Vet Playas Veterinary Clinic Reviews

In October of 2015 our dog was hit by a car here in the states. Needless to say, we rang up a bill of $1900 dollars in a matter of hours here in Chula Vista. We removed our dog Nala from emergency services here and decided to take her to Vet Playas. The medical staff and clerical were very helpful and we ended up paying for necessary surgery and care that totaled over 30 days. They did an adequate job. my only complaint is that my wife didnt seem to like the attendant named Ron. i'm not surte if he is an investor/owner or hired help. I'm assuming he plays a large role but its not clear. Anyhow, he seemed to be upset the first time we visited our dog because we showed up unannounced about 5 minutes after they opened. He mentioned they had to clean up prior to patients/owners arriving. this did not set well w either of us of course. he late rapologized but my wife still felt tension. Nala came home w us a couple of days later but we were forced to return because her stitches came apart at the laceration area. She went back for an extended stay (about 3 weeks) and began to heal at home w us. The Problem; She became very timid and yelped a lot for about a month after arriving home. shes a very strong confident dog and i feel they may have handled her roughly. she missed us and i'm sure howled a lot but i would bet a weeks salary she was either mentally or physically abused. She would wince and cry when we approached her to change her dressing or even pet her. It took about 3 weeks before she started to become herself again. Once again, this is purely my deduction but ive worked with children all my life and dogs react in a similar way when theyve been mentally/physically hurt or injured. The medical were good but i simply cant understand what may have affected my dogs psyche after the 2nd extended stay. As for Ron, i have no idea what his role is. Perhaps shaving and and not looking like he did an all nighter may help.

Vet Playas' Yelp Score is a lie.

Beware of incompetent and dishonest Vet Playas. An American, named Ronald Richards, the owner of Vet Playas, has admitted in writing to a customer who's dog inhumanely suffered and died after being treated at Vet Playas, that he is flagging all negative Yelp reviews about Vet Playas.

Richards admits in writing that Vets are afraid to go to Vet Playas at night for fear of being robbed and or kidnapped, yet his website (which is filled with numerous false statements) states "it's safe."

It is unfortunate that anyone would take advantage of companion animals and those who love them -- during an emergency.
