This company promotes and teaches its sales people to go to the local municipalities and poach permits obtained by legitimate businesses. He then goes to the homeowner and attempts to convince them to change their installers by making false claims and offering them a cash payoff to switch to his fake company. They don’t even have a website.
When you search for them the only thing that comes up is a forwarding link to Facebook. Has scammer written all over it. There are 1.4 million consumers in the Rio Grande Valley. Go find your own customers and stop lying to consumers.
I worked for Victory Solar, initially as a Solar Sales agent. When I started I was asked to sign a 1099 employee contract with terms clearly stated. After a few months of working there, I made some sales and was offered a position as the Regional Sales Manager. When I was presented with this promotion in writing, I was asked to sign a new updated contract with different terms, however, in addition to this contract, the owner forced upon me a Non-Compete agreement. Initially, I elected not to sign the non-compete because of the position it would have put me in. I told them that if I had to sign the non-compete just to gain the promotion then I did not want to be promoted. The owner then explained that I would need to sign it even if I wanted to maintain my position as a sales rep with the company. Many people in the company had also been complaining about not getting paid money they were owed.
When I threatened to quit because of this position they were putting me in, I was told that I would not be getting paid on a deal that I had already sold. Since I was relying on this money to pay my rent, I had no choice but to sign the agreements and take the promotion. After several weeks in this position, I had gotten extremely fed up with how poorly I was being treated. My position was threatened all the time, I would get hostile phone calls from the owner and his management counterpart at corporate and they expected me to put up with their verbally abusive communication every morning. Just before I resigned from the company I had sold several some deals and was expecting to be compensated as per the terms of my compensation agreement. Instead of doing the right thing, the company claimed that they did not owe me any money but that I owed them money. This company last left me in a very bad financial situation and now I have no choice but to sue them in court.
This is by far one of the worst companies you could ever work for. The CEO does not know how to run a company and when he hires people who have the talent to run his company he will screw them over by making their life a living hell.
