I went to via trading expecting to purchase merchandise I could resell at my own location and online. With this in mind I explained to the salesman I needed new merchandise. I was intent on Overstock and Shelf Pulls merchandise. I see another complaint on this site where the complaintant accused Via of cherry picking and sorting their merchandise. The company wrote a rebuttal denying the accusations. The company is lying. Go on amazon or ebay websites and type in via trading. You will see that they do in fact sell all the higher end items they cherry pick from your purchases or potential purchases. Everyone in that company lies and they put on a good act when in person. They will stop other employees and ask questions and the other employee is basically a yes man with a rehearsed reply. I spent almost $6,000.00 in one day on furniture and other pallets of merchandise. The furniture is prepared in a way that you cannot not visually inspect it at the time of purchase. They leave the "New sales tags" exposed to indicate it is new items. Then your salesman will say "I never heard of this store where we got this merchandise". Then he will pull aside another salesman and ask him if he's ever heard of this company. As planned the other saleman will say "Yes, I've seen it only a few times but their merchandise goes fast because its all new furniture". Then your salesman will say "Wow! I didn't know about this merchandise. I will have to keep an eye out for it for now on because new merchandise sales fast!!!" I advise you if you're going to Via Trading to walk in and do not let a saleman assist you. Just monitor and observe their traits. You will see that it is one big act. They are faking their questions and replies. I have had some success in Via but the failures far outweigh the success. The day I spent the almost $6k ended up being a complete loss. I complained to the company about only the $2000 worth of couches and they offered me a $500 in store credit. $500 for $2000????? That is unacceptable to me cause it costs me that much in gas to drive from Arizona to Los Angeles just to accept this offer. They have the same girl going around the internet typing up the same boring rebuttal to every complaint they receive. The place is a third party vendor and if you google liquidators or wholesalers you can find avenues to just buy direct from the stores. Do not buy from Via cause you're basically paying them to cherry pick your merchandise and still sell it to you for more than it costs to go direct. In fact once you google it and find your new source you will see that you get free shipping within a 500 mile radius. Via does not offer this. They buy direct and get free shipping on most of their loads... Then charge you shipping to have it delivered to you. The place is one big scam!!!
