She gave me such great guide lines and she takes such pride in her pigs. This is a breeder you can trust, and who is true to her word. Yes there are horrible breeders in this world who run mills but Violets mini pigs is definitely not one of them! I can’t wait to get another pet pig!

Love my pig from Violet’s

I had a totally different experience and opinion. I am in several mini pig groups that many members have also adopted a pig from here and we all have wonderful pigs and cannot say enough nice things about the breeder. I personally went to the farm and saw the adult pigs, pigs that recently gave birth and the nursery. All were clean and well maintained. I do not live near breeder, so use a completely different vet and the vet said they have never seen such a well behaved, smart, appropriate weight pig. A+++ in pig husbandry. I have seen two different vets and both had the same compliments. Breeder provides lifetime support for pig and pig family. It is unfortunate that people use these sites to get even or bash a business. Happy pig owner.

I was asked by a classmate of mine to come and check out her new baby pig she just adopted. Unfortunately I was unable to stop by that day. I reassured her that raising a pig was nothing compared to a kitten or a puppy and to give it some more time and that in no time they would have a bond that couldn’t be broken. I did proceed to go the following day after numerous texts of her exhausted and somewhat scared that there was something wrong with her pig. Upon arriving the 8 week old little girl was terrified and had scars as if she had been neglected. She didn’t respond to food, blankets, or anything that my other pig did when arriving home. She shook and trembled as I got her out piercing my ears with retched screams. As I examined her I found she had no front teeth. Not the normal cutting of the needle sharp teeth they have. Legitimately removed. There were serious sores in her gums and she could not keep her tongue in her mouth. My classmate stated she could not take care of Opal (mini pig) and asked me to adopt her. I did with arms wide open. After having her for the last two months and working with her constantly she is still very skiddish. I can hardly pet her let alone hold her. I have to feed her baby food/formula and baby rice, anything else she cannot chew. She has terrible anxiety and it has been better since she has lived with me. I recently learned she has an emotional attachment to my pig Gus who has lived with me and been trained since he was only 4 weeks old. I had to separate them for Gus to be neutered and she was even more evasive than normal. She even stopped eating and drinking. But it breaks my heart that they removed her teeth in such a horrid way. I assume they used no anesthesia either. But do not quote me on that because I have no clue if they did use pain meds or anything. I just would like justice for their inhumane treatment towards these little defenseless guys.

Gross place

My pig was covered in scabs. She just said our piglet needed a bath. She had caked on mud all over her body. She claimed she could not bath her for us. Told us it was a bonding experience for us. When we got her home we bathed her. She stood in the tub and didn't even resist. We think she didn't protest because it felt good. After washing away the mud there was obviously more to what was on our pig. Scabs and lots of them. After draining the water from the tub we refilled with fresh warn water. Thinking this would help soften the scabs so the dirt would fall off and most of it did. The more we were able to remove the dirt the more smelly she was. We took her to the vet the same day. The smell was infection. There were maggots in the sores and lots of puss. We didn't contact her back. There was no way our baby was going back to that place.
