Someone wanted to buy my car of Craigslist and made me fill out a vin report that cost me about 13$ and then had me send them that I did and didn't reply or show up the number was then disconnected.
I posted my car for sale on craigslist. I received a text message from a phone number that I later reversed looked up to see it was a Los Angeles, CA number. The person said they were interested in my car. They asked if I had ever run information on it before. They said they did not want to buy a lemon and asked me to please run the information on a link that was sent me to www. Carhistoryforme.com. It cost me $13. I figured I would buy it so I would have it if anyone else asked me. I got skeptical after I looked back at the text and realized It was it was a scam! Now I'm concerned about my credit card number being tampered with. I see I am not the only one this is happened to. Beware if you're selling your car on craigslist!
I posted an ad on Craigslist to sell my car and someone texted me saying that they are extremely interested in buying the car. They asked me to use this website just to verify the history of the car, however, they are just trying to get more traffic to the website. No intentions of actually buying. Total Scam. Do not use the site. I called him out and he never responded.
