Vestel Logistics Co. Reviews

I was contacted by Stanley B. Lawson for a work from home job as a Project Manager for Vestel Logistics. I accepted and signed all paperwork (as well as over the phone interviews) that was sent to my email. Training was for 4 weeks, once completed $2000-$4000 would be mailed to your address. The 3rd week of training, I was asked to participate in a part time project ordering office equipments with my credit card transferring funds from their account. I declined saying "I do not own a credit card." No problem, stated Stanley, we will issue you a corporate card & continue your training. My training continued and after I completed my final test in September, I received an email from Stanley B. Lawson detailing scores will be released in 5 days or less & Stage 2 training will be held in NY, all expenses paid by Vestel Logistics. This training had to take place within 3 months because final test scores are only good for that length of time.

I emailed, called and left voice mails. No response. Emails are being returned to my inbox as undeliverable "permanently." Even though I did not use a credit card (I know someone else did); my name, address, birthday, & phone number was given to these people in hopes of obtaining a job that paid $90k a year!! I also monitor my credit on regular basis and so far I have not received any packages at my home. This is wrong on all levels and these people need to be stopped.

Well planned and executed ripoff (scam). Seemed to be a reputable company when I checked the internet. This position was for a Project Manager (Supply Chain Management). I applied and was contacted by Stanley Lawson via email. Most all communication was by email from Mr. Lawson. However, I was contacted by phone from a Anna Williams (HR). She had the same phone number as Mr. Lawson. When I called this number no one answered the phone at all! Left multiple messages, no response. At any rate, the initial email was from Mr. Lawson, who explained the position and stated that it would require 5 weeks training (from home) and if you passed all the training, you will have to go to New York for an additional 4 weeks of training. The first weeks training was sent via email, I studied the training packet and took the test and the end of each week and sent via email back to Mr. Lawson. He in turn sent an email (normally on Monday-Tuesday) the following week stating you did great and were email the second week's training, Friday test again. This proceeded for about 3 weeks, then I was sent an email stating that a part-time position opened up and instead of the $2K you would receive at the end of the training (if you passed all 5 weeks) you would receive $4K. I could go on and on, however, this is what I questionned immediately. I ask what the part-time job entailed and he stated they needed equipment such as laptops, etc., purchased and shipped to Denmark as they were having a hard time acquiring these. Really, a company if this stature (on-line) having a "hard time" obtaining equipment. He then stated they would give me full access to their banking information. My response was "no" not interested. He responded via email he completely understood and continued to send me weekly training updates and test results. At the end of week 4, he sent me an email stating that a check was cut on September 12th and mailed to my home. No check ever arrived! I checked the scam reports on the internet and saw that someone else posted a report on September 15-16. I then emailed Stanley and ask to please tell me this was untrue. He never responded and the last email I sent the email address was disabled. I consider myself a fairly educated educated person and this one got me unfortunately. I am retired so I really do not care as I am not working anyhow and just went along with the program. I had a gut feeling that I would never receiive the $2K when I declined to purchase equipment for Vestel.

I applied for a job as a Project Manager from a repitutable job board. I was sent an email from the "employer" that they would like to proceed with next steps. I got an application/questionnaire to fill out - which was pretty standard - asking interview type questions. Then I got a phone interview and was told that they would like me to start training. Training consisted of 3-4 weeks of studying and tests. You get a study guide daily and on Fridays, in addition to the study guide you also get a test that covers the materials for that week. You get paid $2000 at the end for your time and if you test scores are high then you get to participate in part-time work to increase your earnings for training to approx. $4000.

There is a company website and all seems legitimate - untill they approach you for the part-time work. This is where the scam starts - they tell you that they are opening another office in Europe and need assistance finding computer supplies for the office.

They want to give you an account to take the funds from and put into your credit card or bank account. You find and locate the items requested and ship to the office in Europe. I am sure the initial funds are stolen and you are then out your money and in debt for all the items purchase and shipped.

i think it is horrible that people are trying to exploit individuals that are looking for work and some people could be out of work for months at a time and don't have money in their accounts to lose this kind of money. Please get the word out. I didn't fall for the scam but they did manage to get my address and birthdate from the initial form that I had to fill out to apply. I didn't give them anything else and I already monitor my accounts montly through a credit report agency. Some people not as savvy could definitely fall for this as it's very elaborate.

I have all documents and corresponse from them. I also thought it was a scam fairly early on but didn't know for sure until the 3rd week when I was approached for part-time work. I called the skyscrapper building that they list as their address and spoke to the person who rents all office space and she didn't have them as a company. I also receieved a phone call - supposedly from their main office in Coppenhagan but it was at 4:30 PST and I believe that would make it about 1:30m or so in Coppenhagen.
