Signed contract 10/26/15 for bathroom remodel ($3,800.00). Contractor requested $2,550.00 down payment to purchase materials. Paid contractor $2,550.00 (checks). Contractor purchased bathtub, shower, and toilet. Contractor removed bathtub, shower wall & flooring. He replaced shower wall, installed new tub and replaced piping (incorrectly). Contractor made empty promises throughout. He would schedule a time to work and would never call or show up. He stated that he had other jobs to complete first. I'm 86 years of age and was without use of my shower and bathtub for 2.5 mo.
On 12/18/15, contractor advised my grandson that he would refund me $1,800.00 for not meeting all the specifications of the contract.
My grandson and his uncle had to complete the bathroom remodel.
Contractor has not refunded any money to me as of 4/15/16.
