I just want to say something. I was a tenant in Iris Apartments Calle 45A 39B-22 Envigado. The so-called property manager, ROBERT SHOEMAKER, is a crook, thief con man and a scam artist all wrapped in one. He preys on anyone who is elderly and do not know the laws of Colombia or who don’t speak Spanish. He holds us prisoners and what he wants is things like Refrigerators washers and the like. He will make it very uncomfortable for any one who lives there. He gives you rental agreements in English to read over and then gives Spanish ones who don’t say the same. It should be an English one you read, and then a certified translation in Spanish by law. He will also try to get monies from you towards the end of the term, illegally. I would advise absolutely no one rent from this man, either Colombian or Americans. He also tries to get investors to invest in a property called Victory Towers, he has conned numerous individuals into investing in this. This property does not exist and is just a con. He also has rentals right across the street from Iris Apartments at Parques De La Gloria and Victory Towers.
We found an Angel there . She took us to the Fiscalia and Immigration to file a complaint about this thief. We got a restraining order and this con artist was not allowed to get near us so we escaped prison with out costing us a dime. Stay away at all costs.
