I have been with Vin viper for years as a matter of fact i was on there BETA program and helped him find all the bugs in the system, when i called and told them the system does not work and complained after many many times leaving messages and emails and no one ever answer my call nor the emails, Finally i received this email from Jason the owner to tell me he's shutting off my service and he did even though i paid for a whole year all the way until November of 2017, i have tried many times after he shut down my service by calling and emailing and no one ever return my calls nor the emails Here is the email i have finally received from the owner:

...there your account is off and i look forward to your complaint from the AG.

where else you can find, KBB, mmr, autocheck, carfax and a mobiel AND desktop solutioh for $400 a year you will be hard pressed and you might want to include carfax in that complaint but since you clearly have a law degree and haven't opted toread your terms of service, it might be fun to watch you plead such insane cause of action because a servic we offer for FREE didn't work. yes, didn't work. did you try to mitigage you damages by using the free carfax account/app? oh you didn't, oh i'm sorry you lack common sense.

don't call us again, don't threaten me again and don't waste my muther f**king time over bullshit like this when i'm working muther f**king 80 god d**n hours a week to fix s**t non stop from a*****e customers like you. we don't need you $400 a year.

find someone else. were done. thank you.

Terrible service

I have had the same experience. No service, call for help and get sent to voice mails. I think they have gone out of business. I paid in advance, and am probably out on my money. Never again. They suck

Hardship and hacking

Steve,

I'm very sorry you feel this way and what you don't see is all the blood, swear and tears all of us have shed to keep the lights on.

For 18 months we have worked hand in hand with the FBI helping build a case against a former developer that hacked VIN viper, and my family personally, for over 18 months. You have no idea the stress and total distruction a motivated hacker can cause.

We took a chance on this "kid" - on parole and looking for a second chance in life. We have him everything and even nursed at my house after we paid to have his wisdom teeth pulled.

I worked 20+ hour days for 11 months. We spent over 250K on security services; we had to rewrite every line of code for everything. We had to buy all new computers, servers, phones - anything that his rootlit could have touched.

And despite all that we still have several days where we went down due to his hacking and he stole over 140 accounts we use to manage and run VIN viper.

Despite all this we didn't raise prices did we? We responded as best we could but when someone steals your phone system login and shuts down your account or tries to reroute traffic from our domain or hacks my homes dropcam and posts Intimate videos of my wife and I we did the best we could.

As a side note have you ever thought about the value we provide at the cost we charge? You cannot get the same service at any less cost anywhere, much less with the security. Despite all the hacking NO customer accounts were comprosied or credit card data stolen.

Think about target and other billion dollar companies that have let us down - VIN viper didn't

So I'm sorry you experienced a few days here and there that the service was unavailable. But when he takes down an entire data center and hundreds of other companies it's a monster task keeping VIN viper online but we did 98% of the time. We've NEVER just gone down. So while you were moanjng about how terrible we were there were dozens of people up for over 72 hours doing their best to counter his attacks.

We're a small business and sounds like your a fellow business owner. We're not a billion dollar giant with unlimited resources and even they get attacked and go down.

VIN viper has stabilized and instead of investing all that time and money into new features and updates I took out another loan against my home so we could reinvest back into VIN viper to buy all new equipment to avoid and mitigate any more downtime that we could avoid. I literally threw over 250k down the drain just so we could get back to normal so dealers like yourself could be impacted less. .

That doesn't even take into account the million we lost in sales and deals during the hacking.

I pray you never are faced with the hurdles we had to overcome but believe me if you were you might have a little more empathy than blasting a small business because the $40 you spend a month didn't get you values a few days.

I've had vin viper for many years they provide me black book for. Wholesale evaluations of value I pay 400 a year for the service but the last 60 days service has been down for more then 3 days crippling my business and costing me thousand I couldn't buy cars. I travled outta state had no service which cost me in travel as well as misc expenses. I repeatedly called for no anwser always getting the run around. I asked many times for the owner to call never happens. I call and I email no response from anyone with in the company not the way to do business. I've asked for a credit or to be compensated for lack of service. I get no response from the company. buyer beware car dealers and wholesalers save your self time money and suffering I went threw w this company
